Internet Explorer keeps braking in when I don't want them. Very irritating. What can I do to stop this brake in?
I am not any web site, but on line, and suddenly Internet Explorer pops up with a different advertisement every time. Then they say page can not be connected. This happens quite frequently when I am not doing anything on the computer. It gets very irritating when I am working on a document to just print out and not email. Then when I am quietly listening to music, another Internet Explorer ad pops up with a talking video. What can I do to eliminate Internet Explorer?....Thanks.....Terry

That's a very good question! It's important to be on the network you want to be on. How are you turning the wi-fi off? If you go into your settings there should be a wi-fi switch as the second option from the top. If we turn it off there it shouldn't come back on until you tell it to. If you select that and press the menu button (3 dots in the top right corner) you can also turn off "Allow wi-fi scanning" which can help not get notified of them when wi-fi is off.

This can sometimes be the result of a faulty/damaaged USB sync cable. Do you have another cable you could test it out with?

If you mean iMessage then go into Messages in the Settings app. The feature is Read Receipts.

I have to agree. I've been using iTunes/iPods exclusively for listening to podcasts since 2008, and within the past year it's just gotten increasingly frustrating and confusing to use both iTunes and my iPod for this purpose. I just found this thread because my iPod auto-deleted a podcast that I'd only listened to for 10 minutes; and I don't want it to ever delete podcasts without my consent. Truly infuriating.

Mighty mouse annoyance - brings up contextual menus when I don't want them
This is a mighty annoyance. For some reason my almighty mouse has decided that every time I click, it's going to present me with a contextual menu which I don't want to see.
How can I stop this from happening?You disable the right-click option by going to System Preferences, clicking on Mouse, and adjusting the appropriate settings. Then just use Control-click to bring up the contexual menu when you need it.

I understand that if I go to "File" and then to "Import" I should be able to somehow get all my previous files that where with the Internet Explorer browser relocated to the Mazilla browser...but I don't know how to do that. Give me detailed help please.
It did merge them after a fashion, glad I took a backup first even if I did only perhaps create 3 or 4 bookmarks today. So if I have bookmark separators, it's going to figure out which group to put them in (no way). Anyway I thought they would just go down to the bottom of the bookmarks menu like the other method, like when I export and import bookmarks in Firefox where they do go to the end of the Bookmarks Menu folder and would simply delete one folder.
Anyway this would not be typical because I don't want any bookmarks from IE. -

ThanksI would first try unplugging All the USB devices plugged into your computer, and then plug back in just the iPhone and see if that is recognized. Also, do you have the latest version of iTunes for Windows installed on your PC, as you need to?
