Intermittence for execute Polling with DataBase Adapter in OSB11g

Hello Guys,
I'm having a problem running the polling DataBase Adapter OSB11g. The creation of the adapter was made in Jdeveloper 11.
The problem is:
Intermittence to run the polling DataBase. Sometimes it works, other time it does not work.
Displays the following exception:
*<Info> <JCA_FRAMEWORK_AND_ADAPTER> <BEA-000000> <<oracle.tip.adapter.db.InboundWork handleException> BINDING.JCA-11624*
DBActivationSpec Polling Exception.
*Query name: [BD_XPTO_NOTIFICA_XPTOSelect], Descriptor name: [BD_XPTO_NOTIFICA_PRICING.XPTO]. Polling the database for events failed on this iteration.*
Caused by JTS transaction was marked rollback only.
This exception is considered retriable, likely due to a communication failure.  Polling will be attempted again next polling interval.
This is a BUG? Have Fix?
Tks,
Azevedo, Artur.

It looks like a database issue or a XA configuration issue? What database you're polling? Oracle? Sybase? Check if your database is supported...
Cheers,
Vlad

  • Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 Polling database table with Database Adapter

    We are trying to use the database adapter to poll for new and changed data in a database. To do that we try to use a sequencing table on an external database. But for that we need to specify the data-source name for the external sequencing table. Where do we need to define this data-source? We have tried with data-source defined in the Enterprise Manager, but it's not right. Also tried with the name of database connection in JDeveloper, still not working.
    Any ideas?

    Hi All,
    I have created a Database Adapter to poll the table for the new record or modified.

    hello,
    i have to do database polling..this is wat i have done.but instance is not getting created in BPEL..
    i have created a sequence in databse.
    i have created a source table in database which has three colums id,name,sequence.(generated by doin seq.nextval)
    i have created a table as seqhelper table which has two fields table_name and seqid.
    now i hav dragged a db adapter.I hav chosen poll,update seq table..and given my seq table name,seqname filed as table_name,seqvalue field as seqid.and sequence fiels ad sequence column of source table ...and done polling frequency as 5 seconds.
    now created a bpel process,chosen interface as based on wsdl and selected db adapters wsdl file and linked to bpel after removing the default exposed service of bpel..so bpel as one receive activity joined to db adapter...

  • Guaranteeing sequence order when polling with DB adapter

    We need to read rows from a source table using the DB adapter in polling mode, and deliver them to separate files in the same order they were read from the DB.
    My understanding is that when polling, if we find 10 records to be processed, 10 separate BPEL processes will be created.
    It's not clear how to then maintain the sequence order when creating the files, as each process may execute faster or slower than others.
    Any advice appreciated
    Toby

    Marc/Sjoerd,
    Firstly, thanks for your replies.
    On Marc's suggestion, if say we read 100 records using the database adapter, we get 100 processes. How do we control which process will be the first one to be processed, and which of the remaining 99 processes will be subsequently processed once the first has been completed by the cruncher process?
    Sjoerd's 1st and 2nd option are not acceptable to us - we have to ensure the same order the records are read. for example record 1 could be a creation and record 2 could be an update to the first so delivering the update to the destination system before the creation will result in an error.
    I'm not clear about option 3 - this sounds similar to Marc's suggestion. I can't see how order is maintained between a group of processes created as a result of the database adapter polling, and them being serviced by a cruncher/singleton process. What is to stop the bp which contains the first record being processed first, then the bp which contains the fifth record being processed second, then the bp which contains the second record being processed third etc?
    Thanks

  • Problem with database adapter on plsql procedure with in/out parameters

    running BPEL 10.1.3.1 and using the database adapter on a plsql procedure with in/out parameters I get errors

    In BPEL 10.1.2.0 this isn't a problem. I tested it against a 10.2.0.1 and a 10.2.0.2 database and in both situations I get the error with BPEL 10.1.3.1 and no error with BPEL 10.1.2.0
    it appears to be a problem in the database adapter...
    anyone with the same problems and/or a solution?

    Not of any use to you, but we had exactly the same problem on Friday when we applied AS 10.1.2.2 Patchset on top of BPEL 10.1.2.0.2.
    The clob in our pl/sql proc wan't declared as in/out but for some reasons JDeveloper had created a clob on the Output Parameter type in the db partner link xsd. I removed this and it worked. This code had been untouched , and working fine, for months.
    I'll be raising an SR today.

  • Error with Database adapter

              Hi All,
    I am using a database adapter to write values to database.The build was successful.However when i test it in the console with the sameple input I am getting the below error.
    ERROR:

Unable to locate the JCA Resource Adapter via .jca binding file element <connection-factory/> The JCA Binding Component is unable to startup the Resource Adapter specified in the <connection-factory/> element: location='eis/DB/DB_Conn'. The reason for this is most likely that either 1) the Resource Adapters RAR file has not been deployed successfully to the WebLogic Application server or 2) the '<jndi-name>' element in weblogic-ra.xml has not been set to eis/DB/DB_Conn. In the last case you will have to add a new WebLogic JCA connection factory (deploy a RAR). Please correct this and then restart the Application Server Please make sure that the JCA connection factory and any dependent connection factories have been configured with a sufficient limit for max connections. Please also make sure that the physical connection to the backend EIS is available and the backend itself is accepting connections. ". The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception.
    Can anyone help me out to fix this error.
    Thanks in advance.

    From the error it is clear that your composite is not able to find the DB jndi.The JCA Binding Component is unable to startup the Resource Adapter specified in the <connection-factory/> element: location='eis/DB/DB_Conn'.
    Please follow these steps:
    1) Have u created DB jndi eis/DB/DB_Conn that you are using on weblogic console.
    2) After creating did you redeploy the DB adapter on weblogic console.
    3) If you have done above 2 steps cross check your jndi exists in ur DB adapter or not on weblogic console.
    That could only be the possible reasons for the error you are getting.
    Hope this helps.

  • Placeholder for IN condition in database adapter

    I'd like to pass a parameter to a database adapter which will modify the "in condition" portion in a select. For example:
    select firstname
    from xxx
    where
    lastname in (#arg1)
    Is this the correct syntax? If so, what values will arg1 take? Something like this string (including quotes)?
    'lname1','lname2','lname3'
    Or is it something else?
    So,
    1. what is the syntax in the sql statement in the db adapter
    2. what is the syntax of the data passed in to this placeholder?

    Thanks for your response.
    Actually, I'm trying to test this out via the web service tester in Enterprise Manager. When I insert the following into the tester's generated form field, execution of the sql fails, apparently for a missing value:
    'lname1','lname2','lname3'
    I'm not sure I understand your comment "while passing the values if it has varchar2 values appened it with single quotes and send into the adapter". Where would I have any access to a varchar2 in the adapter or the mediator that feeds it?

  • Using for-each for input into a database adapter

    As input to a Web service I have an XSD that has parent elements and two unbounded child elements. I want to use XSLT to loop through the child elements to include them as comma separated strings for use in an IN clause in the query of the database adapter. I have the following XSLT in the input to database adapter XSL:
    <db:child_elements>
      <xsl:attribute name="xsi:nil">
        <xsl:value-of select="/inp1:path/inp1:to/inp1:child_elements/@xsi:nil"/>
      </xsl:attribute>
      <xsl:for-each select="/inp1:path/inp1:to/inp1:child_elements/inpl:child_elements">
        <xsl:value-of select="."/>
        <xsl:if test="position() != last()">
          <xsl:text>,</xsl:text>
        </xsl:if>
      </xsl:for-each>
    </db:child_elements>I am getting three error:
    1) Error: Invalid Usage of <for-each> Element
    2) Error: Invalid Usage of <if> Element
    3) Error: This node is already mapped, repeating nodes not supported : "/db:databaseAdapterInput/db:child_elements"
    Any idea of what the problem is here? Are for-each loops and if statements simply not allowed in Oracle SOA Suite? Thanks in advance!

    For SQL Server 2005+ you can use the OUTPUT clause. E.g.
    DECLARE @Source TABLE ( ID INT, Payload INT );
    DECLARE @Destination TABLE
    ID INT IDENTITY ,
    Payload INT
    DECLARE @IdentityValues TABLE ( ID INT );
    INSERT INTO @Source
    VALUES ( 1, 1 ),
    ( 2, 2 ),
    ( 3, 3 );
    INSERT INTO @Destination
    ( Payload )
    VALUES ( 0 );
    INSERT INTO @Destination
    ( Payload )
    OUTPUT INSERTED.ID
    INTO @IdentityValues
    SELECT S.Payload
    FROM @Source S;
    SELECT D.ID ,
    D.Payload
    FROM @Destination D;
    SELECT IV.ID
    FROM @IdentityValues IV;

  • Reading MS Access Database file with database adapter in soa

    I have an .MDB file on another machine that i want to read from within SOA composite using database adapter. can i do that ? how ?

    Have you checked out the jdbc-odbc bridge from Sun?  I would think you should be able to create a jdbc connection to Microsoft Access.  With that connection, you would then be able to create a jndi entry on the DB adapter from SOA.  I haven't used this before, so I'm not sure how well, or even if it would work.

  • Can we access the e-business apps schema with database adapter

    Hi..
    can we access the tables/views/api's in apps schema using database adapter. Generally we access it using oracle apps adapter.
    Thank you,
    Dan.

    Hi Dan,
    As mentioned by the other user, you can very well use the db adapter as APPS Schema user to connect to any APPS instance.
    This is the reason why you have the connection navigator in JDev not differentiating much for APPS adapter connection and db connection listed.
    However, having said that I would still prefer using APPS JCA Adapter for APPS instance and DB adapter for databases.

  • Internet cuts out for 30 secs with powerline adapter PLSK400

    I recently just bought a powerline starter kit (PLSK 400) and I plugged one adapter into the router and into the electrical socket. (which is up stairs). I plugged in my other adapter downstairs in my room and it is hooked up to my PC and Playstation.
    The only problem is that my internet cuts out every 20 mins for about 30 secs. This gets annoying cause I play games a lot on my desktop. Any reason why this may be happening?

  • Issue with Apps adapter for Create_Cust_Account API

    Hi ,

    But I’m getting the following error,
    An error occurred while running Jpublisher.missing method
    · I’ve tried with Database adapter. But in the runtime I’m not able to pass oracle apps initialization parameter in spite of using transaction and idempotent property in partnerlink.
    · Then I’ve tried to invoke fnd_global.apps_initialize first then call the package from database adapter, but it fails again, apparently its not able to execute both DBadapter in same database session although they are in same BPEL transaction.
    When I’m passing the initialization parameters in adapter created wrapper procedure then its working fine and customer got created.
    Please let me know where I’m going wrong or issue with apps adapter.
    It’s urgent …
    Thanks in Advance,
    Shreekanta

    Thanks for the reply.
    I'm able to execute the BPEL flows using DB adapter in same session and customer got created.
    But I'm wondering why I cant invoke the API using Apps adapter though its standard one.
    wsdl file is not getting generated as the adapter wizard not get completed.
    Do u have any idea why its giving ' error occurred while running Jpublisher.missing method' error?should I conclude that apps adapter does not support overloaded procedure.

  • How to use Database Adapter in BPEL

    I want to use Database Adapter in BPEL to transfer data from one table to other table and the data is still hold in the read table?
    I can find a example from http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28994/adptr_db.htm#BDCIGDCB.
    And the general design of my BPEL is as following:
    1. Add a "status" column to the read table. And alter the value of status column of all data in read table to "unreaded".
    2. Then create a empty BPEL (BPELAdapter) Project.
    3. Add a Database Adapter:
    (1) In step 1 of Adapter Configuration Wizard, configure the Service Name to datain.
    (2) In step 2, configure the database connection.
    (3) In step 3, choose "Poll for New or Changed Records in a Table".
    (4) Then click Import Tables button, and choose the read table.
    (5) In step 5, choose a column.
    (6) Don’t do anything in step 6 and 7.
    (7) In step 8, choose "Update a Field in the [Datain] Table (Logical Delete)".
    (8) In step 9, configure Logical Delete Field to STATUS, configure Read Value to readed and configure Unread Value to unreaded.
    (9) Don’t do anything in step 10 and 11.
    4. Add a receive activity to connect to above database adapter.
    5. Add another Database Adapter. Then configure this database adapter service WSDL:
    (1) In step 1 of Adapter Configuration Wizard, configure the Service Name to dataout.
    (2) In step 2, configure the database connection.
    (3) In step 3, choose Perform an Operation on a Table (and all items under it).
    (4) Then click Import Tables button, and choose the write table.
    (5) In step 5, choose a column.
    (6) Don’t do anything in step 6, 7 and 8.
    6. Add a invoke activity to connect to above database adapter.
    7. Add a assign activity between the receive activity and invoke activity. And configure the assign copy operation.
    But after I deploy this BPEL project to the BPEL server and invoke this project, I get following error. Meanwhile, this BPEL don't take effect.
    The following exception occured while processing this request:
    Can't find partnerLinkType 2.

    How to resolve?
    Thanks,
    Melody

    Now, I can insert data into the table through Database Adapter.
    But still can't select data from the table through Database Adapter.
    Above error still happen when invoke the read database table with Database Adapter project:
