Intergration of RETL with Netezza

Can we deploy RDW on Netezza and perform the ETL using RETL. Technical specification of RETL says that the supported DBMS are Oracle, DB2 and TeraData. I expect that integration of RETL with Netezza is certainly possible but how tedious and cost effective will the development be?

This forum is for Retail Data Model, which does not work with RETL or Netezza.

    If you have Data stage then you can use this ETL to extract the data from IBM AS400 to SAP BI.
    In order to enable extraction of data and metadata from non-SAP sources on the application level, SAP BW provides open interfaces - staging BAPIs. BAPIs (Business Application Programming Interface) are standardized programming interfaces that offer external access to the business processes and data of a SAP system. These interfaces enable connection between various third-party tools (such as Extraction, Transformation and Loading) and SAP BW. In this way, for example, data from an Oracle application can be transferred to SAP BW and can be evaluated there.
    Similarly you can tranfer data from Data Stage to your BW system.
    You can find more information on data transfer using staging BAPIs in your SAP BW system in the BAPI Explorer (transaction BAPI). On the Hierarchical tab page, choose SAP Business Information Warehouse --> Warehouse Management.

    Hi,
    I've integrated Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 for use with
    Contribute 3, by doing the following within the Site Definition
    Window (within Dreamweaver 8):
    - Setting the FTP Remote Info (Test works)
    - Enabling Check In / Check Out
    - Enabling 'Maintain Design Notes'
    - Ticked the 'Enable Contribute compatibility' under the
    Contribute option
    - Clicking on 'Adminster Site in Contribute' works fine, I
    can connect, adminster global options and User roles.
    BUT
    Whenever I check-in or check-out a website file using
    Dreamweaver, I get the popup message:
    "The file required for Contribute compatibility does not
    exist on the server. Would you like to turn off Contribute
    compatibility?"
    I always say No and the upload/download works ok, but I would
    like to know what is causing this message to appear?
    Any pointers?

    I am trying to do multi-sourcing using Netezza and Oracle.   I need to connect to Netezza and Oracle both as datasource and create Dashboard reports. Is it possible to use Netezza and Oracle both simultaneously? I have the connection for oracle and its working fine, but how do I add Netezza connection to the existing rpd and merge it in the business layer. Do I need a specific driver for that or any settings to be done?

    Yes we can do that.
    To connect to Netezza via ODBC, a Netezza ODBC driver must be downloaded and installed. Next, an ODBC data source must be set up via the Windows data sources control panel. See the following link for more information on how to set up an ODBC data source:

    You're talking about single-sign on and is doable, certainly,
    but how easy?
    That all depends on how the various components were built.
    Some components will allow you to configure the
    authentication database to
    use an existing one. If that's the case, then it's fairly
    simple to
    do...just have each component point at the same
    authentication database.
    Alas, a lot of componetns are NOT set up that way. In which
    case you have
    two main options:
    - set up a process on the server to replicate user
    credentials from one
    components authentication DB to the next
    - have people sign up individually for each component.

  • Reporting Services not able to connect with sharepoint

    We have a Sql server instance where we are not able to install reporting services, so what we have done is we have created one more sql server instance on the same server with reporting services.
    When we configured reporting services in sharepoint integrated mode and try to connect that web service url in sharepoint we are getting an error in sharepoint central administartion  that not able to connect to the reporting services.

    are getting an error in sharepoint central administartion”? For example, the detail steps about the action, the screenshot of the action, and what error message you received. I’m not sure which step are you trying to do. And could you tell me the edition of
    your SQL Server and SharePoint? It is benefit for us to do further analysis.

    We can integrate Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services with SharePoint Foundation 2010 or SharePoint Server 2010 by configuring a report server to run in SharePoint integrated mode. There are some prerequisites for integrating SSRS Reports with SharePoint,
    including Report server requirement, SharePoint Products and Technology requirements and Database server requirements in SQL 2008 R2.
    The Reporting Services Configuration Manager is no longer required or supported to configure and administer Reporting Services SharePoint mode in SQL 2012. Use SharePoint Central Administration to configure a report server in SharePoint mode.

    Hello,
    Typically CR queries the database and the client tells CR what the field type is. If there are any types we can't match we usually convert it to a String type but it all depends on the version of Crystal Reports you are using.
    I'm not familiar with Netezza so I can't help you with specifics.
    All I can suggest is to try creating a report and if you have a problem then post your question with Specific details and any errors generated.

    you can use a page or application item to store the name of the report you want to call.
    Something like this:
    &REPORTS_URL.&module=&P2_REPORT_NAME.&destype=cache&desformat=&P2_DESFORMAT.&p_param_id=&P2_ID.all you need to do is set the item to the value you need (e.g. invoice2.rdf)

  • Netezza connection in ODI

    Hi all,
    I am trying to connect with netezza db which is on ODBC driver connection from ODI 10g, but while connecting i found netezza-JDBC driver and i used that(nzjdbc) driver to connect to the netezza db. But while creating new physical schema, i found the error as follows:
    java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: org/netezza/Driver (Unsupported major.minor version 49.0)
    Is that the version difference or the driver difference?? If so, may i know the solution for this issue.

  • Aironet 1310 with integrated antenna outdoor placement

    Hi Guys.
    One of our offices may be moving in the future to a building facing ours. Im thinking of buying 2 1310 outdoor AP/bridge devices intergrated antennas along with the roof mount kits. The buildings are in perfect line of site and our approx 33 meters apart.
    The issue is that both buildings are metal clad. Will this have any bearing to the radio connection between the devices ?

  • ACS 5.1 with Windows Active Directory

    Hi All,
    I installed ACS 5.1 in vmware server successfully. I have problem while intergrating cisco acs with microsoft Windows 2008 active directory. I already verfied all the related parameters like Domain name, user rights to join in AD, DNS name resolve and IP-Address.
    But, I can able to add any system into my domain without any issues and this is not happening in Cisco ACS 5.1 version.While testing the Active Directory - Test connection it prompts with error message " Can not resolve network address".
    Please help me from this issue.

  • Getting error while using javascript in Forms 11g

    From OTN I have downloaded .zip file contains demo of Integrating Oracle Forms 11g with javascript.
    I have gone through every step and intergrated the javascript with Forms 11g.
    I am gettin an runtime error FRM-92190: JavaScript is unable to evaluate expression.
    Can anyone help me in this please.
    I placed every directory and file as mentioned in that demo.
    I use Win XP SP3,
    Forms [32 Bit] Version 11.1.1.4.0 (Production). patch set1.
    Internet Explorer 8.

    and I want to use javascript in our Forms application to enhance them.
    If I can understand that demo it may be easy for me to implement the JS in our application.
    That error says that some wrong expression passed to the web.javascript_eval_expr
    js.html is placed here C:\Oracle\Middleware\asinst_1\config\FormsComponent\forms\server
    Left out files and directories are placed here C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\middleware_int\servers\WLS_FORMS\tmp\_WL_user\formsapp_11.1.1\e18uoi\war
    updated my .cfg and .env file as required.
    Is it problem with configuring the JS files and directory or Problem with javascript code????

    My project is about to commence.
    Can anybody suggest me if SOLMAN is more appropriate tool for project management?
    What are the limitations of saolution manager?

    We use 3 major tools:
    1) MS Projects for Planning, WBS and capture major events. This is basically tracking tool.
    2) SAP Solman for Documentation. Lilke Business specs, Technical specs based on each process were documented, approved and stored in the SAP Solman. We also use SAP Solman to plan for Test Plan managements and Testing records thanks to the fantastic intergration of testing with Business documentation.
    3) MS Sharepoint for collobaration, storing the project relevant documents like Project meeting presentations, User Manauls, Team meeting status reviews and updates and yes Project event photos etc.,
    So in a nutshell there is no one tool can do everything for you especially when we are dealing with SAP Projects. SAP Solman have fine integration with SAP Project methods and System connection, but you need few other tools to keep track of whole Project.
