Intersection Validation Report error

After clicking the Validate step to get the intersection validation report (Enable Intersection Validation) is turned on, I get the following error in a new window
"The XML page cannot be displayed Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later."
Any help would be appreciated

You can't open the XML directly from the outbox. The user ID that you are accessing the file with will likeyl not have access to the directory where the XSL file is stored. The XSL file is used to translate the XML file into a viewable format.
You can copy the XSL file into a directory where you do have access and modify the XML to look to that directory.
BTW, please open new threads for your questions.

  • Essbase Adapter - Intersection validation report

    Is it possible to enable an intersection validation report with the essbase adapter? Otherwise I dont see my errors until the export stage

    No, you will need to write a custom script to accomplish this.

  • Intersection Validation Report

    Hi everybody
    I'm trying to create Intersection Validation Report, but an error occurs (the usual XML/XSL issue seen in other threads).
    I think in my case this error is due to MS Office absence (because on another server with the same HFM and FDM applications and Office installation it works perfectly).
    My question: is it possible to generate Intersection Validation report without Excel? Through other templates for example...?
    Thanks in advance
    Francesco

    Which version of FDM are you using. In the current versions inersedtion validation reports are not created with Excel but in XML. In earlier versions this was an option in the integration settings so you could specify to use XML Intersection validation reports instead of those generated using the Excel engine.

  • Failover Cluster Validation Report Error with IBM USB Remote NDIS Network device

    We are setting up Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Failover Cluster on IBM X3850 X5 and get errors in the Failover cluster Validation Report due to the IBM USB Remote NDIS Network Device is using APIPA adresses and both servers are using same APIPA-adresse.
    How should I configure the Server and OS for the Failover cluster to be MS approved?
    IBM don't recommend that i disable the Network device, but it is a possible solution!?!

    What I did was use ipconfig /all to see the settings it is using and then when and set the ip setting on the NDIS driver to be that except I increment the last value by 1 for each node so that they do not have the same IP address.   I ran the
    cluster validation again and it came up clean and I have not experienced any issues yet.  It does give warnings about it being an Automatic Private IP Address and should not be used, which is ok because we are not going to use it anyways.

  • Intersection validation report currency

    Does anyone know how to /where to change the currency symbol that appears on the intersection validatuion report? Currently showing the pound symbol. I want to change it to show no symbol?

    Hello,
    The Bitish Pound sign was not 'written' into the software. It is based on the currency/browser settings.
    It has been suggested to have all currency symbols removed from the report during the validate fish.
    I would contact support to see where the progress of this is.
    Thank you,

  • Table Validation - Report errors without losing changes

    Hi all,
    I am experimenting with table validation based on Denes Kubicek's example at http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:41. I have had no problems getting this working,
    but I need to stop if loosing data when the validation rules are not met.
    If I have 10 rows in my table and the user updates 6 of these with valid new values and 1 with an invalid value then the submit button causes the error message to be shown as expected, but the page / table reverts back to the data from the databse and all the other changes are lost.
    How can I get the page to keep the entered values when the page is refreshed?
    Thanks,
    Martin

    Martin,
    You may need to replace the validation using JS. JS equivalent for Denes e.g.
    Put this in page HTML Header..
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function f_validate()
         var comm;
            var dept;
            var err ='';
         for (i=0;i < document.wwv_flow.f02.length;i++)
         comm = document.wwv_flow.f07.value;
         dept = document.wwv_flow.f08[i].value;
         if (comm > 2000 && dept == 20)
              err = err + 'Error at Row ' + i;
    if (err == '')
    doSubmit();
    else
    alert (err);
    document.wwv_flow.f07[0].focus();
    </script>
    Change the 'Submit' button target to URL and type javascript:f_validate(); as URL Target
    Cheers,
    Hari

  • FDM Intersection validation error

    Hi,
    When I try to load data to HFM thru FDM, I am getting 'MISSING VALUE' error during 'export' step. I have enabled selected 'Enable Intersection Validation' and this time I see error during 'validate' step.Intersection Validation report is generated during 'Validate' step and it shows dimension 'Data Value' and value as [MISSING _VALUE] for the same.
    I have given values for all the dimensions in HFM and all are coming perfectly.But I'm not able to figure out where the 'Data Value' is coming from.After 'Data Value', I see Amount which has the original data value specified in the data file.
    I have also checked 'FDM Web ServerName' which is set to 'local host'. Can any one suggest me if there is anything I'm missing.
    Thanks in advance

    hi what kind of MISSING VALUE error you guys got. can you please let me know in detail.
    as i am new to FDM. please help me in understanding. thanks for providing some knowledge on your valuable time.

  • Intersection Validation with Multiload files

    Hi,
    is it possible to run intersection validation rep with Multiload files?
    if not, any workaround? maybe scripting the process?
    Thanks

    The adaptor is specifically coded to not run the intersection validation report on multiload. You could attempt to modify the adaptor but I would caution you that if you make a modification that causes the application to not function properly, support will require you to import a clean/unedited adaptor.

  • CRVS2010 Beta - Error: No valid Report Source is available

    I am new to using crystal reports in .NET so any (un-jargoned) help is much welcomed and appreciated.
    I am implementing an web application on a Windows XP machine using VS2010 and have downloaded and installed the CR4VS2010 beta 2 and the CRforNET40_x86.  All installed OK with no errors.
    I have embedded a crystal report viewer into my web page and have populated a dataset (myDS) successfully from my SQL server connection earlier in the code.
    The report (stoppages.rpt) is an untyped report stored in a separate folder and has 2 datetime parameters to pass in.  When I run the web app it runs fine until the parameter boxes appear - I enter 2 valid date values into the parameter boxes when I hit OK I get an error - No valid report source is available.
    My code is shown below - I have searched other forums and it was suggested to put in the session.add part but the error occurs with or without this bit in...
    Please help - newbie and desparate! Thanks
    Dim myReportDocument = New CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument()
                myReportDocument.Load("C:\Reports\stoppages.rpt")
                myReportDocument.SetDataSource(myDS)
                Session.Add("Report", myReportDocument)
                crvThisReport.ReportSource = myReportDocument
    Subject modified as per the sticky post at the top of this forum; [Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 Beta - read before posting|Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 Beta - read before posting;
    Edited by: Ludek Uher on Oct 13, 2010 7:22 AM

    Hi Ludek,  I tried adding
    <startup useLegacyV2RuntimeActivationPolicy="true">
      <supportedRuntime version="v4.0"/>
    </startup>
    to the config file but it didnt resolve the problems.
    However I think I have found a work-around solution to setting the parameters programmatically rather than use the crystal report viewer pop-up boxes.  I am posting my code to help anyone else who might be experiencing the same problems:
    Dim myReportDocument = New CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument()
    myReportDocument.Load(Server.MapPath(strRptPath))
    myDS.WriteXml(Server.MapPath(strXMLPath), XmlWriteMode.WriteSchema)
    myReportDocument.SetDataSource(myDS)
    myReportDocument.Refresh()
    myReportDocument.SetParameterValue("DateFrom", #9/1/2010 6:35:00 AM#)
    myReportDocument.SetParameterValue("DateTo", #9/8/2010 6:35:00 PM#)
    crvThisReport.ReportSource = myReportDocument
    DateFrom and DateTo are the parameter names within my crystal report.
    It seems to be working fine, it stops the crystal report viewer from displaying the parameter pop-up box which stops the error occurring.  However, the error still occurs when you want to interact with the report in other ways, ie page navigation, group tree navigation.  It still allows me to print, export and zoom in and out, so I will have to disable some buttons and features until this error is resolved - the search continues!
    Thanks for all your help and advise.

  • FDM 11.1.2.3  intersection validation error

    Hello All,
    we have migrated from EPM 11.1.1.3 to EPM 11.1.2.3.
    in EPM 11.1.2.3 FDM,  when we import any flat file delimited by comma and then tried to validate it we are getting Intersection validation error
    same flat file can be validated successfully in old system EPM 11.1.1.3.
    any ideas, where do i start to troubleshoot this issue ?
    regards,
    -Dattatray Mate

    Hi -Dattatray Mate
    I think you are loading data to HFM
    your data value is empty in FDM
    Select  < entity currency> in FDM
    In FDM locations-> General -> DataValue  there you can select  < entity currency>
    and in CUSTOM 3 you have not set custom top members in HFM  i guess (Valid member combination to load data )
    please check these things

  • .xml validation report produces Overflow error

    Hi All,
    We have FDM 11.1.1.3 installed and trying to process the workflow.
    During the second step of the validation process (CHECKINTERSECTIONS action) the web client shows an automation error.
    After reading the error log it says:

    When proceeding the process the export step gives a no data access error but it does generate a file which loads fine (manually) into HFM.
    Does anyone have a clue? help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your quick response.
    I've imported the FM11x-G5-C adapter and re-ran the workflow.

    Anyone had any similar problem and found solution?
