Invalid code in the column and DUMP function

Hi all,
My DB is 11.1 and Character set is UTF8.
After ETL, I find some invalid characters appear in my tables, one of which is '�'. Since they are history data, I can't find the source data for them.
The only choice for me now seems to remove all of them for downstream systems. After issuing select dump(column,10) from mytable, I find that '�' is represented by
239，191，189.
So I guess whether I can dump the data, remove the bad string and then umdump the contents to get the good string. In a word, is there an inverse function for dump function?
Can anybody give me some advices, please? Thank you very much.

If you had Firefox save your Yahoo password, first try deleting that here:

The "signed out" message seems to be related to how Yahoo authenticates you. Some users have reported that disabling automatic proxy detection solves the problem, and it also resolves an issue of getting logged out every few minutes, if you have ever experienced that.
To make the change:

On the "Network" mini-tab, click the "Settings" button, then choose "No Proxy" and OK your way back out.

Filling in values based on the column and row headers

I have a question that seems simple, but I can't figure out how to do it and I've searched all over the forum to no avail.
I have one column that is width increasing by 3 in. increments (column A)
I have one row that is height increasing by 3 in. increments (row B)
I have one cell that is price (cell A1)
I have a formula to calculate price per sq. ft.: =CEILING(A3B2/144,1)A1. This gives me the whole sq. ft. number multiplied by the price per sq. ft. to give me a total price at that dimension (A3 is the width, B2 is the height, and A1 is the cell that contains the price per sq. ft.).
*Here is the problem*: When I try to cut and paste or fill the formula to the other cells, it doesn't calculate the formula as =CEILING(column A * Row B/144,1)*A1. Instead, it moves all of the values relative to the new cell that the formula is being pasted or filled to.
Is there a way to autofill the cells so that the formula continues to refer to the width column, the height row, and the price cell?

Aha! Apparently I didn't do enough research before I posted and I have since answered my own question. Here's how you do it. Look for "Distinguishing Absolute and Relative Cell References" and you should be able to find what you need. In my case, here is the formula I needed to have to make the copy and paste function do what I needed it to do: =CEILING($A3*B$2/144,1)*$A$. Hope that helps anyone who may have had the same problem I did.

When formatting your column to date/time, pick Date & time, and then pick the letter i in the circle to the right. Then scroll down and pick "No time"

How to track the Back and Forword functiona on a JFrame

We are Developing an Application with Java swings.In this we 've used some of the components and are JFrame,JPanel,SplitPane,JButtons and etc.
In this we've used JButton for the Back and forword function as we have with the I.E.
So the Problem is that
when I click Back Button I need to get the Previous JFrame Contents and for Forword I need to get next JFrame Contents the Function are same as back and Forword Functions of Internet Explorer.
I'tried with Undo() Package but I did not get the Required Output

1. Creat a top level container (ie window) with menus,
back/forward buttons etc. using whichever layout
manager is appropriate.
2. Create a panel, and add it to this window. Set the
panel to use card layout manager.
3. Display all output from your app in the panel, and
let the window's back/forward buttons call the
appropriate methods on the card layout manager.

But i had done the same thing i.e icreated a top level(using JFrame) for the buttons menus and etc.

created a panel andused cardlayout manager but my problem is taht when i add those conetents(called panel contents of the frame) as component and add it this panel then i am geeting thaierror stating

I am trying this. Take an object, move it some inches on the right while holding the option key, so I duplicate it.
Usually, I pressed on command+d to duplicate this action on and on (duplicate the object and moving it some inches away), but now it is not working.

It may be time for the list:
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file, and when it is not caused by issues with opening a file from external media. You may have tried/done some of them already; 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save current artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to at least 5 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you may find the folder here:

5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);

6) Uninstall (ticking the box to delete the preferences), run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Since iPLM failed to help try the following:
Starting over from scratch with new library
Start over with a new library and import the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from your original library as follows:
1. Open the library package like this.
2. Launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
3. Drag the subfolders of the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from the open iPhoto Library package into the open iPhoto window a few at a time.
This will create a new library with the same Events (but not necessarily the same Event names) as the original library but will not keep the metadata, albums, books slideshows and other projects.
Note: your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.

Suppose the column A has the true and when I click on button which also sets the value of the column as true I should dispaly warning that column a is already true.How can I achieve this.How to store the original value of the column and then check wirth the new value.

You dont have to store the value anywhere
You can do this from setMethod of EOImpl.java
eg:

Joker characters in the search and replace function

Hello everyone,
Just a quick question :
I was wondering what character can be used as a joker character in the search and replace function (I did a research in the site, but didn't find any thread)
To be clear, I have misspelled a word, for example «trouser».
I know I didn't make any mistake with the first and last letter, but sometimes I wrote it «tourser», «turoser»
(sorry if there is a weird meaning, i'm french, and for me it won't mean anything, so don't take it personally)
I would like to be able te replace all the versions of «trouser», even the good ones, using «t*****r» in the search and replace function.
I tried the «*» character, but it's not the jocker.
