Invocation!!!

I'm losing my mind here.
Has anyone got invoke.c in sun's jni tutorial page to
work? I've been trying to compile that program for days.
I'm running this on solaris with jdk1.3.
Following is my compile line and I also included those
library paths in LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
gcc -I/usr/j2se/include -I/usr/j2se/include/solaris
-L/usr/j2se/jre/lib/sparc/client
-L/usr/j2se/jre/lib
-L/usr/j2se/jre/lib/sparc
-L/usr/j2se/jre/lib/sparc/native_threads
-lthread -lc -ljava invoke.c
Following is the error message I'm getting:
Undefined symbol.
JNI_CreateJavaVM /var/tmp/cc3CFkit.o (symbol belongs to implicit
dependency /usr/j2se/jre/lib/sparc/client/libjvm.so)
JNI_GetDefaultJavaVMInitArgs /var/tmp/cc3CFkit.o
(symbol belongs to implicit
dependency /usr/j2se/jre/lib/sparc/client/libjvm.so)
Thank you for your time.
Jay

The err msg is telling you to link with libjvm.so. Add this option "-ljvm" and see what happens.

  • Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off

    I am on Oracle 11.1.1.7 BPM suite on W8 64 bit. I can't launch the flow trace and get the error "Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off".  I have set the audit level to development at the soa-infra>SOA Administration> Common Properties > Audit level set to development and Capture Composite Instance State is Checked.
    Can somebody advice.
    Thanks

    Can you please confirm me the following steps...
    Log in to the EM console, Expand soa-infra (soa_server1) , go to the partition where your composite is been deployed, Click on your composite, On the right, click on the dropdown Settings and choose Composite Audit Level. you can choose to set the Audit Level for this composite. If you choose Inherit, it will take the settings to what the server is being set to. Otherwise, we can override it by choosing Off, Production, or Development.
    Make sure your setting for that composite is not Off, keep inherit or production or development.
    Thanks,

  • Remote Invocable object is not constructed/initialized correctly

    Hi, I got a strange problem.
    Basically, a node assignes a range of ids (for example 1-1000) to all nodes including itself via the InvocationService. Upon the receipt of Invocable, all the remote nodes do not have the Invocable information initialized correctly, ONLY the original node starts the InvocationService call get the Invocable initialized correctly. In my program, any node can start the InvocationService, and I tried all the different nodes and they all have the same problem.
    I fake the code a little bit and when calling the InvocationService (query()) it always sends to itself. And all Invocable objects (when run() starts) are initialized correctly.
    Can someone help provide some insight?
    The following is some of code related to the problem.
    The node call the InovactionService:query()
    SearchInvocable oneRange = new SearchInvocable(CacheHelper.getLocalMember());
    for (int j = 0; j < members.length; j++) {
    oneRange.setMin(nextMinKey);
    nextMaxKey = ((nextMinKey + rangeSize) < maxKey) ? (nextMinKey + rangeSize) : maxKey;
    oneRange.setMax(nextMaxKey);
    // Inform the member for the assigned key range via
    // invocation service
    // CHANGING TO targets.add(memebers[0]);
    // WORKS FINE! SO STRANGE
    targets.add(members[j]);
    System.out.println("Range[" + j + "]: " + oneRange);
    invokeService.query(oneRange, targets);
    targets.clear();
    nextMinKey = ((nextMaxKey + 1) < maxKey) ? (nextMaxKey + 1) : maxKey;
    The Invocable object
    public class SearchInvocable extends KeyRange implements Invocable {
    SearchInvocable(Member sourceMember) {
    super();
    this.sourceMember = sourceMember;
    public void run() {
    System.out.println("SearchInvocable::run(): " + this);
    Here is the output for remote nodes print out the Invocable (the Invocable is not initialized correctly).
    SearchInvocable::run(): type:null min:0 max:0
    Here is the output for local node print out the Invocable
    SearchInvocable::run(): type:Accountl min:10001 max:99996
    Thanks,
    Jasper

    Hi Robert,
    That's it. It is the KeyRange not implements the Serializable. I missed it. I thought for the local node it goes through the same serialization as the remote nodes do so I overlook the problem. This shows Coherence does the optimization for local node without going through the serialization. Excellent!

    The details/ID in NWDS Service Reference must exactly match the SOA configuration. Sometimes it's possible you have changed the reference or the group itself and something changed to become mismatched.
    It's possible they don't match - but the SG itself will show green in NWA since the service exists and responds on the target system. Does the ID listed in the error match what is shown in the NWDS project?

  • EJB 3.1new instance of stateless session bean not created on new invocation

    I am using Netbeans 6.8 bundle that comes with JAVA EE 6. I have created a web application then created restful web services and then created few stateless session beans (with local interfaces) that are invoked from restful web services. From the browser, when I call the url with get method, restful web services are being invoked and they in turn calls stateless session beans and does the appropriate business logic. While testing, I observed that for every new url call from the browser, the same bean is being invoked. I tested this by adding a instance variable vector and adding one item ('test") to the vector in bean's method. My understanding is that on every bean's method invocation the vector should have only one item. However, the vector is growing with many "test" items. I am literally confused, not sure this is the way it is supposed to work. I tried to invoke bean's method from restful web service by using both dependency injection and jndi look up, both instances the vector is growing with many "test" items.
    I would really appreciate if some body gives me more insight.

    I appreciate your answers. There is a strong reason for posting this question. Basically, I am using JPA and using stateless session beans to invoke database calls. In the bean I am using the following code for entity manager.
    @PersistenceContext(unitName = "AsgProtocolServerPU")
    private EntityManager em;
    I have noticed very strange scenario while getting records. From the application, I have obtained few records of a table. Then, I manually deleted few records from the table. Very strangely, I have obtained the deleted records during my next call to bean. After 2 hours, I tested the same and did not get those records. This is not consistent.
    I am totally confused. I am just wondering this is happening because I made beans local (not remote) and placed them in the web application (Java EE6 allows this). I am not sure whether this is JPA related issue or beans issue.

  • Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation error while updating picture in user Profile

    Hi,
    I am working on updating picture of user profile in sharepoint 2013.
    I am getting error "exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation" while creating Thumbnail at the below line.
    "file = (SPFile)mi_CreateThumbnail.Invoke(null, new object[] { original, idealWidth, idealHeight, folder, fileName, null });"
    I have added SPUtility.ValidateFormDigest() before calling this method. but no luck.
    Please help me on this.
    Thanks
    Hareesh

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to update picture in user Profile.
    If we are giving an option to change the Profile picture in our custom component, we need to create 3 different files and update the reference in User Profile property.
    To create Thumbnail, we can use the code as below:
    /// Get sealed function to generate new thumbernails
    public SPFile CreateThumbnail(Bitmap original, int idealWidth, int idealHeight, SPFolder folder, string fileName)
      SPFile file = null;
      Assembly userProfilesAssembly = typeof(UserProfile).Assembly;
    Type userProfilePhotosType = userProfilesAssembly.GetType("Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.UserProfilePhotos");
      MethodInfo [] mi_methods = userProfilePhotosType.GetMethods(BindingFlags.NonPublic | BindingFlags.Static);
      MethodInfo mi_CreateThumbnail = mi_methods[0];
      if (mi_CreateThumbnail != null)
        file = (SPFile)mi_CreateThumbnail.Invoke(null, new object[] { original, idealWidth, idealHeight, folder, fileName, null });
      return file;
    Then we can invoke the method as below:
    using (MemoryStream stream = new MemoryStream(buffer))
    using (Bitmap bitmap = new Bitmap(stream, true))
    CreateThumbnail(bitmap, largeThumbnailSize, largeThumbnailSize, subfolderForPictures, accountName + "_LThumb.jpg");
    CreateThumbnail(bitmap, mediumThumbnailSize, mediumThumbnailSize, subfolderForPictures, accountName + "_MThumb.jpg");
    CreateThumbnail(bitmap, smallThumbnailSize, smallThumbnailSize, subfolderForPictures, accountName + "_SThumb.jpg");

    1. Create JDBC XA Data Source (<DomainName> -> Services -> JDBC - > Data Sources)
    2. Create Outbound Connection Pool Configuration (<DomainName> -> Deployments -> Configuration -> OutBound Connection Pool) of type javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory
    3. Click on the newly created configuration name, and set the JNDI value of the datasource as "     xADataSourceName" Property Value.
    4. After setting the JNDI, use "Enter Key" from the keyboard to set it, and then save the configuration.
    5. Restart the server and try the BPEL Process again.

  • Error occurred in deployment step 'Activate Features':EXCEPTION HAS BEEN THROWN BY THE TARGET OF AN INVOCATION?

    Hi All,
    While building event handler to call webservice facing "Error occurred in deployment step 'Activate Features':EXCEPTION HAS BEEN THROWN BY THE TARGET OF AN INVOCATION"; If comment webservice, then build successfully. How to fix this issue?
    Thanks in advance!

    hi
    if you call WCF service in feature event receiver you need to ensure that proxy is properly configured. In most cases proxy is configured via web.config file using <system.serviceModel> section, but if it is used in feature receiver it depends on how
    you activate the feature:
    1. if feature is added to onet.xml of custom web template which is used for creating site collection from Central Administration you will need to modify web.config file of CA
    2. similar to previous but instead of site collection you try to create sub site using custom web template: in this case you will need to modify web.config of your Sharepoint web application
    3. if you activate feature from timer job somehow, you will need to modify owstimer.exe.config
    4. if you activate feature form powershell, most probably you will need to modify or create powershell.exe.config, but I didn't try it
    The most simple way which will work in all cases is to configure WCF proxy programmatically. See the following forum thread for details:
    How can I set an HTTP Proxy (WebProxy) on a WCF client-side Service proxy.

    Dear Legends,
    My requirement is to call store procedure from BPEL. So for I created a BPEL with 2 assign activity and 1 Invoke activity to Invoke the DB adapter. After Deploying I tested the process but it shows the following error:

    Check to ensure that the XML containing parameter data matches the parameter definitions in the XSD.  This exception is considered not retriable, likely due to a modelling mistake.  To classify it as retriable instead add property nonRetriableErrorCodes with value "-1403" to your deployment descriptor (i.e. weblogic-ra.xml).  To auto retry a retriable fault set these composite.xml properties for this invoke: jca.retry.interval, jca.retry.count, and jca.retry.backoff.  All properties are integers.

    What does the above error says?
    1. Whether concern Grant or Execute Privileges is not properly provided to the user?
    2. Is there any Dangling Privileges are prevailing?
    3. Is that the Store Procedure to be Handled with an Error Handling by means of Exception?
    4. Is that I have been giving wrong test data?
    5. Is that No data being existing in the Procedure?
    6. Is that anything related to XA and NON-XA Data Source?
    Any kind of help would be much appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
    Thanks,
    Karthik

    Can you check the following ?
    a. Hopefully the when you execute the procedure using sql tool it works fine and returns data.
    b. Is there any input parameter available for procedure ?
    c. IF yes, is the parameter is mapped with the procedure parameter and populated with value before calling the procedure ?
    d. In the audit trial, you can see from the invoke activity to see whether the parameter is populated with value or not ?
    e. Check the input parameter by executing the procedure with sql tool to see whether this request is receiving any data in return or not ?
    Thanks,
    Vijay

    Patrick,
    I apologize. polling was done by some other service, not my current OSB Service.
    OSB Proxy Service to poll/read data is not working.
    I enabled logging to Error in Proxy Service. and enable tracing
    If I test my Proxy Service from Console. I see this message

  • SFTP: The invocation resulted in an error: java.util.NoSuchElementException

    I have created a business service using the SFTP protocol.
    When testing the BS, I received the "known_hosts doesn't exist or doesn't have read permission" error, which I resolve by placing the known_host file in $Domain_Home\config\osb\transports\sftp
    But now I have got another error "The invocation resulted in an error: java.util.NoSuchElementException". Does anyone know what this error refers to? I have already set the filename through the transport header.
