Parsing ANSI color codes from strings

Hello,
I'm putting together a telnet app/applet and the next big milestone
on my list is putting in ANSI color support (or at least automatically
removing it). However, I've been having trouble figuring out a way to
read the codes.
For anyone that doesn't know, this is an example of an ANSI code: \033
[30m where "30" can be a number from 0 to 49.
I've tried using a regexp to find the codes, but with my limited regexp
knowledge, nothing has seemed to work so far. Can anyone help me out
with this?
Thanks.

     String test = "one\033[40mtwo\033[38mbloggle";
     System.out.println( test.replaceAll( "\\033\\[\\d\\dm", "[test]" ) );?

    Looks like something have been broken in 1.2... :-(
    Of course, the tested scripts compile without problem.
    If I put only my simple built-in script in the Test.fx file, it works... I can put an empty Stage in the script (it is displayed), but if I add an empty Scene to it, I have the same error.

  • Getting Color object from String

    hi
    i need to get a Color object from a string provided at runtime.ie for the string "RED" i need to get a object of Color.RED.I have already tried to use decode() from Color class but it throws numberformat exception,can someone guide me.

    Color.decode(String) will decode octal and hexidecimal representations of colors e.g.
    Color poo = Color.decode("0x215DB8"); // hex description of color
    works.
    If you want to use RED, BLUE ... read them at run into a String or whatever and then test this String to get what color the user wanted e.g.
    read from text file at run time that button colour should be ORANGE.
    In your code, put
    String colourStr; // read what colour the user specified into this var
    Color their_color = null;
    if(colour.equals("ORANGE"))
    their_color = new Color(Color.orange);
    else if(colour.equals("BLACK"))
    // you can guess what goes here.. and so on.
    It often nice to make them specify the hex value of the colour because there are more of these than the predefined colours (shock horror).
    Anyway,
    seeya, Edd.

  • Is there a way to determine the equivalent ANSI C code from a Labview project?

    I'm a complete beginner to Labview.  I have this fairly complex Labview project that was used to create a DLL which matlab could call to control my PCI-6534 card without having to know the NIDAQmx calls.
    I'm in the process of figuring out how to make those NIDAQmx calls directly from Matlab but I'm not getting the same results as when I call this DLL mentioned above so I thought I'd try to make sense of the Labview project VIs.  I'm starting to make sense of the overall scheme of the VIs, but I'd like to be able to run the project, step through it, and perhaps see the NIDAQmx commands (or something equivalent so I can determine how to call the NIDAQmx commands within Matlab).
    Is this possible to do?
    Thanks,
    Jason
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Yes. The toolbar allows you to turn on highlighting so you can run the VI and see the contents of wires. You can put probes on wires. You can single-step through code. All of this is explained in the LabVIEW Help under Fundamantals -> Running and DEbugging VIs -> Concepts -> Debugging Techniques.
    In regards to the implied question in the title of your post, no you cannot directly convert LabVIEW code to C in the development environment. Yes, there are tools to convert LabVIEW to C, but that's intended for microprocessors.

  • Why won't the color code I am trying to use from a windows machine work on my Mac? Code: PMS7409

    Hi I'm an intern at a telecommunications and management company who are about to release an update on their website and server screens. My job is to create the new graphics and remake the presentation layers. I am also assigned to create a business card template, which is where my question comes. I am give a color code, from a Windows OS, and try to input that code into Photoshop CS6. That color code won't appear. It's a deep orange and the code I am being told is; PMS7409. I'm not sure thats a code (atleast on the Mac), but I haven't used a Windows OS in so long I don't even know if Windows has their own color coding system or what. Can someone help me out and tell me if this is me, my boss, or we're missing something and I'm going to look like an idiot?

    Definitely not a colour code for mac, the only thing I suggest you do is if you get the code on your windows version is to get the other values i.e
    instead and input those into it rather than the #colour code (Hue, Sat, B, R, G B) etc.
    Also ... Colour codes are 6 figures long i.e the one displayed and also black #000000 and white #ffffff
    however the one you gave is 7!

  • Iframe content disappear if script loaded from string

    I've got strange behaviour of FireFox 3.6-14 (have no 3.0 for now) with whis sample of code
    http://pastebin.com/CzzfB709
    Short explanation: if we create SCRIPT element and push script text from string and at the same time this script (that comes from string) create IFRAME, then iframe content is reloaded after script finished;
    In sample code you can see that we have `scriptText` variable that contains JS code. Then we create SCRIPT tag and put string code there.
    What you see: till you not close alert windows, you see text in iframe, but when you close it, iframe became blank.
    I also have an example of the same code from string if it pasted directly into HTML. Everything seems fine there.
    http://pastebin.com/4JcajiDQ
    I ask if anyone can just explain me, why is it hapend.

    As I think, this is some kind of a problem inside FireFox. So I just didn't know where to post it. Usually I'll prefer developer discussion group or maillist but I could not find such for FireFox. If you shure that mozillaZine is a best place for it than I'll wait. But I'm not shure whether it is still active community based on it's main page.

  • How to save data acquired from NI-DAQ in text format instead of TDMS using the DAQ-mx ANSI C code?

    Hi,
    I wanted to save data acquired from NI-DAQ (for example, NI 9234) in a file using the DAQ-mx ANSI C Code. The response I got was as follows:-
    One way to do it is with TDMS logging. DAQmx comes with functions designed to log to a TDMS file. This is a special file type that is used for collecting data in a logical format. It can be displayed in a TDMS viewer where data is separated into groups and channels. NI-DAQmx provides examples for how to log to TDMS. Look at the TDMS examples in the C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\NI-DAQ\Examples\DAQmx ANSI C\Analog In\Measure Voltage directory.
    However, now I want to know is there a way that using that same C code, can we save the data in a .txt file format (Text File) instead of a TDMS file? We actually want to access that file through MATLAB (that's why we want to save it in text format).
    Also on an other note, is there a way we can access & open TDMS files by MATLAB?
    Thanks,
    Sauvik Das Gupta

    There's a way you can access TDMS files in MATLAB:

  • Constructing a linear color gradient from a string

    I am using the following string value for a linear color gardient.
    String value = "from 0% 0% to 100% 0%, white, yellow, black 60%, red, green";
    LinearGradient lg2 = LinearGradient.valueOf(value);I am expecting it to use the following list of color-stops:
    white 0%, yellow 30%, black 60%, red 80%, green 100%However, I am getting the following at runtime:
    white 0%, yellow 25%, black 50%, red 75%, green 100%It is not placing the yellow color in the middle of 0% and 60%, and at the same time, it is modifying the "black 60%" to "black 50%".
    It seems to be a bug. I tried to debug the com.sun.javafx.scene.paint.GradientUtils class. It seems that the second last for loop in "public Stop[] parseStops(boolean proportional, double length)" method is the culprit.
    Can someone guide me in the right directtion as whther to take it as a bug or it should be interpreted differently?
    Thanks
    Kishori
    Edited by: user6588303 on Oct 15, 2012 2:56 PM

    Thanks for your response. Yes. I have tried specifying positions for all color-stops and the runtime will use them correctly. The problem occurs only when you leave the positions for some and not others.
