Invalidating the url of c:import

Hi,
We are using <c:import> and we intend to include files dynamically. This is working fine.
If we wrap the inside a container component and on an event we try grabbing this container and invalidating the same (using statemanager's restore view). Will this also refresh the <c:import> url ?
If there is any other way to include files dynamically (I have tried jsp: include) and where I can refresh the container component to refresh the page url of the dynamic include, please let me know.
Take care,
Manoj

Try using item URL property.
listItem.Url;
use it after
listItem.Update();

    Hi,
    Found the cause of the error:
    When the Data Definition was migrated from DEV to PROD using the ldt files, somehow it dropped the default territory which is 'United States'.
    Hence the path of the template xdo://AR.XXINV_REPRINT.en.US is throwing an error.
    The below query can be used to determine the value that should go in the bursting control file in the path:
    SELECT APPLICATION_SHORT_NAME||'.'||
    TEMPLATE_CODE||'.'||
    DEFAULT_LANGUAGE ||'.'||
    DEFAULT_TERRITORY
    FROM XDO_TEMPLATES_VL
    WHERE TEMPLATE_CODE like '%XXINV%REPRINT%'
    REUSULT:
    AR.XXINV_REPRINT.en.00
    Hence AR.XXINV_REPRINT.en.US should be replaced with AR.XXINV_REPRINT.en.00 in the bursting control file which will fix the issue.
    Thanks
    Yogi

  • Can't upload file to Sharepoint "The URL is invalid. It may refer to a nonexistent file or folder, or refer to a valid file or folder that is not in the current Web.

    Hello,
    I do database/SharePoint upgrades for SQL and or SharePoint or moving to new servers frequently.  In a nutshell, I backup the database (run the upgrade tools if necessary), load new server and sql software and restore the db, load but
    not configure SharePoint, and add the content db that was resotred through powershell.  I have never had any big issues with this before.  This time, I have done this same procedure as there is a new domain and new server.  Server and
    SQL 2008R2 and SharePoint 2010 on both old and new servers - just new server and new domain.  I have done this twice now (as it is a virtual server) and I have the same issue.  I can't check anything in or upload anything new.  I get the error
    - The URL '<path to the file and filename>' is invalid.  It may refer to a nonexistent file or folder, or refer to a valid file or folder that is not in the current Web.  I have made sure
    that my database and log files are on a drive that has plenty of space (db is not restricted to grow).  I have made sure my database is not locked.  I have checked to see that I don't have version in my indexed columns in that library (I
    don't have any).  I have checked that my recycle bin is on in central admin.  I am not using RBS.  I have turned on verbose logging and found the following when I searched on the correlation ID from the error message - it is saying invalid
    column name extension.  I am not sure what to do at this point.  I can see there is a column in SQL called extension in the AllDocs table. Thanks.

    I have fixed it.  I did a backup of the database and log file 2 times. I also did an upgrade-spcontentdatabase command in the sharepoint powershell.  Not sure why it worked, but I had read online about upgrade issues from WSS2 to WSS3 to 2010
    and I thought maybe something did not fully get upgraded even though this has been in use for 2 years since the upgrade.

    Hi all,
    I'm having this issue on all document libraries when editing its properties, and it is also happening when creating new sub site (when it tries to provision the homepage). This issue is happening in a site collection that was migrated from a SharePoint 2010
    environment.
    I have investigated every single error message, and none of the search results I found on the web helped, including the issue with having multiple column names mapped to the same database name ("@tp_Editor" error below). The file exists and it
    gets added to the document library but it fails when updating it's properties.
    Here is logs from the ULS logs related to this issue:

    It sounds like you have an Event Receiver attached to your library that might be throwing an internal error and blocking the file from being uploaded. The following errors state that the file that SharePoint thought was uploaded actually wasn't. I would
    focus on what is happening within the event receiver.

  • The URL 'filename.xml' is invalid. It may refer to a nonexistent file or folder, or refer to a valid file or folder that is not in the current web

    Hi All,
    We have a form library with around 2000 InfoPath forms submitted successfully, but suddenly from the couple of weeks noticing that, the users are able to submit the form successfully without
    any issues but the referenced .xml file is physically not
    getting saved and the strange thing is it's reference(i.e. xml) is available. When we try opening the form it gives below error.<o:p></o:p>
    “InfoPath cannot open the following file ‘formpath/.xml’
    ”<o:p></o:p>
    When we try viewing the version history, it gives below error:<o:p></o:p>
    "The URL 'filename.xml' is invalid. It may refer to a nonexistent file or folder, or refer to a valid file or folder that is not in the current web"<o:p></o:p>
    I have also looked at the logs but not much information. Can someone help me?

    Hi,
    According to the error message, this issue is a typically database related issue.
    1. Make sure that your Content Database in SQL is not full.
    Open SQL management studio and connect to SQL server that have your content DB.
    You can find SQL server name from "manage servers in this farm".
    Right click the content database, click Reports > Standard Reports > Disk Usage to generate a standard report.
    For your reference:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/178095de-7fba-482c-9be1-94e60b1906e0/sharepoint-2010-error-the-url-item-url-is-invalid-it-may-refer-to-a-nonexistent-file-or
    2. According to KB 894631, this error message will be thrown out when the content database is configured to read-only.
    Go to Central Administration > Manage Content Databases and check if it is the case. Also, recycle the application pool in case the cache was corrupted.
    Thanks.

    Hi
    when i upload a document to  Drop off library its giving me error message
    The URL 'DropOffLibrary/.tiff' is invalid.
    It may refer to a nonexistent file or folder, or refer to a valid file or folder

    Hi adil,
    According to your description, my understanding is that the error occurred when you uploaded documents to Drop Off library.
    While there could be many reasons for this misleading error to show up, I recommend to verify the things below:
      1. Check if the default values for the columns in the Drop Off library are incorrect.
    http://bernado-nguyen-hoan.com/2011/03/22/sharepoint-evil-1-the-url-url-is-invalid-it-may-refer-to-a-nonexistent-file-or-folder-or-refer-to-a-valid-file-or-folder-that-is-not-in-the-current-web/
      2. Check if there is low disk space in the database server.
    http://underthehood.ironworks.com/2011/05/sharepoint-server-error-the-url-is-invalid-it-may-refer-to-a-nonexistent-file-or-folder-or-refer-to-.html
    If above cannot work, could you please provide more error message in ULS log for further research?
    Best regards.

    Please when you have a query post the URL of your feed, not its contents.  Is this your feed? -
    http://kpssctoxicology.org/Podcast/kptoxcast_test_rss_092711.xml
    You have a number of cases of a string of spaces in titles: you also have one in a URL which will render that link invalid.
    But what is rendering the whole feed unreadable is your category link:
    <category>Science & Medicine</category>
    The presence of an ampersand ('&') by itself indicates the start of a code sequence, and in the absence of one, and its closing character, invalidates everything which follows, and thus the entire feed. You must replace the ampersand with the code
    &amp;
    Additionally, your opening lines should read thus:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <rss xmlns:itunes="http://www.itunes.com/dtds/podcast-1.0.dtd" version="2.0">
    (with the 'purl.org' line if you like).
    If you are going to submit a feed to iTunes you might want to reconsider have 'test' in the filename: apart from the Store having a tendency to reject obvious test podcasts which may not reflect the finished version, you will be stuck with this URL and though you can change the feed URL it's an additional hassle.

  • Emailed a link (token) and when my browser opens it I get the error: An error occured. The URL had a missing or invalid conirmation token.

    tyring to set up an Alumni Email Forwarding Account. They sent me a confirmation email with the link to complete the process. When I "followed" the link, Firefox opens the page and I get the message: An error occured. The URL had a missing or invalid confirmation token.
    I'm wondering if maybe my browser settings are the problem and if so, what do I need to change.

    Does that link have special characters in it that may get corrupted when pasting or passed via DDE?<br />

  • The web application root or the URL is invalid?

    Hey there-  So basically I'm setting up a simple ASP.NET FB4 project using IIS locally.  Before I get into my question, I can successfully create the project and test it on my machine.  My concern is that I can not receive a valid confirmation from FB when setting up the configurations.  For instance, if I place the correct paths:
    Web application root: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\weborb4
    Web application URL: http://localhost:1234/weborb4
    I always receive this error, The web application root or the URL is invalid.  Is there something I should be looking into?  Any suggestions are appreciated!

    Hi
    I filed the bug http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FBG-2539 for the same

  • Recently downloaded version 9.0.1 and the url is invalid for the default homepage. Is the default homepage still supported?

    I currently have www.google.com set as my homepage but Firefox states that the url is invalid for the default homepage.

    See [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/908165 this support question] esp. Vivec.Wilfred's response. Sounds like it answers the question of Firefox 9.0.1 not being able to load its own default homepage on certain Win XP systems (I get this as well). Need to install appropriate DLLs to fix, or wait for official fix.

  • When I open a second Firefox browser window, the URL address window, instead of showing the URL, says "Go to a Web Site;" also, and more importantly, the "back" button is greyed out. This is a new problem, and the first Firefox window I open works fine.

    After I open the first Firefox browser window, any additional window I open does not open my homepage, but opens a blank page with "New Tab" showing on the tab. An orange "Firefox" tab with a drop down arrow shows at the upper left hand corner of the screen. All of the options (File, Edit, etc.) are greyed out, however they will work if you move your cursor over them.
    The URL address window says "Go to a Web Site". After I've gone to a website, the back button remains greyed out and I am not able to go back to a previous page. My RoboForm and Netcraft toolbars only show up in an abbreviate form. The add-on bar doesn't show up at all.
    Again, this is a recent problem, and only happens after I've opened one browser window (which works fine) and then open additional browser windows (as few as one additional).

    I had this same problem. Seems to be caused by the web developer tool bar FF extension (this started happening after a recent update to that extension). After disabling it, my FF is back to normal :)

  • The url is invalid

    Every time I open a new search the error message comes up the url is invalid

    That issue can be caused by a corrupted or incomplete Visual C++ installation (multiple versions can be installed side-by-side; SxS) that is missing some runtime components (Redistributable Package) that Firefox depends on (problem with an embedded manifest file that specifies a specific runtime version).
    You need to install the missing components (e.g. VisualC++ 2005 Redistrbutable).

    replace the following line in your code:
    var url = "http/services.odata.org/Northwind/Northwind.svc";
    with the following:
    var url = "proxy/http/services.odata.org/Northwind/Northwind.svc";
    It will either work fine or this error will be skipped.

    Use the #{ } notation. It only works in at least JSF 1.2 / JSP 2.1 / JSTL 1.2 however. In older versioned environments, you should use the ${ } notation in JSTL only. In this case you just need to make sure that the managed bean is already created and in scope.
