Intersection-shuttle not working
Hi,
I am using JHeadStart 10.1.3. i displayed detail records in sub tab of parent form page as intersection-shuttle.
Shuttle is displaying results correctly. But after moving some results fom left to right and clicking on Save button, i am getting "No changes to Save" message instead of saving the results.
Please any one help me on this?

I have the same issue after following the intersection-shuttle example in the JHS developers guide.
I downloaded the hr demo application, but only found a parent-intersection example. not necessarily helpful for an intersection-shuttle.
I would like to try and restart this thread. Any one out there have ideas.
It seems as if the underlying VO does not know it has been modified. This is the case for adding rows or removing rows from the list.

Work around for iTunes not working with shuttle
Well, I have found a work around for the iTunes not working the the Shuttle. It is not pretty, and many of you may not choose to follow my lead. This procedure has a lot of dumb steps in it, but in the end, one can copy data/songs to a Shuttle.
It involves removing the current iTunes and replacing it with a version that also had a bug in it.( I told you it ain't pretty).
Procedure:
1. Go to this url: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/ipod_itunes/itunes802forwindows.html
2. Download the old 8.0 version of iTunes for Windows.
3. Remove the current iTunes from your computer. Note after you run the remove utility in Windows, you need to delete the iTune library that isn't removed.
4. Install iTunes 8.0
Here is where it gets dumb.
This version of iTunes has a bug with the USB interface, but there is an easy work around.
5. Make sure the Shuttle is not connected when you launch iTunes.
6. After iTunes comeup, attach the Shuttle.
7. iTunes should see your Shuttle.
8. Select the music you want to upload, and drag it to the Shuttle.
9. iTunes will just sit there, so you need to get its attention. To get its attention you must disconnect and reconnect one of your USB devices, just not the Shuttle. Some folks do their mouse, one used a USB drive, and another on used is GPS because he was working from a laptop and did not have a mouse.
10. In a few moments, iTunes will do its thing and copy your data to the Shuttle. You must do this routine for each copy, so if you develop a Play List, you only have to do step 9 once.
The getting the old copy of iTunes was my idea, but a gentleman from a year ago figured out the mouse step.
I am now a happy camper, my Shuttle is full of music again.
However, I hope Apple finds a fix for the 8.2 problem soon.
Take care all.I stand corrected on the name. By the time I figured out how to copy the songs I had a few other names in mind.
One of the first things I tried was the Reset utility. After the iTunes restore did not work, I went looking for something else. After using the utility, I connected the iPod and resynced. I had left the Autofill box checked. iTunes autofilled the iPod. I deleted those songs and tried to put a different play list in. It would not copy the songs, iTunes said there was no room even though the play list for the shuffle was empty. I looked at the settings screen and it said the iPod was full. I synced the iPod to my Mac, and that got rid of the "full" indication. That is when I started looking for an older version of iTunes, unfortunately all I could find is a version with the USB bug. -

parent Provence we use for Parent child attribute but Province is normal attribute

According to your description, you want to use the INTERSECT() function for different hierarchy members. Right?
In MDX, when using INTERSECT() function, the two sets must have same dimensionality. Which means the two set of members must be under same hierarchy, otherwise they will be not comparable to SSAS so that it can't return the intersect part
of members. This is the limitation of INTERSECT() function.

My ipad 3 camera is not working; the shuttle doesn't open - any ideas on how to resolve this problem?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

when i bought newly TV in shuttle center was working. One weak before it works for around 30 mins afterwards hung. Now while opening TV from shuttle center is not working. Did anyone faced the same problem. Please tell me what might be the problem.

I have implemented an intersection-shuttle with JHS following the Oracle JHeadstart 10g for ADF Release 10.1.3. It works fine, but when I try to delete a selected row, it disappears of the list but not of the database.
Any suggestions?Am I right that you want to delete a row in the intersection table, by shuttling it from the selected list to the unselected list and clicking Save?
Enable the ADF Business Component Diagnostics (see http://download.oracle.com/docs/html/B25947_01/bcquerying005.htm#CHDBBEEB), and check which update/delete commands are sent to the database. Maybe that helps to identify what happens.

SPRY menu bar not working in IE 9
Hey! I recently just finished building my very first website using Dreamweaver CS5.5! It looks really great and works perfectly in firefox and safari however the SPRY menu bar does not work in IE 8 or 9. Does anyone know what i can do to fix this without messing up how the website looks in firefox and safari?

Web Cam applet is not working in great consistency
Hi... My video capturing applet is not working very well.
The image stream is displayed on the web page in JPEG format with 0.5 quality. However, it crashes after a while and the it does not release the vfw resource.
I have to restart my machine in order to execute it again.
Can anyone please help?

I have two reports: Lead History(registered reciepents) and Campaign Reciepents History(email click-thru reciepents) with columns Full Name, Company/Account Name, and Job Title. I want to do a join that pull out the click-thru's that registered. Union and Union All gives me everything, Minus gives me just the click-thru's, and Intersect gives me nothing. What complicated join can I do to make this possible?

First, you are right - I am using the 17" MacBook Pro (but not the ltest version).
Second, I looked in the Library folders and found Sidetrack in the Startup items. I deleted it (although I had already removed it from the Startup items in the System Preferences.
Third, I reset the PRAM.
However the 2-finger scrolling is still not working. I did notice (and I don't know if this is something new) that the cursor is now immobile when trying to use two fingers although it is fine with one finger. It as though the trackpad recognizes that two fingers are different from one, but it doesn't know what to do with two-fingers.
On a more general note, thank you all for your interest and quick responses. But...what should I try next? Apple suggests resetting the Power Management. -

I want one solution, i have done some enhancement in my application in which if we click on radio button(Yes) the corresponding fields(select list,shuttle fields will be shown) or else it will be hidden. My problem here is this works fine in IE but it does not work with Mozilla Firefox, can anybody please help me to sort my problem.

VBA code not working in SEM-BPS 3.2
We are currently running on BW 3.1 and SEM-BPS 3.2 environment. I am trying to create a screen in excel with VBA code doing validation on user input. For some reason the code works perfectly fine in standalone Excel. But when it comes to BPS, the code does not work. Is there any setting to invoke the code? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

why Jdeveloper 10g ea not work?I'm not able to reproduce it exactly. It seems to depend on either what I was doing beforehand or what I have open at the same time.
I was able to make it happen on demand awhile ago, but I've closed and restarted the environment since then.
The best I can remember, I had been going up the dialog, starting at the bottom. I was looking for where to enter the location of SQL*Plus. I didn't expect to see it in accelerators, but I was just curious what was in there when...boom. I might have finished one pass thru most of the tree, then started on a second pass when I encountered the problem. Best guess at this point on how to reproduce would be to simulate a user persistently looking for a setting and just not stopping until he found it.

Intersection Shuttle and JhsTabbedChildrenTemplate compatibility

I am using the document titled "Building J2EE Applications with Oracle JHeadstart for ADF".
I am interested in the section "Step 5: Customize Generation Templates" which illustrates using "JhsTabbedChildrenTemplates.jtp" template.
I have successfully used this template *** except *** when using the "intersection-shuttle".
So far, no mater what I do, the "intersection-shuttle" does *** not *** exclusively display on its own tab.
To be more explicit; I have 4 other tabs that are properly displayed, that is, they are mutually unique. When the "intersection-shuttle" is introduced into this existing structure, it shows up with each of the 4 other tabs.
What's up with this behavior and what can I do to get it to behave as expected? It's supposed to show up only on the Tab it is associated with.

The tabbed children templates are shipped as an example, and the sample only includes a tabbedTableGroup.jut to display children with layout style table on a tab.
To display a child group with a different layout on a tab, a separate .jut file is required. To get your shuttle displayed on a tab, you should:
- make a copy of shuttleChildGroup and name it something liked tabbedShuttleGroup
- add the "rendered" property to the <header> element in this template as follows:

I have been pulling my hair out trying to get the SET CREATEBLOCKONEQ command to work in my calc scripts. I have been to the Essbase Calculate Databases training class and it does not work like it did in the class. I even sent a code snippet to my instructor and it worked for him but not for me. See my example below:

Is there a database setting that needs to set to a certain value for this stuff to work?! This is driving me crazy and is causing me to create extravegant work arounds just to do what should be simple calculations according the all the documentation I have seen.

Quick question, that will invalidate all of the below -- are you absolutely sure that BegBalance is in a sparse dimension? That's (generally) pretty unusual. If BegBalance is in a Time/Period dimension that is dense, it would explain why your code doesn't work. You could flip the code to say:

Scenario is more likely (I don't know your db's layout, but this is common) to be sparse. If the above works, you can jump out of this post.
Failing success, however, read on.
More advice:
1) Copy your database to something you know can't be in production -- I like Bozo.Bozo, but to each his own.
2) Clear out the data from Bozo.Bozo.
3) Go into EAS and edit the properties of the Bozo.Bozo database. It should say that it has zero blocks.
4) Connect to Bozo (I am dropping the app name -- you get the idea) in Excel and navigate to your 61100011, 611055, Q3Forecast, Fy2010, and BegBalance intersection.
5) Type in a 1, and lock and send. Delete the 1 from the spreadsheet, and retrieve again to prove that the number went in.
6) Now go back into EAS and Bozo and Edit->Properties. You will see one block. There can only be one as you cleared out the db in step 2 and proved that there were zero blocks in step 3.
Okay, having established that indeed, you can create a block by assigning a data value, I would now look go see if 61100011->61055->Actual->FY2009->Dec has data in your real database. Can you pull it into a separate sheet (obviously not the Bozo connected sheet)?
If you can do that, connect your first sheet to your original db. Now lock and send the number 1 back to the db. Retrieve to make sure it works. If you were feeling feisty, you might do a before and after block count, but it may be difficult to tell what the real block count is as you may very well have been creating the block and didn't realize it.
Ignoring SET CREATEBLOCKONEQ, try your second code block. You're just proving that you can assign data. Does that work?
The only reason I can see CREATEBLOCKONEQ not working in your example is if in fact BegBalance is not sparse. It won't work on a dense dimension.
