Invoking an Event from another view

In the Interaction Record viewset (IRecViewSet), when a user creates a Followup I need to not only create the followup but also automatically Save the main interaction record as well; as if the user clicks the Create Followup button then the Save button.
The problem is the Create Followup button is in the Followup view, and the Save button is in the Reason view.
How can I invoke the EH_ONSAVE event of the Reason view from within the Followup view?
Thanks.
(we are using CRM5.0)

Check the Code for EH_ONSAVE for  View IRecReason ( Interaction Record ) . You can call the same code in your follow up View . Should work . Let me know

  • Invoking an event from another event

    Hi,
I'm kind of new to the event structure in LV 7. Can anyone tell me how to invoke another event from the other one. For example i have two events say "calculate" to do something and "popmessage" to pop-up a user defined message box. How do i trigger the popmesage event upon timing out?

    Hello,
In order to invoke a new event from within an existing event, you need to use programmatically generated (or user) events.
To find more information on programming with events,
    See the LabVIEW User's Guide
In LabVIEW, go to Help, Search the LabVIEW Bookshelf
    Click the LabVIEW User Manual
    Chapter 9 describes Event-Driven Programming.
    Read the event-programming tutorials.
Go to http://www.ni.com and click on Support at the top.
In Option 3, enter keywords "events labview" (without quotes).
The first link should be Event-Driven Programming in LabVIEW and the
third should be Advanced Event Handling with LabVIEW 7 Express.
Look at example code in LabVIEW
In LabVIEW, go to Help, Find Examples.
On the Search tab, enter "events."
Open "Programmatically Fire Events" for an example of triggering a new event from within an existing event.
I have also attached a simple example showing how to use programmatic events to invoke a new event from within the current event. However, the new event will not be processed until the current event is finished.
Is your situation that the calculate event may take a long time and you'd like to pop up a message after a certain amount of time? If so, one solution is to have parallel event structures. In the second structure, only process the user event. However, a simpler solution may be to check the clock before your processing loop and com
pare this value periodically in the loop to see if a certain amount of time has elapsed.
    Happy coding,

  • How to refer one view from another view?

    Hi,
I have 2 views in my Adobe Flash Builder mobile app. I need to refer the first view in my second view.
How to refer one view from another view? Or how to create a reference to a view wherever needed?

I don't need any data from my first view. In a certain flow, I need to make my first view to be invisible.
for eg., My First view is in portrait mode. I change the device to Landscape. In the landscape mode, I want to show a completely different view (second view).
In this case, what happens is, I see my first view in Landscape mode for a second. Then the second view appears. When I change to Landscape mode, only the second view should be seen. I need to make my first view to be completely invisible in the OnOrientationChanging event of
    StageOrientationEvent
As stage object and StageOrientationEvent works at application level, I need to know how to refer my first view object in the application level.
    private function onOrientationChanging(soe:StageOrientationEvent):void
MyFirstView.Visible = False; ====> don't know how to refer MyFirstView here
    Is my question clear now?

  • Opening a view from another view of the same window in diff Browser.

    Hi Experts,
My requirement is to open a view (say view 2) from another view (say view 1) with click of a button in a different browser, both the views are embedded into the same window, and also i have to pass some data from view1 to view2, based no the input data, i am displaying some information. Also both views belog to the same component.
Some pointers on this would be of great help.
    Regards,
    Ashish.

You would need to open another window.
    See if_wd_window and if_wd_window_manager.
Call the GET_API to get a handle to window manager.
The new window can show V2.
The original Window with 2 views,
must fire plug to navigate v2 to empty view to hide it from Window1.
The to Views talk to one another via WDC Controller.
View 2 calls WDC controller methods.  The WDC controller the fires Event.
View 1 can listen to this event with a method of type event handler.
View 1 can for example react to button on View 2 and close WINDOW 2.
    Good luck
    Phil.

  • Refresh/Reprocess view from another view.

    Hi all,
I'm facing a problem with reprocessing a view in webgui:
In component BT126H_CALL i've created a new assignment block ZREGDETAILS based on a Z-table which contains products.
Also in component BT126H_CALL i've enhanced a view SCDETAILS and added a total-field (ztotal) that should show the total value of the records in ZREGDETAILS.
My problem is now that view SCDETAILS is processed before ZREGDETAILS, so I cannot update the ztotal field... How can I call the SCDETAILS to be reprocessed again from the ZREGDETAILS view?
In other projects I used folowing code for calling the save event on ZREGDETAILS from another view. But in this case the SCDETAILS is not a subcontroller of ZREGDETAILS.
DATA: sub_contr TYPE REF TO CL_BSP_WD_VIEW_CONTROLLER,
            contr_regdetails TYPE REF TO ZL_ZBT126H__REGDETAILS_IMPL.
      sub_contr = ME->GET_SUBCONTROLLER_BY_VIEWNAME('ZBT126H_CALL/ZRegdetails').
      IF sub_contr is bound.
        contr_regdetails ?= sub_contr.
        contr_regdetails->Save( ).
      ENDIF.
    Many thanks in advance!
    Siegfried

    Hi Pooja,
According to my understanding on action of radio buttons i hope you are calling some other component so on action of the radio  button may be it might be any of the radio button u can set the radio buttons as it was initially and then call the screen ...
Setting the radio buttons should be done in the action of radio buttons... By doing this i hope that radio buttons will be set and second view also will be calleed when we go back to the screen we can view the radio buttons refreshed.. Try this hope it might be helpful...

  • Different ways to invoke a servlet from another servlets?

    Hello,
I am a bit confused today. I was thinking about all the ways by which I can invoke a servlet from another servlets. I know it can be done by creating an instance of the 2nd servlet in the 1st one. Is there any other way? such as say.... RequestDispatcher perhaps?
Here is an example to illustrate my point. I have a login.jsp which submits to login.do. login.do search through database and first authenticate email and then the corresponding password. Now its time for displayGame.do. So here how do i do? if it was a displayGame.jsp then i could have used Redirection or Forward but when it is servlets? Can I still go for Redirection or Forward??
Thank you for reading this confused post. :-)

if it was a displayGame.jsp then i could have used Redirection or Forward but when it is servlets?Question: do you know what a JSP becomes when you first run it?
    Answer: a servlet.
So yes, you can use a RequestDispatcher to forward/redirect to a servlet OR a JSP, whatever you like.

  • Invoke a presentation from another presentation

    Hi everybody,
I need to invoke a presentation from another presentation, to generate an e-mail, like a popup. I would prefer not to use another task to do this. In the parent presentation i need a button Mail that invokes a presentation in which i would have some attributes from the parent presentation. Please your help.
    Thanks
    Eva
    Edited by: Eva E on 22-jul-2009 11:06

    Hi Eva,
Know there's a good reason for you not using a Screenflow for this, but I missed it somehow.
If you had a Screenflow, you could have a transition in the screenflow back to the original presentation and retain the information you entered/changed in the original presentation.
    Thanks,
    Dan

  • Capturing print event from PDF viewer

    Hi all,
I am using class CL_GUI_PDFVIEWER to display and print a document using a SAP dynpro screen & a custom container.  I am successfully able to do this, but would like to capture the print event from the viewer in some way.  I did not see any print events for this class; is there any way to capture the printing of a PDF document from this viewer?  Thanks much,
    Rebecca Levings

    Hi Rebecca,
I am using class CL_GUI_PDFVIEWER to display PDF, but also want to print the document.
If I use PRINT Method of this class I am getting a runtime error. Can you please share your print code .. My requirement is to print a PDF File stored in file Client System without manual intervention.

  • Invoking A pushbutton from  another pushbutton

    Hi ,
I want to invoke a pushbutton on jspx page from another pushbutton which is on different jspx page.
How can a achive this ?

    Hi,
You can invoke a push button from JavaScript. So after the page is loaded, you use JavaScript added in a trh:script tag at the bottom of the page to evaluate e.g. a request parameter (assuming a GET request). Then you search for a button contained on this page and call queue on the JS class shown below

  • How modify data one view from another view in Cluster view

    Hi,
I have a cluster view which includes two independent maintenance views. These views have not a direct relationship.
If I would append or change or delete records in the first view I want to add or change or delete some records in the second view.
    1.
I have tried to use Extended Table Maintenance Events of the first view to modify the second but I cant access to the TOTAL and EXTRACT tables the second view from the fist view.
Is there any way to get access from one view to another using Extended Table Maintenance Events?
    2.
I have tried to use the Event 04/VC: Before Saving the Data in the Database of the cluster view. I can access and modify the second view internal table using routines
READ TABLE vcl_struc_tab WITH KEY object = 'ZFIRST_VIEW' INTO structab_wa.
    if  not structab_wa-UPD_REQU is initial.
       perform VCL_SET_TABLE_ACCESS_FOR_OBJ using 'ZSECOND_VIEW' changing error_flag.
       it_tbl_second = <VCL_TOTAL>.
       loop at it_tbl_second into wa_second.
         wa_tbl_second-vim_action = 'U'.
         modify it_tbl_second from wa_second
       endloop.
    endif.
But to save modified entries of the second view to database I have to twice press SAVE buttons.
The first time I have pressed SAVE above routines are executed and modified entries appear only in the second view internal table. The second time I have pressed SAVE modified entries appear in the database.
I would like user press SAVE button only once. How I can do it?

If I would append or change or delete records in the first view I want to add or change or delete some records in the second view
Without a dependant field how will you perform this operation ?
You have to link the fields in the tables, generate maintenance view, add it to cluster view and do it.

    cd E:\OraHome_ODI\oracledi\bin
    E:
    startscen %1 %2 %3

  • Call method with an argument from another view controller

I have a UIViewController MainViewController that brings up a modal view that is of the class AddPlayerViewController. When the user clicks 'Save' in the modal view I need to pass the Player data (which is a Player class) from the modal view to the MainViewController in addition to triggering a method in the MainViewController. What's the best way to accomplish this? I'm new to cocoa and have only tried using delegates and some ugly hacks to no avail.
    Thanks for the help.

If I understand correctly, you have:
    1. A model object, Player.
    2. A top view controller, MainViewController.
    3. Another view controller, AddPlayerViewController, which MainViewController displays modally.
I'm guessing that AddPlayerViewController creates a new Player object and lets the user set its values, and you need a way to get that new Player into MainViewController once they're done.
    So, here's what I'd do:
    1. Create an AddPlayerViewControllerDelegate protocol. It should declare two methods, "- (void)addPlayerViewController:(AddPlayerViewContrller*)controller didAddPlayer:(Player*)newPlayer" and "- (void)addPlayerViewControllerNotAddingPlayer:(AddPlayerViewController*)controll er".
    2. Add an attribute of type "id <AddPlayerViewControllerDelegate>" called delegate to AddPlayerViewController. Also add a property with "@property (assign)" and "@synthesize".
    3. Modify AddPlayerViewController so that if you click the "Save" button, addPlayerViewController:didAddPlayer: gets called, passing "self" and the new Player object as the two arguments. Also arrange for clicking the "Cancel" button to call addPlayerViewControllerNotAddingPlayer:.
    4. Modify MainViewController to declare that it conforms to AddPlayerViewControllerDelegate. Implement those two methods (addPlayerViewControllerNotAddingPlayer: might be an empty method if you don't want to do anything).
    5. When you create your AddPlayerViewController, set its delegate to your MainViewController.
If you need more detail, let me know what parts you need me to elaborate on.

  • Invoking a mapping from another DB in a process flow

Hi experts, have anyone try to invoke/execute an OWB mapping from another database in a process flow? Is it possible to do that?
My process flow (in the Staging db) scenario is to execute several OWB mapping in the Staging db, then the final step is to execute an OWB mapping which is created in the warehouse db.
    Is that possible?

  • Invoking bpel process from another bpel process in same app server

    Hi,
When I invoke a bpel process from another bpel process in the same oracle AS
    1. Is it a SOAP call or is there any optimization?
    2. If there is some optimization where can I configure this?
    3. Is there any similar optimizations if I invoke a bpel process from a
java application deployed in the same server? If so can you please provide
    a sample?
    Thanks for your help
    Raj

By default the BPEL 10.1.2, it will do a local call to the process. It will not execute a SOAP request, no network access is done.
It can be configured at domain level:
    Parameter: optSoapShortcut (SOAP local optimization)
Turns on "short-cut" for local SOAP request; local SOAP calls are normally done via an internal call instead of sending a message through the SOAP stack.
The default behavior for the engine is to optimize all. To disable optimization specify a value other than "true" or "yes".
