Invalid objects no longer show
In APEX 3.0, any invalid procedures, triggers, etc. would show up with a red mark when viewing the objects. After upgrading to 3.2, they no longer do that. Is this intentional behavior or is something broken? It was really nice for quickly identifying which of my procedures broke after altering objects...
Hi,
It's difficult to say - it could be a stylesheet issue. If you clear your browser's cache and Ctrl-F5 your page, perhaps?
Have a look for "InvalidProcedure.jpg" in here: [http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=267:41] - click on the image to make it full size. I've intentially made my GETPAGE procedure invalid by adding a "Blah" line - clicked compile and refreshed the Procedures list. The red bar definitely appears. This is on my OTN workspace - the Apex version is shown bottom-right.

Hi,
When i try to insert data in the database with the following query
con.Open();
cmd = new SqlCommand("insert into good(ID,Name) values('" + textBox1.Text + "','" + textBox2.Text + "')", con);
cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();
MessageBox.Show("Insert success");
con.Close();
its showing following error Invalid Object Name 'good'Use 3-part naming like: MyDatabase.dbo.good(ID,Name) .
Also consider using stored procedure for database INSERTs.

Invalid objects showed up after import
Hello,
I wanted to migrate a lot of databases to 1 database, where I created schemas for every database. I imported each database to new schema and now I have one database with 30 schemas. When I try to export (full export) database like user "system", export is clear without any warnings, but when I try to import this database to another database a lot of warnings showed up. Warnings like:
IMP-00061: Warning: Object type "SYSTEM". "Repco $ _OBJECT_NULL_VECTOR" already exists with a different identifier
IMP-00019: row was rejected because of an error ORACLE 1
IMP-00003: ORACLE error occurred 1
ORA-00001: the unique constraints violation (SYSMAN.MGMT_ARU_FAM_PRD_PK)
import was completed successfully with warnings. I try to recompile invalid objects which were created in this database, a lot of objects recompile ok but a few not

Export command:
exp system/system@db01 file=C:\ICP\db01.DMP log=C:\ICP\db01.LOG FULL=Y
Import commad:

Livetype no longer shows or renders backgrounds, textures or objects.
After updating to FCP 6.0.3 and Quicktime 7.4.5 Livetype no longer shows or renders backgrounds, textures or objects. Here's a blog of current discussions of the problem.
http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/73/855577
I also have a screenshot of the Livetype canvas with a previously saved project that had a texture in the timeline, but now it only shows artifacting. As you can see below. What's going on??Will Salley1 wrote:

Thanks for posting the link, very helpful, but I've got to disagree with your previous addition:
I have an identical issue so it's not an isolated incident.< </div>
Blackmagic is not mentioned in the OP. Weird hardware often expresses itself in weird artifacts. These are rarelyr the fault of the apple application, it's the hardware mfr that has failed (maybe because Apple has failed to get them the tools) to update their systems and make the updates available ot their users and for the suers to install them.

Invalid object error while migrating oracle forms 6i to APEX
Hi,
I have a form name abc.fmb and I did converted to xml and imported using application migration in APEX
With these I have nine PL/SQL libraries (PLL). converted it to PLD using rwconvertor and imported in APEX. Also, I have 4 tables i.e data base block in forms.
Now, when i m migrating forms to APEX it is giving an error message saying invalid objects and shows the table name and column name. But the column name that it shows is a text box in the form that is also a database item ...
eg:- addr is the block name in forms
item name dsp_name
error: invalid object
Please suggest.
Thanks,

I would like to backup my itunes to my external hard drive
I did all the steps up to "organize Liberary" which at this point I checked the box and the clicked"ok"
it then said "copying files failed. The file name was invalid or too long" "OK"
It will not let me consolidate the files so I can transfer to my external hard drive
what am I doing wrong - any suggestions?
thanks,Are you using consolidate files to bring in stray files to your main iTunes Media folder before backing up, or to copy the media folder to the external drive as part of backing up? If it is the latter then you are taking the wrong approach. See this user tip.
Run my script Unconsolidated on the library. It will show you the remaining unconsolidated files which might give a clue as to which files iTunes is having a problem with. You can consolidate selected files in batches (select, right-click) as opposed to trying to do everything in one go. Alternatively you could try moving the remaining unconsolidated files with ConsolidateByMoving as long as this step is a precursor to a backup..

Why do I get "Error 1 occured at Config Data Registry.vi(get data) invalid object 0" when starting my application created in LabVIEW 7.1? I am starting the application in a PXI rack running Windows XP. I have an executable written in LabVIEW 7.0 that runs without this error. After clicking the Continue button in the error, the application seems to continue happily.
Is there something I need to include when I make the executable?
I would like to understand and eliminate this start up error.
Thanks in advance.
BobNorthHi Bob,
I looked through the program and I figured out where the error is coming from, and potentially what is causing it. In a lot of the cases of the program you are searching a 1-D array for the name of the case, and if you don't find it then it skips the function and gives "Error 1 occurred at Config Data Registry.vi(CASENAME) invalid object 0". I attached a screenshot that shows what I mean. The Search 1-D Array.vi is returning a -1 which means it didn't find the case. The reason I believe this is happening is because the shift register for that array is not initialized. While the other cases "reset" and "register" interact with the array shift registers and most likely create the array you need, if the program defaults to the "get data" case then it will try to run that before registering and won't have an array to search. This would also explain why it only has this problem at first and seems to run just fine after that. To fix this you should either make an initial array and wire it into the shift register or make the "reset" case the default as opposed to the "get data" case.
Regards,
Peter W.

Hi All,
I am using select a query.
For eg.
select columns from a,b
where a.col1=b.col1
and a.col2=b.col2
and a.col3=b.col3
it throws "*ORA-08103: object no longer exists*" error for the first time.
But when i comment a join condition a.col2=b.col2 the query works fine.
When i run the same query again it throws "*ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kcbgtcr_12], [1]* "
Please give some suggestion to solve this problem.

Invalid objects in APEX Schemas after import.
Hi,
After importing the APEX_040100 user in the database I got several invalid objects that are causing APEX not to work.
I gave up to compile them. After using all kind of tricks such as compile one schema at a time or compile all of them using the utlprp.sql script
or using EXEC DBMS_DDL.alter_compile('PACKAGE', 'MY_SCHEMA', 'MY_PACKAGE');
or one object art a time using command sililar to:
ALTER PACKAGE my_package COMPILE;
ALTER PACKAGE my_package COMPILE BODY;
ALTER PROCEDURE my_procedure COMPILE;
ALTER FUNCTION my_function COMPILE;
ALTER TRIGGER my_trigger COMPILE;
ALTER VIEW my_view COMPILE;
I can't find any documentation to show how to recompile them properly.
So I am asking:
1. How can we recompile all objects in APEX?
2. How can we re-install APEX?
3. How can we revert to previous version if both have problems?
Thanks
Yannis

Hi,
After importing the APEX_040100 user in the database I got several invalid objects that are causing APEX not to work.Hi,
You mean you did export APEX_040100 schema from one database and import it to another database?
There is also public synonyms and if I recall correct some objects are in SYS schema that belongs to Apex and are needed.

Invalid object name for Next value from sequence using sqlserver 2012
Select SequenceName.nextVal into lint from dual ;
Invalid object name error message is coming when using sqlserver 2012
Please helpHello,
Create the sequence and a stored procedure which returns the sequence as follows:
CREATE SEQUENCE mySequence_tinyint AS tinyint
GO
CREATE PROCEDURE Central_CreateSequence
@NextID BIGINT OUTPUT
AS
BEGIN
SET NOCOUNT ON;
SELECT @NextID = NEXT VALUE FOR mySequence_tinyint;
END
GO
In PowerBuilder, run this script:
long ll = -10
DECLARE proc PROCEDURE FOR Central_CreateSequence @NextID = :ll OUTPUT;
EXECUTE proc;
FETCH proc INTO :ll;
CLOSE proc;
IF SQLCA.SQLcode <> 0 THEN
MessageBox("error", SQLCA.sqlerrtext)
END IF
MessageBox("", ll)
I know there can be other ways to return the next value of the sequence...

[WIN 7] "either invalid or too long" ?
I just received the trial dvd package I ordered from the adobe website.
As I try to install the full collection to a different partition than default, I get the following message:
"The folder location is either invalid or too long. Please select a different location."
I tried several partitions containing enough space for the installation, but still I get the error message.
The same thing happened for both installing to the root of the partitions, and to "g:\program files\adobe" etc.
I ran the setup as administrator (right click etc.) and I'm using windows 7 ultimate x64.
Any ideas so far? It's driving me nuts! Can't find anyone else sharing my problem on google or so.
Thanks in advance!
P.S. I attached a screenshot showing my drives (enough space) and the error message the installer has given.That screen shot is showing the installation going to c:/program files.
Worth noting here is that Win7 has not been officially released yet (though I'm using it on a test machine and everything seems fine) and that with a 64 bit operating system you must be very careful about where the programs are installed. That's why I recommend the default location since the installer will put the 64 bit portions in the correct program files folder.
You really should clean up that c drive anyway. All windows programs require a good deal of space for installation on that drive even if installing on a different partion and anything under 20% free is a problem waiting to happen.
