Intermedia not good at content search in chinese

At sqlplus oracle database 8.1.7 for sparc

network is ok and oracle database produce those file as follow:

if execute the sentence:
select comp_id from company where contains(ctx_content_zhs,'Az')>0 and rownum<100;
the result of return is correct!
utility of intermedia is very bad in chinese.

Chinese comes pre-installed. There's nothing special that needs to be done.

Search by tag not working in content search web part

Hi,
I am trying to configure content search web part that only pull result with a specific tags. I have created a document library and assign tags on some document, also configured Managed Meta data service and search service application. Schedule search continuous
crawl.
If i am not specify any tag content search web part shows results but when I restrict result with specific tag like (#HomePage) it doesn't pull any result, i have also run crawl after tagging documents in document library.
Kindly help me out.

Lets suppose you have your "managed metadata property" added to your list/library with name "MetadataColumn". Crawled property is created with name ows_MetadataColumn (I guess). Then You need to create a new managed property in
search settings and map it to your crawled property (ows_...).
Nothing else, use your Managed property in content search webpart and filter your results.

Basically,ctx.CurrentItem.ServerRedirectedURL is calculated by a managed property ServerRedirectedURL which needs to be included in the display template.

Item title won't show in Content Search Web Part

Hi,
I am trying to show news items from one site on another site. I can show all attributes so far, except for the title.
The field name of the title in the news item is 'title'.
In crawled properties, I have linked the title to Title, RefinableString00 and RefinableString12.
But the title either displays DispForm.aspx as a title (when I select title), or nothing (when I select the mapped property RefinableString00 or RefinableString12).
What can/should I do to show the title field?

According to your post, my understanding is that Item title did not show in Content Search Web Part.
You need to open the webpart either in SP designer or visual studio or as matter of fact in Notepad and search for the special property. And then add your list columns which you wants to display.

Content Search Web Part - Sorting not working

I recently tried the new Content Search Web Part for which i see tremendous potential. I wanted to use it to show a certain type of pages and that was not a problem (i added a url as the source where i got the pages from). I mapped the correct fields so
that it showed image, title and modified date. I then tried the advanced mode and told it to sort by the modified date, however any way I tried to apply this sort it just would not save my settings and reverted back to the default sorting. Is there anything
else you need to do to get Sorting to work?

When you search for a crawled property, you may find two crawled properties
that represent the same content. For example, a site column of type Text named
Color will during crawl discover two crawled properties: ows_Color and

letter code>, ows_q<four letter code>, or ows_taxId are automatically
created crawled properties. When you select a crawled property to map to a
refinable managed property, make sure that you don't map the automatically
created crawled property. Instead, always map the crawled property that begins
with ows_.
So clearly (as clearly as the doc makes it) I need to use ows_ArticleStartDate. I've made sure that crawled property is the one I'm using, but I'm still not seeing any effect.
As for the sorting model, that only seems to be relevant for Rank sorting, right?

We have created CQWP in SharePoint 2013 for images rollup and its paging perfectly working for authenticated users on all browsers but it’s not working on public facing site for specific browser
while we are trying to click on paging getting

We did log analysis and getting different kind of problem description on every click some time contents authentications error, sometime memory
Once I put webpart inside the  its completely stop working

In the “Property Mappings” of the Content Search Web Part, we can see that the Picture field will only display the value retrieved from “PublishingImage;PictureURL;PictureThumbnailURL”,
because there is corresponding column in OOTB Document Library holds the valid value of a thumbnail image for a document, that’s why documents from Document Library display no thumbnail image in a Content Search Web part.
If you want to display thumbnail images for documents of Document Library, you can add a custom Picture column to hold the thumbnail image of a document, set the “Property
Mappings” to display this custom Picture column.
By doing this, every time uploading a document to this library, setting a thumbnail image(provided by common users, not generated by SharePoint automatically) for
that custom Picture column, in the Content Search Web Part, the thumbnail image will display.

I am facing issues in searching, my managed metadata service is not running, search results page throws internal error. Any Idea why this above error comes.

Content Search is not Working

Hi,
I have uploaded few files( text and word documents) through OCS UI. When I try to search for documents using Content, noting is returning. I dont know why this is not working.
I want to search of all documents which has content serial# xxxx. I am uploading all these documents into a library with library administrator role.
Please advise

Can you search on file names and its only content search that is broken?
How long did you wait after uploading the files before doing the search?
I've had the case where the content indexer database job had gotten stuck because of some oversize content. You can make sure that the indexing job is still scheduled by logging into the content schema of your OCS database and executing the following:
select job, next_date, next_sec, last_date, last_sec, failures, broken, what from user_jobs;
This should return three entries, one of them will have IFS_TEXT in the what column. Check the next_date, next_sec and last_date, last_sec columns to see when it last ran and when it will next run. if those times are within 5 minutes of the current time, the index job is running correctly. Also check failures to see if the job has recorded any failures. If the Broken column says Y, the job has had a serious failure and you'll need to open an SR to get the job running again.
In my case, it quit running because a document to be indexed was larger than the could be handled (about 100MB text file), it failed several times and eventually the job went into the broken state. I worked with support to get the file out of the indexing queue and the job restarted.

Content Search Web Part Error / Control_list.js not found

Hello,
I am trying to use the Content Search Web Part but I receive an error:
Display Error: The display template had an error. You can correct it by fixin the template or by changing the display template used in either the Web Part properties or Result Types;
Template '~sitecollection/_catalog/masterpage/Display Templates/Content Web Parts/Control_List.js not found or has syntax errors. (Load Template;)
I am working on a fresh installation (out of the box) Sharepoint 2013 SP1 on which I have applied the latest CU.
I have checked the folder and I only have one file 'Group_Content.js'. I searched over the web and I found out that I am missing a lot of file in that folder.
Anybody can help me solve this without re-installation of SP?

Yep you are missing a lot of display templates if you only have the one.
Is this the root site collection or a new site-collection under /sites? If it's the root site collection, then I would suggest creating a new web application and site collection and seeing if the problem exists in that. If it does, then you may need to repair/rebuild
your SharePoint installation.
If it's a sub-site-collection and the root site doesn't have that problem, try creating a new site-collection and testing in that. Also ensure that you have publishing features enabled in the site collection.

Using term set as refiner in content search web part does not show all used terms

When you create a terms set (12 terms with +/- 10-20 child terms) , attach it to a site column and allow multiple values to be selected the search service does not find all used values in the REFINERS tab of the content search web part.
Example:
Field ‘Tags’ is the term set which can be refined. We want to do this in the REFINERS tab of the content search web part.
Tags is containing following fields:
•Course document
•Poster
•ALS
•Before
•During
•CPR/AED I
In all libraries we used +/- 15 different tags already.
Example of a tag field in the library: "Poster;ALS;Belgium"
The problem is we can’t see all of the used tags in the refiners tab when you open it for the first time. (You can see Belgium or Cyprus is not in the list of tags.)
When you select one tag and add it as a refiner, the others eventually do show up. But never all of them together. It’s like he is only showing the most used (and maybe first selected?) tags first. I also think he might be having some trouble
with multi value selections in the tag field.
Does anyone else have the same issue as we do? And is there a solution already?

According to your description, my understanding is that all the used terms cannot display in the Refiners in Content Search web part.
If the results display in the Search Result Preview, then the terms used in these results can be displayed in the Refiners tab.
I tested the same scenario per your post, and when I first opened it I can view all the terms which were used in the search results listed under owsmetadatafacetinfo.
I recommend to do a full crawl and then you can view all the terms used in the search results are displayed under owsmetadatafacetinfo.

Content Search not sorting User fields correctly

Hi All and Merry Christmas. Before I leave for the holidays I want to get this question in and hope someone has an answer.
I have a content type with a Person Field called Project Manager. This is a pretty ordinary field, users only, not groups, single person only, not multiple people, and the managed property has been tagged as Sortable. I access the data with this
column in a Content Search Web Part and sort on the column and the names don't come up in order. If I sort descending, the order is reversed from the Ascending, but both ascending and descending are not in alphabetical order.
I tried this in both our Test and Prod environments and the results are the same.
I created a new Person field from scratch, populated it with the same people, crawled the site and got the crawled and managed properties, made sure the managed property was searchable, queryable, and sortable, ran the full crawl again, and it gives the
same wrong results as the original column.
I am going nuts trying to figure out what is wrong.
I created a gerneric CSWP using the List control template and the Diagnostic item template, and put the name property in one of the lines. In the query I set the Sort to this property. I can think of no reason this won't work. The results
I get with the property in Ascending order is:

Content search webpart sorting not working

Using the Content Search webpart I have created a query that rollsup all the subsites of a particular path, which is working well. However, I have tried sorting using he sort by term SPSiteURL, unfortunatly that is not working. Does anyone have any idea
what I am doing wrong.

Thanks for the reply. I find that hard to accept becuase I can get the same webpart to sort like I want it to at our SharePoint Online sites, granted the sorting feature is in a diferent location within the edit webpart dialog but still basically the same
feature. Also, I would think that the SPSiteURL sort term does and should include the entire URL, which is unique to each site, which means that it should sort on the entire URL.
I think that it is reasonable to expect to be able to achieve this in some manner, maybe not the way I am trying to do it, but I have to think I am not the first person to want to present the results of subsites sorted alpha-numerically.

Searching function in mail app in ios7 is not good as before?

I am using 2 ipad with different IOS version 6.x and 7.x, I found that the search function in new ipad is not good as before.
In my old ipad, I can search email by some ways as by Sender, Date of send, Subject or any detail? However, the searching box in new email does not have those function so we can only put anything we can remember. In addition, the search results do not show in order as time by time so it is really hard to find what we want to find among mess of thousand mails in our inbox

I'm having the exact same problem here. I'm in Lion 10.73 running Mail 5.2.
This is very frustrating because the "list view" window, there's an attachement column that show's there's 2 attachments (presumably one image attachment for a signature and one for a pdf)... but in the message window there's no pdf attachment.
Surprisingly I have an iPad3 and the same message is missing the attachment as well.
But then I go online to my webhost's webmail access and the attachment is there.

BI Widgets 'Content Search' is not working

I have BI Widgets installed on my comp. I can log in bobj server and take xcelsius/webi reports as a widget.
I can see infoview folder tree and all reports in 'Document List Explorer' but when i type any words in
'Content Search' no search results return . I need to use Content Search tool.
Do i need any special configuration on BO server to make work 'Content Search' ?
