Inventory Organization Security question

Hi SME's,
Need to implement below functionalities in EBS R12. Please provide your inputs whether it can be implemented using standard oracle feature or we need to do any personalization/customization to achieve this.
1. If user creates a new item code, he can assign the item to specific
organizations to which he is assigned. Currently if i create a item code
and try to assign it, i am able to see all the organization, whereas i
need to restrict the organizations to which
i can assign the item code.
Whether above can be achieved without any personalization/customization, if so please advice.
2. While PR user should be able to access items only from organizations
to which he is assigned. This i believe we can achieve
using org access control at resp level. Navigation is Inventory -->
Setup --> Organization --> Organization access. Please confirm whether understanding is correct, if not provide your thoughts on implementing.

Whether second one can be achieved by org security access. Consider the below example and please let me know whether this can be implemented.
1 Create a User --> Clerk
2. Assign below responsbility to Clerk User
---> ABC Purchasing user
3. Map below inventory organization to the responsbility,
ABC Purchasing user
--> ABC Raw materials Inv Org
--> ABC Finished goods Inv Org
So based on above setup, if user Clerk uses responsiblity ABC Purchasing user. Whether he will be able to create PR only for items in Organiztions above. Please confirm

No Inventory Organization of OU1 Assignment in Financials Options for OU2

Hi,
Here is our scenario:
1) We are in R12 Fresh Implementation
2) We have 4 Legal Entities (LE1, LE2, LE3, LE4) and 4 OU's (OU1, OU2, OU3, OU4) Respectively (Each LE with One OU)
3) We have only 2 Inventory Organization (Global Item Master/US INV) created in OU1. It is business requirement that we need to have only 1 Inv Org
When i am trying to setup Inventory Organization in Financial Options Form for OU2, I do not see any Inventory Orgs.
How can i use the Global Item Master for All my Operating Units?
How can i assign Inventory Org of the OU1 to other Operating Units Financial Options
Appreciate your help, Please let me know if the question is unclear

If my understaing of your question is correct, than the following equation hold true for OU assignment in a muti-org model holds true:
The following points describe how the Multi-Org model relates organizations.
•A ‘Business Group’ is the highest level of the structure and has no accounting impact. The ‘Business Group’ determines which employees will be available to ‘Sets of Books’ and ‘Operating Units’ related to that ‘Business Group’
•‘Set of Books’ is the highest level which impacts the accounting side of the business
•‘Set of Books’ is associated with a single ‘Business Group’, multiple ‘Sets of Books’ may be associated with a single ‘Business Group’
•Each ‘Set of Books’ may have a different chart of accounts structure, calendar or functional currency
•Each ‘Legal Entity’ is associated to a single ‘Set of Books’, multiple ‘Legal Entities’ may be associated with the a single ‘Set of Books’
•Each ‘Operating Unit’ is associated with a single ‘Legal Entity’, multiple ‘Operating Units’ may be associated with a single ‘Legal Entity’
•An ‘Inventory Organization’ may be associated with any ‘Operating Unit within the same ‘Set of Books’
Can you please conform me if my assumption is correct:
You have 4 LE which you have assigned to 4 SOB and you have 4 OU which you have assigned to 4LE. in the above situation the single inv org which you are try to assign to OU2 will not hold true.

Forcing Users to set Security Questions

Hi All,
Currently when a user joins the organization, the user can go to IdM user interface, login and set security questions. But this is an option only if user wants to use self service in IdM. So, it has been found that users are not setting it and it becaomes a pain when they call help desk for password change and help desk is not able to verify the user's identity because security questions are not set.
Please share your thoughts how other organizations are handling this situation.
Is there any way that we can force a user to set security questions when the user logs in first time?

Hello,
In our Organization we did the following.
Under the Security tab there is a Policy tab.
There you should find a policy called: Default Identity Manager Account Policy.
Under Secondary Authentication Policy Options make sure "Enforce Answer Policy at Login" is checked.
In page help states:
Select this option to enforce the authentication question policy when the user logs in to this interface.
This solution works however it did become problematic while we had pass-thru authentication configured.

Independent delivery numbers for each Inventory Organization.

Hi.
To all the community.
We have an EBS instance with multiorg. We have 3 companies, and each company has its set of books, operating unit and inventory organization.
Actually, the EBS is seeting up in a way that is giving a unique delivery number (for all operating units --> for all inventory organizations) from a unique sequence, when the user is making the picking release.
Actually, the spanish authorities has established that each company must have a unique sequence for the delivery number when we make the picking release.
My question is if is it possible to setup the EBS in a way where each company
have its own sequence for the delivery number, in order to have a separate
sequence number, not overlapped between them.

you can try creating a document category for table WSH_NEW_DELIVERIES, and then assign individual document sequence for each operating unit. See if this works.

How i Restrict Inventory Organization in Purchasing

Hi:
In Purchasing module, i created 5 Inventory organizations. My requirement is to show only 1 inventory Organization so using System Administrator responsibility, I created new responsibility "Purchasing Copy" which is similar to Purchasing Super User Responsibility and add same menu items.
so what i want is when i login with "Purchasing copy" responsibility, it will only show 1 Inventory organization out of 5.
so can u please help me how i do this:

You would need to restrict the access to Inventory organization to the newly created "Purchasing Copy" responsibility.Do the following:
1)Using the Inventory Super user responsibility,follow the navigation:
*(N)Setup-->Organization-->Organization Access*
2)Enter the Inventory Organization Code and the Name of the Purchasing Responsibility to which you want to give access to the inventory Org Code.
3)Save the Form.
4)Navigate back to "Purchasing Copy" responsibility and use the menu named "Change Organization".You should be able to see only the Inventory Organization to which you have enabled access in 2nd step.Select that Inventory Org and perform the tasks you want to do.

The new questions show on your account on http://appleid.apple.com ? If they do then try logging out and back into your account on your phone (assuming that is where you are trying to purchase from) and see if the new questions then show on it.

How do I delete an Apple iCloud account from my iPhone without password, security questions, or email?

For some reason, an old iD is stuck on my phone. My iPhone 4s is nearly filled with documents and data, to the point where I cannot take pictures, and I can't reset it without using this old iD. I don't know why this is now popping up instead of the one I am registered with. I gained access to the old email the iD is under, but none of the iTunes emails are coming in so I assume it is set up under a different email. For the security question of birthdays, I tried every household member's birthday, and none worked. I have tried the password we used on that account when it was active, along with every other possiblility. I don't know what to do anymore and I have very limited use of my phone if I don't get this sorted out and deleted from my phone.

How can I access my iCloud email account when I don't remember the password and Apple won't accept the answer to my security question?

I set up an email account with " @me.com". I get a wrong password message when I try to log in. When I try to change my password I get an INcorrect answer message to the security question I'm asked my birth date so I know I have it right, unless I did a typo when I set up the account. When I choose email me the reset password lnk I cannot retrieve the email because it won't accept the password. I wanted to justemail Apple for instructions but cannot find an email address for that. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page give you a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

HT2204 I don't remember the answers to the security question to authorize my new laptop to use iTunes. How to sort this problem?

iTunes requires me to answer to a couple of security questions to authorize me to use it on my new mac book pro, but I don't rimember the answer to them. I can I sort out this problem?
