Invalid Database Settings

Hi,
I am facing error:
Error opening database connection to:jdbc:plumtree:sqlserver://pdcdt158.patni.com:1433;DatabaseName=alidb,
exception:[plumtree][SQL Server JDBC Driver] Error establishing socket to host and port: pdcdt158.patni.com:1433,Reason:connection refused: connect at
com.plumtree.openkernel.dbutils.impl.DBConfigHelper.setPlumtreePooledData.
I have checked connecion. It is connected directly to SQL,but through Portal Config. Manager, while testing DB connection,it is giving above error.
Please let me know why it happens?
Thanks and Regards,
Deepali

Well Deepali,
In case:
1)you ran scripts fine
2)are able to ping the DB server from portal web nodes
3)have specified correct username, password
4)are able to open the database and query it using the username password (also preferrably the owner should be the user you specify to connect to DB and not dbo). try doing that from query analyser.
5) are specifying correct port.
6) no errors while installing the portal (check logs)
you should be able to have a successful connection.
make sure your DB server is indeed accessible from portal and the installation is done properly.

  • Getting an error message in B2B and it says Invalid Delimiter Settings.

    Hi,
We are in the process of integrating an outbound data flow using BPEL and B2B.. We have the bpel process deployed in the system which is integrated to the B2B via a partner link.
The payload from the Bpel process is coming into the B2B but the output edi file is not getting generated and we
are getting the error message when we run the Business Message Status reports/ Error Status Reports in B2B.
The correct Trading Partner Agreement is being hit and as well as the correct Business process and Document protocol and document revision are getting attached. It is also identifying the correct values for the Sender and Receiver from the Agreement.
But it is erroring out with the error message as Invalid Delimiter Settings... This is for the outbound edi transaction to the outside trading partner..
Could someone please help us with this issue as soon as possible.
    Regards
    sachin.

    Yes Ramesh,
The error is very implicitly ...you are right but from the setup perspective in b2b we have defined the below mentioned for the operational capability for the Trading Partner who is going to receive this edi document :
    Component Element Separator 0x7d
    Segment Delimiter 0x0a
    Element Delimiter 0x2a
    Subelement Delimiter 0x7d
But we are not able to understand why it is throwing invalid delimiter settings. I have provided the b2b.log as well mentioned below..

  • Path Problem: Can't Load Database Settings From  A File

<b>I am writing a swing application with the following functionality:</b><br>
    (1) There is a base class that supports things like changing the look and feel &ndash; this is done via a JDialog that loads all the installed lafs from which the user selects a choice.<br>
    (2) Enables the user to set/change the physical database properties &ndash; location, password usernames and the like. -<br>
The idea is that when the application starts up for the first time the user will be asked to provide the database settings and then they will be stored in a file and then every time the application starts the settings will be loaded from this file. This works out fine!!!!!!!!!<br>
    <br>
    <b>Now here is the problem:</b><br>
All the above is supported by an abstract class that extends JFrame (I&rsquo;ve put abstract after testing) - MySuperFrame. After testing, I packaged this class together with other utility classes into a jar file.<br>
So my application which inherits from MySuperFrame fails on start-up with an exception that the database settings file cannot be found &ndash; And I know that it is in the jar file.<br>
    +<br>
I think that my problem is the path and nothing but the path &ndash; or relative path.+<br>
    <br>
This is the structure of my project:<br>

Please give me advice on how to implement that?

Apologies for the bad formatting on the original posting. Here is the formmatted posting:
    Hi All,
I am writing a swing application with the following functionality:
    (1) There is a base class that supports things like changing the look and feel &ndash; this is done via a JDialog that loads all the installed lafs from which the user selects a choice.
    (2) Enables the user to set/change the physical database properties &ndash; location, password usernames and the like. -
The idea is that when the application starts up for the first time the user will be asked to provide the database settings and then they will be stored in a file and then every time the application starts the settings will be loaded from this file. This works out fine!!!!!!!!!
    Now here is the problem:
All the above is supported by an abstract class that extends JFrame (I&rsquo;ve put abstract after testing) - MySuperFrame. After testing, I packaged this class together with other utility classes into a jar file.
So my application which inherits from MySuperFrame fails on start-up with an exception that the database settings file cannot be found &ndash; And I know that it is in the jar file.
    +
I think that my problem is the path and nothing but the path &ndash; or relative path.+
This is the structure of my project:
There is the src and the bin directories and then there is an external folder (not a package inside these two folders) called files (this is where my database settings file is stored).
How do I solve this problem?

Please give me advice on how to implement that?

  • Why the err Invalid database Connection -CR 11 version in Visual studio 1.1

    Hai all,
I am new to using the Crystal report with Visual studio 2003.I am facing Invalid database connection problem. My objective is tyring to upgrade CR 8 to CR11 with VS 1.1 framework(VC++ in .NET 2003).All things like ODBC connection with MS SQL server 2005,generating report going fine with CR8 version  but invalid database connection error comes with CR11 version. The configuration details and Code snippet are below for your ref,
Upgrading CR8 to CR11 with VS .NET 2003.
Application framework - VS 1.1 framework
    CR                            - 11 Version
DB                            - MS SQL server 2005
    Connection                - ODBC
    DLL                          - CRPE32 DLL (Version11)
    Code snippet:
    CODBCDatabase * pDatabase = pApp->GetDatabase();
    BOOL bRes;
    bRes = ::PELogOnSQLServerWithPrivateInfo(_T("pdsodbc.DLL"), pDatabase->m_hdbc);
Note: pdsodbc dll not found in local and anywhere. But it supports CR 8 but not CR 11.So i downloaded and put it in appropriate place exe path\system32\system and tested.Used and tested p2sodbc dll also but "Invalid DataBase connection" err came.Followed some instruction like changing the Data source name,DSN path,re installing CR 11 version and all but same problem coming.
::PELogOnSQLServerWithPrivateInfo() declation is in the following link
    http://www.arcaretentores.com.br/FTP/Format/Report/ProgramF/SEAGAT~1/CRW/DEV/Help/HTML/12a_0708.htm
    Thanks in advance

    India.

    Thanks for your reply
The API i have given is not available in Crystal report 11.So i tried with the PELogonServer API of version 11.It also failed.
I am unable to understand the suggestions you gave to me 1) The Report Designer Component (RDC)
    2) The CR Assemblies for .NET.
Can you give any link that have related samples or articles to implement the above topics please?
    Thanks again,

  • Database settings in SQL server

    Hi,
Please provide SAP's recommendations for Database Settings when upgarding to BPC 7
1.Compatibility Level. Should it be (80) or (100)?
    Compatibility Level of 80 = SQL 2000
    Compatibility Level of 90 = SQL 2005
    Compatibility Level of 100 = SQL 2008
    2. Recovery Model (Simple or Full)
    Thanks.
    Raghu

    Hi Raghu,
    For 7.0
SQL Server 2000 is not supported
Compatibility Level of 90 = SQL 2005 if you are using SQL Server 2005
Compatibility Level of 100 = SQL 2008 if you are using SQL Server 2008
    Recovery Model
It is depending by the disaster recovery model which customer would like to implement.
If for the customer lossing data for last 24 hours is an accepted then you can use SINGLE
If for the customer the data lost can be in maximum X hours (X< 24)  then you have to use FULL.(and you have to implement
the backup maintenance plan according with this requirement).

  • Invalid input settings

I'm recording multiple tracks of drums going into an Alesis XT20. Out of that I'm digitally into bank B of a MOTU 2408 audio interface. That is going firewire into the pci-424e card and into my G5Quad. I'm also monitoring thru the 2408 via a small mixer. After recording 8tracks of drums, I go back to the head of the song with the tracks still in record mode. When I press play, I get the error message "invalid input settings 10021" After pressing enter, one of the tracks pops out of record and the tracks play. THEN when I press stop, the same message arises. ?????????? Very annoying to have to pop out of record mode on my Mackie Universal Control just to monitor tracks. I've got the clock source set to Adat bank B?????

Part of my setup is identical to what you describe.
    I've not seen that error
If you disarm recording on all tracks of the Alesis do you still get the warning?
Are you controlling the Alesis from inside Logic using MMC?
If so does disarming record in Logic stop the error.
I have always switch record arm off whenevre I playback, so if that is relevant I don't know.
    Peter
ps technically spaking, to be pedantic, the connection is MOTU AUdio wire, not Firewire. The pdi card keeps the firewire bus free.

  • Error 820D - Invalid database - truncated to 0 bytes

    Hi Forum.
I'm importing Mail into an account and every time I ran into the following error when the ofuser DB file size hit the 2gb.
    POA Log:
    10:05:37 F403 The database function 44 reported error [820D] on userq4f.db
    10:05:37 F403 Error: File size is too large [820D] User:$USER ($USER)
    GWcheck log:
    STRUCTURAL VERIFICATION of database /media/nss/$DIR/ofuser/userq4f.db
Error 42- Invalid database - truncated to 0 bytes
Suggestion- No direct recovery possible. Attempt to recover file from external backup.
If no backup exists, request explicit structural rebuild from Admin and the
database will be replaced by valid empty database, to allow re-create.
However, all data previously contained in the database will be lost!
It seems to me that there is a limitation somewhere but I don't get exact information where?
I found nothing about the 820D in the error code documentation...
Someone experienced this ever? Can someone explain that?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Unable to Retrieve Database Settings in MDM 7.1 Console

    Hi,
I have installed MDM7.1 on AIX and on DB2 successfully.
Installed MDM Console 7.1 on my desktop and as part of Post steps I am able to mount the DB but while I am setting Database settings getting the error "unable to Retrieve Database settings" in MDM7.1.
Can any one please suggest on the same
    Regards,
    Srinivas

    Hi Saini,
Thank you for your reply, I have gone through that thread. I have done all the settings required for MDM and DB2.
Only thing I havn't done is DB2 Client was not installed. Because our DB2 expert is saying that he has installed full DB2 installation and since DB2 and MDM are on the same box,
client software is not necessery. Is this correct..please advice.

  • CPO Oracle database settings

    Hi,
The CPO install guide mention to modify the Oracle database settings as follow:
"For the Oracle DB instance dedicated to TEO, use the following script to change the case-sensitive settings in the Oracle database. The user must have database administrative rights to execute this script.
After changing the settings, the user must reset the database server.
    Script
    ALTER SYSTEM SET NLS_COMP=LINGUISTIC scope=spfile;
    ALTER SYSTEM SET NLS_SORT=BINARY_CI scope=spfile; "
We are deploying TEO in an existing database containing other applications. Modifying the Database properties has indicated above may (still investigating) create issues with the other existing applications.
What is the impact of not applying the above changes to the database ?
    Thank you,
    JB

Julio suggested checking out these two bugs:
CSCtr89012 Oracle database is case sensitive
CSCts03785 Operations -> search is case sensitive in Oracle
He said it was close to the end of regression and was safer for them to ask for case insensitive settings.
The drawback to not having this would be some select type statements would not work or some things in tasks might not work...
ie. "task" would not match up with "Task"
I would suggest contacting Don Freeman and/or Julio Silveria for more information.

  • Invalid database schema for product hyperion reporting and analysis

I tried to re-configure the BI core service to a new database
But I get the message "invalid database schema for product hyperion reporting and analysis"
The database is a restore of a production backup on a different MSSQL2005 server.
I can not believe its really a sql schema matter.
    Does anyone know whats wrong?

You cannot restore a BI+ database from backup...It is somewehere in the doc. There a re lots of references to the old server and config in the BI+ tables and you d need to edit/remove some files on the file server too. There is a doc available to do that but its far from simple.
Best way is to export the content of your repository, configure a new DB and then reimport the content.
If you re really stuck, drop me an email and ill send you that doc. I think ive still got it.

  • Migration Asstt - how to transfer database + settings from old MBA to MBP?

    Hi all,
I just bought a new MacBook Pro and would like to transfer all my database + settings from the old MBA.
I used Migration Assistant and transferred all the database alright, but the settings were not.
I can see the folders like "Applications", "Movies", "Musics", etc under the new username, but I am not allowed to open them up.
What do I do to also transfer the settings & applications that I had in the old MBA to the new MBP?
What about items like Address Book & Calendar?
    Thank you!

  • Maps Remote Database settings for E71

I live in South Africa, and require the Maps Remote Database settings to sync my favourites with phone and vice versa.... Can anyone help please?

Remote Databas settings is used to integrate ACS with an oracle or sql database to generate reports in your environment.
If you are worried about the logs being generated it would be best to setup the removal and backup configuration and point your acs to either a ftp or nfs repostoring.

I am in the united states. Just purchased a nokia X2. Anytime I try to access the web it says invalid web settings. Any ideas?

Contact your ISP for gprs settings, when it arrives as sms, open it and see the list of configutation items recived then save it. Goto settings>configuration settings>default config setting and select the setting previously received then save. Scroll down to access point and choose the same one then press default in all apps.
    Hope it works for you

  • Invalid database schema for hyperion BI plus

    Hi,
I installed BIP v9.2.0 on a drive of a server. Due to backup procedures I had to uninstall BIp and reinstall it on another drive on the same server. When I go to configure the relational db I get an invalid database schema error.
I have come across this before but that was when the versions of BIP were different.
    Any ideas??
    Thanks,
