Interpret ansi colors in java

Hello there,
I'm working on a client in java. The raw incoming text has all kinds of characters indicating the colors and other attributes of the text (ansi)
like..
[1;37m Yadda yadda [0m
etc...
Does anyone know if there's a pane or a class in java that interprets this and displays the text correctly in the right color?
Thanks in advance,
Dyte

  • Ansi colors in messages log pane?

I use the build system Ant on a project instead of the built-in JDeveloper compilation. Ant displays its content on the "Messages" log pane in JDeveloper.
Now Ant has the nifty feature to display messages using Ansi colors (http://ant.apache.org/manual/listeners.html#AnsiColorLogger) which are escape sequences. The messages log pane doesn't interpret them (just displays the escape sequences) and only displays black and white.
Will a future version of JDeveloper be able to interpret Ansi color sequences and change colors accordingly?

    Hi matttgn,
One reason why dockable windows (this is the term we usually use to refer generically to these GUI components) sometimes disappear unexpectedly is because of layouts. Editors are associated with particular layouts, and when you switch between editors that have a different layout, sometimes dockable windows get reconfigured to fit the new layout.
Do you happen to notice whether the text in the bottom right hand corner of the main SQL Developer window (it normally says, "Editing" after startup) is changing when you see the log window disappear? I believe SQL Developer might have a separate layout for Debugging that it inherits from JDeveloper. If so, then the problem might be that the log window is hidden in the Debugging layout but not in the Editing layout (or something of this nature).
FWIW, you can switch layouts manually using the woefully obscure context menu hidden on a right click over the status bar item that says "Editing".
    Thanks,
    Brian

    Hi
I saw your issue and found one think that "String index out of range", can you please compare the columns datatype and column size with target table and ODI table.
    ODI Table:
After Reverse Engine, CSV changed into table format can you please open the table from designer>model>csv table and goto columns tab, it will list out the all column name datatype and size. compare the column size and type with your target table.
hope this will resolve your issue.

Has anyone figured out a way to customize the ANSI colors in the Leopard Terminal? The TCColorArray plist setting seems to be ignored.
I've even gone so far as to copy the Terminal.app from Tiger onto Leopard. Still no go, even Tiger's terminal is ignoring TCColorArray when running on Leopard (which I find very strange).
Could this be a termcap issue?

The following will rid your Terminal of blue directory listings:
    1. Add the following to ~/.profile :
    alias ls='/bin/ls -G'
    export LSCOLORS=exfxcxdxbxegedabagacad
    2. Change the color(s) displayed by `ls` considering the following:
For each pair of characters in the string 'exfxcxdxbxegedabagacad', the first character in the pair represents the foreground color, the second character in the pair represents the background color. Changing the character changes the color; see the following chart:
    a black
    b red
    c green
    d brown
    e blue
    f magenta
    g cyan
    h light grey
A bold black, usually shows up as dark grey
    B bold red
    C bold green
D bold brown, usually shows up as yellow
    E bold blue
    F bold magenta
    G bold cyan
H bold light grey; looks like bright white
    x default foreground or background
Each character pair in the string 'exfxcxdxbxegedabagacad' represents a type of file displayed by `ls`. The breakdown of character pairs follows:
    Pair 1 (ex) - directories
Pair 2 (fx) - symbolic links
    Pair 3 (cx) - sockets
    Pair 4 (dx) - pipes
Pair 5 (bx) - executable files
Pair 6 (eg) - block special
Pair 7 (ed) - character special
Pair 8 (ab) - executable with setuid bit set
Pair 9 (ag) - executable with setgid bit set
Pair 10 (ac) - directory writable to others, with sticky bit
Pair 11 (ad) - directory writable to others, without sticky bit
So, following this through to conclusion, the following is the list of default color pairs:
    ex - blue/default - directories
    fx - magenta/default - symbolic links
    cx - green/default - sockets
    dx - brown/default - pipes
    bx - red/default - executable files
    eg - blue/cyan - block special
    ed - blue/brown - character special
ab - black/red - executable with setuid bit set
ag - black/cyan - executable with setgid bit set
ac - black/green - directory writable to others, with sticky bit
ad - black/brown - directory writable to others, without sticky bit
Finally, to change the listing of directories from blue to cyan, change the first character pair (ex) to (gx) in .profile :
    export LSCOLORS=gxfxcxdxbxegedabagacad
    3. To have the color change take effect, quit and restart Terminal, or run the following command:
    . ~/.profile

  • Leopard Terminal - No ANSI Colors at all?

I've done a lot of searching on Terminal colors in Leopard (updated to latest.) I keep coming across fixes to change your colors, but my issue is that my Terminal doesn't display any ANSI colors at all. The terminal configuration works fine, but colors for everything (folders, executables, etc.) are always the same.
I've tried changing a number of setting, installing the TerminalColors SIMBL plugin, and anything else I could think of, but my color scheme is always monotone.
    infocmp's first few lines:
    # Reconstructed via infocmp from file: /usr/share/terminfo/78/xterm-color
    xterm-color|nxterm|generic color xterm,
    am, km, mir, msgr, xenl,
    colors#8, cols#80, it#8, lines#24, ncv@, pairs#64,
Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!

    Figured it out.
    "ls -G" does it (duh)
Don't remember doing this in Tiger, but perhaps I did.
    Added
    alias ls="ls -G"
    to ~/.profile
    to make this automatic.

  • Parsing ANSI color codes from strings

    Hello,
I'm putting together a telnet app/applet and the next big milestone
on my list is putting in ANSI color support (or at least automatically
removing it). However, I've been having trouble figuring out a way to
    read the codes.
For anyone that doesn't know, this is an example of an ANSI code: \033
    [30m where "30" can be a number from 0 to 49.
I've tried using a regexp to find the codes, but with my limited regexp
knowledge, nothing has seemed to work so far. Can anyone help me out
    with this?
    Thanks.

         String test = "one\033[40mtwo\033[38mbloggle";
         System.out.println( test.replaceAll( "\\033\\[\\d\\dm", "[test]" ) );?

Is it possible using java code to change a input field color.
    Please help me.
    Thanks

    Hi,
declare a error message in message pool and declare a method say "checkCostCenters " and in this method, u can check whether it is a valid cost center .. if it is invalid cost center , then throw the erro message using the below code :
    wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportContextAttributeMessage(
                        inputfieldattibutePointer, IMessageProgramPlanComp.ur error message,
                        new Object[] );
for getting pointer and label use the below code:

                        .getAttributePointer(URNODEELEMENT.ATTRIBUTENAME);
              String inputfieldLabel = wdContext.nodeURVALUENODE.getNodeInfo()

  • How can i change backgroud color in Java ME Platform SDK 3?

    Hello.
Yesterday i had donwloaded Java ME Platform SDK 3.0. It is IDE based on NetBeans core, but i didn't find any facility to change default colors. (NetBeans have option to change color theme). I am don't like working when background color is white, i prefer black. So, how change a background color? Can anybody help me to figure this problem out?
p.s. sorry for my bad english (

    Hello,
Unfortunately it is not possible. We will think about it for next release. Java ME SDK is not supposed to offer full IDE functionality (e.g. changing editor colors), that's why some features are missing. For full IDE support use NetBeans IDE with Mobility support.

  • Photoshop interpreting monitor colors incorrectly

My issue is with my second monitor and the colors of  Photoshop files.  I am using a two monitor setup with my macbook laptop.
I process a Raw file using Lightroom 2.  I export a Jpeg and it  looks perfect when I open it in Preview, matching the Lightroom, when viewed on the second monitor screen.  But, when I open that file in Photoshop it looks about 15% desaturated, when viewed on the same 2nd monitor.
The really wierd kicker is that as I drag the photo from the Macbook screen to the second monitor screen, while in photoshop, it looks fine.  It only desaturates as I ungrab it (or unclick it if you prefer).  I am speculating that photoshop is interpreting the monitor profile incorrectly or something.....  any help out there?

So, I figured out a work around with the help of my friend.  He stated that Photoshop can only work with one monitor profile.  So I moved the arrangement of my displays so that the external display is the main one.  Now PHotoshop looks just like Lightroom.
My new question is... Is there a way to have photoshop read my external display without having it be the main display in the systems preferences?
    Thanks

  • System colors in Java

I am working in a Java Swing Project. Here I have to set some System colors like Window Background, Button Face etc to the controls. I also need the way to set the color to be Transparent.
    Plz help me soon.
    Anila.

    Take a look at UIManager.
You can write yourself a little loop to dump out all of the system defaults which are accessible via UIManager.get*() and adjustable via UIManager.put().
If you want to adjust individual components then use their set() methods.
