"Invalid address, password or username" in Nokia M...
I'm trying to set up a secondary email on Nokia Messaging on my N97 mini. The first email set up without any problems but it seems that no matter how many times I try I get the "Invalid address, password or username" message everytime!
I've tried also setting up my email in my internet browser but I'm getting similar error messages there. The email address is a functioning Bluebottle account and currently also runs through my Microsoft Outlook without any problems - help!
Check your account on NM with a PC and make sure that if you make changes to your account on the N97 mini you're connected. Check with your SP if NM is supported over their network.
‡Thank you for hitting the Blue/Green Star button‡

Invalid address problem. How can i Fix this.
Hi, basically I am trying to send an email using the mail-service.xml config file from jboss. Below is the configuration for my mail-service.xml .
<server>
<!-- ==================================================================== -->
<!-- Mail Connection Factory -->
<!-- ==================================================================== -->
<mbean code="org.jboss.mail.MailService"
name="jboss:service=Mail">
<attribute name="JNDIName">java:/Mail</attribute>
<attribute name="User">[email protected]</attribute>
<attribute name="Password">password</attribute>
<attribute name="Configuration">
<!-- A test configuration -->
<configuration>
<!-- Change to your mail server prototocol -->
<property name="mail.store.protocol" value="pop3"/>
<property name="mail.transport.protocol" value="smtp"/>
<!-- Change to the user who will receive mail -->
<property name="mail.user" value="[email protected]"/>
<!-- Change to the mail server -->
<property name="mail.pop3.host" value="pop3.nosuchhost.nosuchdomain.com"/>
<!-- Change to the SMTP gateway server -->
<property name="mail.smtp.host" value="mail.daily.co.uk"/>
<!-- The mail server port -->
<property name="mail.smtp.port" value="587"/>
<!-- Change to the address mail will be from -->
<property name="mail.from" value="[email protected]"/>
<!-- Enable debugging output from the javamail classes -->
<property name="mail.debug" value="true"/>
</configuration>
</attribute>
<depends>jboss:service=Naming</depends>
</mbean>
</server>
The problem is as follows. Everytime I try to send an email, I get the following error:
15:59:59,392 INFO [STDOUT] 250 Reset OK
15:59:59,392 INFO [STDOUT] javax.mail.SendFailedException: Invalid Addresses;
nested exception is:
com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPAddressFailedException: 550 You must give your username and password to send mail through this service
I made sure that the email was in a valid format i.e [email protected] . Below is the code I am using to send the email:
String serviceName = "java:/Mail";
Session session = null;
try {
InitialContext initialContext = new InitialContext();
session = (Session) initialContext.lookup(serviceName);
} catch (NamingException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
Message msg = new MimeMessage(session);
InternetAddress[] addressTo = new InternetAddress[recipients.length];
for (int i = 0; i < recipients.length; i++) {
addressTo[i] = new InternetAddress(recipients);
msg.setRecipients(Message.RecipientType.TO, addressTo);
msg.setSubject(subject);
msg.setContent(message, "text/plain");
Transport.send(msg);
Can someone point me in the right direction at what I am doing wrong. Every configuration details should b read from that mail-service.xml file. Why is it throwing an invalid address then a username and password error ?
Many thankslooks like the problem was to add the the mail.smtp.auth and set the value to true in the mail-service.xml . The error logs just did not make any sense. Well fixed now!

When starting Mozilla Firefox 3.6, I get an error window which opens up additionally overtop my browser windows stating:
"Javascript Application"
followed with :
"Invalid username/password combination. If you continue to get this error, try entering your email address as your username."
Obviously it is happening with one of my email addresses/usernames & password combinations of which I know the username for (which I choose not to post here) and I'm not sure where to begin looking for a resolution to this problem.I was able to resolve this by disabling (under Tools - Add-ons) Yahoo! Mail Notifier
Hope this helps some of you also! -
Hi,on starting firefox which i have used solely as my browser for years i am now getting an error message from java script application that shows my username followed by a message saying; 'username'-Invalid username/password combination.If you keep getting this error,try entering your email address as your username'. I then press the OK button within that error message box and it dissapears and everything seems ok although hover my cursor over the mail(envelope) icon and it says not connected.
I only started having this problem since downloading firefox 4.It also does not tell me where this problem is occuring so i do not know where to log on with this information.I would be most grateful for any help with this matter.Many thanks.Take a look in the Error Console for details about that.
Tools > Error Console <br />
Right-click the message and use '''Copy''' to get that complete message. -
Every time I start up Firefox, I get the following:
JavaScript Application
"mfernandez1957" Invalid username/password combination. If you continue to get this error, try entering your email address as your username.
What do I do?
Another issue is hang ups, I mean every few seconds it hangs up and I get (Not Responding), which is frustrating when you're entering data or whatever and in the middle it freezes so then you have to go back and retype stuff that never got entered. It even hangs right out the gate, I get (Not Responding), I mean, before Firefox is even fully loaded, it hangs, it even hangs (though considerably less frequently) with all my plug ins currently disabled. So that's another issue.
If y'all can help, I would be grateful.hello, please try to [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems|reset firefox]] and see if this can address the issue...

When I try to update an App I am getting my old email address (which no longer works) and when I put in its password it says password or username is wrong. but it does not give me an option to put in my new user name. How can I correct this.
What you are getting is the AppleID (AppleID can be an email adress) used at the time of the purchase of this app. It is an identifiant allowing Apple to link your purchase to your account.
If you want to manage associated email, you can go at https://appleid.apple.com but the AppleID could never be modified.
I do not know if in your case, it is just that you no longer use your old email address or that you actually a 2 AppleID. In any case, you will have to remember the password related to the account used for your purchase. If you don't, just use the link above to try to retreive your password. -
Does Authenticated SMTP ensure that the sender email address
matches the username/password entered?
<P>
Not by default. However, in netscape.mail.conf, you can set
RewriteFromUsingAuth and/or RewriteSenderUsingAuth to "Yes"
which will rewrite the header "From:" and/or "Sender:" to be
the authenticated sender of the message.
<P>
On NT, the keys are in the registry under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Netscape\Messaging Server\3.0\Dispatch\ConfigI found the answer.
Apple has turned on an app-specific password for iPhoto and other Apple apps. It's located in the Apple ID management section under Passwords and Security.
As soon as I entered that new generated password in iPhoto I was able to send a pic with my iCloud.com email address.
Now I know where to go. Thanks for your help. -

"Invalid address" only when sending to multiple addresses
I can send an email to <username>@gmail.com and to <username>@mac.com, but if I try to send an email to both recipients at once, my mail server says "Invalid address" even though my colleague can send an email to those addresses without a problem.
Since my colleague can do it, it can't be the server; but I can't figure out the difference between my Mail configuration and his.
Any ideas?I found my own answer. I didn't have password authentication on for the outgoing server. Weird. I was able to send mail to individuals without a password, but couldn't send to multiple people.
It's working now. -
I have a MAC computer with Sync. Was set up under sync Beta. I have an Android phone synced to it that was synced using the pair this device function. It works perfectly. I just got a new Android Tablet and am trying to add it to my sync and it does not seem to have the pair my device function. It insists I log into my sync account. So I try it and it tells me invalid userid/password. I verify and it is the exact email address userid that shows as being my sync account on the MAC. I verify the password on the MAC and it tests out fine. Try the tablet again and invalid.. So I try to reset my password on the tablet and am told my email address/account name does not exist. I just verified it AND Synced my MAC using it!! I have my recovery Key but there is no place to input it into the tablet. There is no place on tablet to enter the link device codes. How can my account be valid and in use on two devices but invalid and nonexistant on the new one? And How do I get the New one to sync with other two?
Been a week and not a single sign of any help or support. Not what a good trend considering how long I have been using and recommending Firefox. Is this the support can look forward to in the future?ok.. I tried this three times and kept getting that access denied thing when I clicked post my questions. So now maybe I wont have to typ this a fifth time....

SSO + OBIEE + Impersonation :: Invalid user/password
I am running the following setup:
OBIEE
Oracle Business Intelligence Product Version 10.1.3.3.2 (Build 071217.1900)
Physical Presentation Catalog Path /apps/installs/OracleBIData/web/catalog/paint/root
Oracle BI Server Data Source AnalyticsWeb
Analytics WebApp
Turned off OC4J, and deployed Analytics.war file on its own Apache-Tomcat instance
The Tomcat instance listens on port 9090
Siteminder (SSO) / Proxy Tier
I am running an Apache Web Server instance protected by CA Siteminder's SSO policy
AWS is listening on port 80, and acting as a proxy to redirect requests for Analytics.
Example:
Tomcat Analytics: http://localhost:9090/analytics/
AWS: http://localhost:80/obiee/ ==> http://localhost:9090/analytics/
I am doing testing with the out of the box PAIN repository & set of dashboards. My goal is to:
1. Protect OBIEE behind SSO
2. Allow ANY SSO authenticated user to gain access to OBIEE Analytics
3. Remove OBIEE's own authentication / login screen
Effectively:
1. Browse to http://localhost/obiee/
2. Get redirected to SSO login landing page
3. Authenticate via SSO
4. Upon successful SSO authentication, get redirected to the default OBIEE dashboard
So far, so good. I followed the guide for SSO integration found here: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12096_01/books/AnyDeploy/AnyDeploySSO.html
I've added the necessary entries on my instanceconfig.xml ($ORACLEBIDATA_HOME/web/config/instanceconfig.xml) as follows
<Auth>

I've created an Impersonator user and impersonation alias on my credentialstore.xml file using:
cryptotools credstore -add -infile $ORACLEBIDATA_HOME/web/config/credentialstore.xml
Credential Alias: impersonation
Username: Impersonator
Password: ***********
Do you want to encrypt the password? y/n (y):
Passphrase for encryption: ***********
Do you want to write the passphrase to the xml? y/n (n):
File "<OracleBIData>/web/config/credentialstore.xml" exists. Do you want tooverwrite it? y/n (y):
I've also added the Impersonator user to the repository using BI Administrator. I opened the respository online and added Impersonator as a user, with the same password I defined when I user cryptotools. I included the Impersonator user on the same groups as the default Administrator (Administrators & XMLP_ADMIN) and subsequently checked my changes back into the server. After everything was done, I bounced presentation and BI servers through:
$run-sa.sh stop
$run-saw.sh stop
$run-sa.sh start
$run-saw.sh start
Presentation services starts up fine, BI server starts up fine as well. When I browse to the Apache Web Server site, I get redirected to SSO, I pass my credentials, and the wind up on the /saw.dll?Dashboard URI but I get the following message:
You are not currently logged in to the Oracle BI Server.
If you have already logged in, your connection might have timed out, or a communications or server error may have occurred.
Here are the relevant log entries from $ORACLEBIDATA_HOME/web/log
sawlog0.log -I replaced the actual username with <SSOUID>. <SSOUID> is the actual SSO header I need.
Oracle BI Presentation Services have started successfully.

I am at a total loss with this. If I am understanding the OBIEE stack correctly, this would seem to indicate:
a. The impersonation credentials on the credentialstore.xml file are not being decrypted correctly, or the password actually doesn't match. But I've triple checked this.
b. The impersonation alias is not being recognized by presentation services.
I would really appreciate any input here. If I've left out any relevant items, please ask questions and I'll try to be as thorough as possible.
Thanks in advance!

And here is the relevant entry from the NQQuery.log -which is enlightening if I should say:

thank u
PS: It could also be possible that the application server does not have the complete recipient information or not have nothing at all????? i will look into dat aswell.Hi WidPacket,
Thank you for your question.
If message flow is well for other users, we could make sure we have configured receive connector for application server, then we could make sure email address of application server was configured with correct format. If the application server has cache,
we could delete cache to check if the issue persist.
If the issue persist, we could contact third application server.
If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.
Best Regard,
Jim

"invalid address"--solution from Apple support that worked for me
I have been among the throng who have been frustrated for the past couple of days by not being able to get even free Apps and songs from the iTunes store,let alone purchase anything,since all attempts at downloading/purchasing or even updating Apps on the iPad are met with a message "invalid address" and a link to update billing info in the store. I have called AppleCare once, and have been in an email correspondence with an iTunes support rep since May 10. After assuring her that this was not a personal credit card problem, she started to work this with me as a system problem.
First she had me correct my billing info to include Zip+4 zip codes instead of the 5 digit zip code I had entered. She had me contact the issuer of my credit card to be sure they were using zip+4 (they were not). I corrected the address by phone with the credit card company and then corrected it in my iTunes billing account,but I still was not able to get anything from the store since all attempts were met with an "invalid address" message loop.
At that point I emailed the support rep back to report no joy with her zip code+4 fix.
I changed my city name to all caps, changed my payor source to none and was able to download a free song, so I knew progress was possible,but still could not buy anything with a credit card or PayPal, both of which had had address corrections to the zip codes.
Then I got this email fix from Apple support:
"Please look over your address in the following link:
http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/
Then we will make sure that address matches in the Apple Store and iTunes. I'll walk you through this process to get you back up and running in no time.
1) Visit the My Apple ID website at:
http://appleid.apple.com
2) If the site is not displayed in your preferred language, click the Change Language link in the upper-right corner, type the name of your language in the field that appears, then click the Save button.
3) Click the "Manage your account" link.
4) Type your iTunes Store account name (which is your Apple ID) in the Apple ID field, type your password in the password field, then click the Sign In button.
5) Click "Addresses" in the column on the left. If you have multiple shipping addresses, remove any out-of-date or duplicate addresses by clicking Delete. Also, make sure the state or province field is filled out correctly for each address. To edit an address, click Edit. Edit all of your shipping addresses and make sure the appropriate state is selected in the State drop-down menus.
6) Now click "Phone Numbers" on the left. The area codes should be in the area code fields and the phone numbers should be in the phone number fields. If an area code is missing, or if it is in a phone number field, your account information may not save properly.
7) Make any other necessary corrections, then click the Save Changes button.
8) Click Log out in the upper-right corner.
When you make your next purchase on the iTunes Store, you will be asked to review your billing information. At this point, you can change your information or simply click Done at the bottom of the screen to proceed. Once you click Done, you should be able to purchase on the iTunes Store ..."
I followed this to the letter--my address was correct in the USPS zip4 site,although they use all caps for everything and I did not capitalize the street name.
When I logged into the Apple ID site I found they had 1 addresses,one perfectly correct per USPS and another with obvious errors in the street address.
I deleted the erroneous one,saved the correct one and logged out.
When I went back to the iTunes store I was able to purchase and download an App for my iPad using my original credit card.
So making sure my address matched the USPS database, then checking the address in the Apple ID site,then going back to the iTunes store worked for me.
YMMV--I am posting this because several people indicated they had not even had a (useful) reply from Apple support.

iOS 4.3.3I am having the same issue....Same address for years - same as USPS - I tried 5 times (3 macs and 2 iPhones) and now i have 5 CHARGES for 1.00 each on my credit card. I took the credit card info off so they don't charge me anymore. How can they charge me yet still not allow me to download free updates and say I have an invalid address? I'm sure I will spend weeks or months trying to get a credit out of these incompetent idiots.

41439 Login Error / Invalidation User password
Portal Login Error 41439:
I have Infrastructure and App Server (BI installation) on the same Win2K server. While trying to Login to Oracle10gAS Portal, I get following error.
WWV-41439 - You cannot login because there is no configuration information stored in the enabler configuration table.
Cause:
The default domain is not set in the Apache configuration. When this occurs, only the hostname is shown in the login link and the domain is not included.
Action:
Include the domain in the ServerName paramenter.
Where should this ServerName be modified? (Which file? in which OracleHome?)
Invalidation User Password:
On a different note, what should be the password of 'Invalidator' in 'Web Cache Settingst'? (I tried invalidator). For any change in config, currently it gives ORA-00017 error.
"Error in getting the Portal version INSTALL_ERROR : Could not obtain Portal version : ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied"
Any suggestion will be appreciated.
Thanks,
JayRegarding Invalidator password, it might be worth trying you OEM middle tier password (for ias_admin)

Upgrade WebDB 2.2 to Portal Fails with Invalid Sys password
I am upgrading from WebDB 2.2.0.0.5 all the way to the latest 3.0.9xx. My database is 8172. I am at the point where you run the 306 upgrade script. It makes it through renaming all the webdb objects to UPG_<OLD_NAME> but then fails with an invalid sys password error when starting winstall. The sys password is not invalid and the script even tests that it is valid before even starting. So, I am not sure what the problem is. I have tried this about a dozen times different ways and still the same error:

Does anyone have ANY ideas????We spend almost 6 months (on and off) to get a successful migration from webdb. After countless discussions with Oracle, because we though we where doing something wrong, Oracle advised us that forms do not migrate "well" and any migrated forms do not display as portals. We are not upgrading 300 components by hand. I do not know if this affects you like it did us but I thought you would like to know.
