IOException while reading the the InputStream
Hi,
I am running into an issue where I am encounter an IOException while reading the InputStream. The URL sends back XML and is NOT Malformed. What would be causing the IOException?
URL server = new URL(url);
HttpURLConnection connection = (HttpURLConnection)server.openConnection();
connection.setRequestMethod("GET");
try{
connection.connect();
InputStream in= connection.getInputStream();
}catch(IOException e){
//Exception while reading the InputStream
any hints would be greatly appreciated. thanks,
M
Here is what I get
java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 505 for URL:
http://cheese.ddc.dal.earthlink.net/sa/search?upc=0088698190142&mfn="Hewlett-Packard"&producttitle="HP LaserJet 5000 - Printer - B/W - laser - A3 - 1200 dpi x 1200 dpi - up to 16 ppm - capacity: 350 sheets - Parallel, Serial"&partnumber=C4110A&XSL_TEMPLATE=sample.xsl&RESULTS=PARTNERS
But the URL is Ok. I can see XML being returned in the browser.
505 The HTTP protocol you are asking for is not supported.
Now, why would that be?
Thanks a lot for the help.

Message failing in SXMB_moni----Error while reading from the secure store
Hi,
The scenario is as below
A file is picked up from a folder and processed to enrich it.This enriched file is then written back in a different folder.
The message is failing in sxmb_moni while trying to write the file in the folder.
The PI system is a system copy of another system and few of the configuration objects are transported through a tpz file to this PI system.The file receiver channel used to write this file is also transported through this tpz file.
Below is the error seen in moni.:

While reading from the pl/sql cursor i got "Invalid column index" exception
Hi,
I got the "Invalid column index" exception while reading from the cursor.
Please advice.
Thanks in advance
sivaI suppose one (or more) index in your query is in a bad state.
Possible solutions: rebuild (with 'ALTER INDEX <index> REBUILD ...')
drop and recreate (it's the same as above, but a little more long) -
i am trying to sync iphone 5 to itunes but it says "iTunes could not connect to the iphone as an error occured while reading from the device " and the iphone is not seen on itunes........
First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. And then reboot your computer.
See if that fixes your problem. -
DPM encountered an error while reading from the recovery point used for recovery.
Hi Guys I'm getting this error:
DPM encountered an error while reading from the recovery point used for recovery. Either the recovery point no longer exists or, if you
selected a share for recovery, the path to its contents is missing from the recovery point. (265)
The DPM Server is on Windows 2012 DPM is 2012R2 4.2.1273.0
The Server being backed up is 2012 R2 with DPM Agent 4.2.1273.0
The Server has 3 Data Volumes (C: Drive) and D and E its the D and E drive that i get this error if i try and recover data from DPM. the C Drive is fine. the D and E Drive are different
in that 1 De-dupe is enabled and 2 the Shadow Copies for these Volumes are stored on separate Disks F and G respectively.
I've removed the Protection from drives D and E and reinstated it but every recovery point created
brings up the same error message. I'm not sure where to go next do I need to Protect the Disks that have the Shadow copies on also? Many thanks in advance Gordon.Hi,
It seems you are in a configuration where the Windows 2012 based DPM server does not understand how to read Windows 2012 R2 Dedup data structure which is what the DPM replica volume is.
See the DPM supported and unsupported scenarios
here under the deduplication issues section.
We have a fix in DPM2012 R2 UR5 that will protect the Windows 2012 R2 dedup volume in a non-dedup state on the DPM Server, but unfortunately that will not allow previous recovery points to be read.
KB3021791-Description of Update Rollup 5 for System Center 2012 R2 Data Protection Manager
Backup job for dedupe-enabled volume on Windows 2012 R2 fails. For example, Data Protection Manager backup might fail for following setup:
Data Protection Manager2012 R2 is installed on Windows Server 2012.
Data Protection Manager is protecting a dedupe-enabled volume on Windows Server 2012 R2.
This also applied to restores as the above was for D2D2T backup that may fail as it needs to read the recovery point to back it up to tape.

I want to diplay only the first 20 contents of the file then, by clicking the next button he should be able to view the next 20 contents of the file. Please help me out for this problem. If possible send me the codes too it'll very helpful for me.

Error while reading from device
I just upgraded from a 3gs to the iPhone 4 32GB. I upgraded to the newest iTunes. The phone is still using iOS 4.0.
When syncing large movies that worked fine on the 3gs, I get the message "Attempting to copy to the "my phone name" failed. An error occured while reading from the device.
Everything else synced fine, and some small homemade movies synced fine. Just the 2 that I had installed from "data discs" I got with DVDs won't sync. They play fine in iTunes.
Any thoughts????
GeneProblem solved... after reading around on the Internet I tried some ideas. The one that fixed the problem was the fact that I had a 6 foot usb extension cable on my system (not front facing usb ports). I plugged the iPhone data cable directly into the back of the PC and it fixed the issue.
Thanks

Bug in the ServerSocket InputStream.read()
I believe there is a bug in the ServerSocket InputStream.read() method.
This is demonstrated under Windows XP, running 1.4.0_01-b03
I am looking for confirmation and an examination of my assumptions for this.
There is nothing that suggests the InputStream.read() method should block on a EOL, yet it does.
This is demonstrated with the following code.
To reproduce uncomment one of the 'Case' sections in the MyServer code. Compile both classes. Run the MyServer then MyClient code.
The expected result for ALL cases should be
***socket start
text1
text2
But for the first case the last line is not printed. Note that for case 3 it does work, and the only exception is that available() is called.
The InputStream of the server resolves to java.net.SocketInputStream. The read() method calls the read(byte, int, int) method (which how I guessed that calling available would produce different results.)
//-----------------Client
import java.io.*;
import java.net.*;
public class MyClient
private MyClient() {}
static public void main(String argv[])
try
Socket s = new Socket("127.0.0.1", 50080);
OutputStream os = s.getOutputStream();
String text = "text1\r\ntext2";
os.write(text.getBytes());
os.flush(); // We know it was sent.
// Important! The socket remains open!
while(true)
Thread.currentThread().sleep(60 * 1000);
catch(Throwable e)
e.printStackTrace();
//----------- Server
import java.net.*;
public class MyServer implements Runnable
Socket s;
public MyServer(Socket s)
this.s = s;
static public void main(String argv[])
try
ServerSocket ss=new ServerSocket(50080);
while(true)
Socket s=ss.accept();
Thread t = new Thread(new MyServer(s));
t.start();
catch(Throwable e)
e.printStackTrace();
public void run()
try
System.out.println("***socket start");
java.io.InputStream ins=s.getInputStream();
// Case 1: Does NOT work
int j;
while((j=ins.read())!=-1)
System.out.write(j);
// Case 3: Does work
while (true)
int len = ins.available();
if ((len < 0) || s.isClosed()) break;
byte b[] = new byte[len];
ins.read(b);
for (int i=0; i < len; i++)
System.out.print((char)b);
// Case 3: Does work
while (true)
int len = ins.available();
if ((len < 0) || s.isClosed()) break;
for (int i=0; i < len; i++)
int b = ins.read();
System.out.print((char)b);
System.out.println("***socket end");
catch(Throwable e)
e.printStackTrace();System.out is line buffered. (I can only hope that I might have noticed this myself if I had been smart enough to use the same output method.)
Ok so it isn't a socket problem. But I still don't see anything that documents the behavior.
System.out is documented as a java.io.PrintStream. And that is actually the class that implements it.
Nothing in the documentation for PrintStream, the methods, the FilterOutputStream or even OutputStream would suggest the different behavior.
C works the same way; this never prints "world" on most systems:C works that way because of the way file descriptors work and the way that the buffers for those are handled. And how it works is undefined, a C implementation is allowed to handle it anyway it wants.
But this Java and not C. That means at a minimum that the behavior must be the same on all OSs. But given that the behavior is not documented then it could be that it is left to the implementation of the C library that the java io library is built upon. And that is not a good thing (in terms of normal java.)
The following demonstrates the behavior using the two output methods...
String text = "text1\r\ntext2";
byte[] b = text.getBytes();
System.out.println("--- print using print() sleep for 10 secs after");
for (int i=0; i < b.length; i++)
System.out.print((char)b);
Thread.currentThread().sleep(10 *1000);
System.out.println();
System.out.println("--- print using write() sleep for 10 secs after");
for (int i=0; i < b.length; i++)
System.out.write((int)b[i]);
Thread.currentThread().sleep(10 *1000);
System.out.println();
System.out.println("--- done"); -
Error while reading the PO in the Backend system. Inform system admin
Hi All,
We are having a peculiar issue of 'Error while reading the PO in the Backend system. Inform system admin'.
The P.O is in ordered status in SRM but the same is not getting transferred to backend ECC system.
No error messages or logs in RZ20, SLG1 any where.
All programmes like BBP_GET_STATUS_2 and CLEAN_REQREQ_UP are running fine.
Tried pushing the P.Os manually using function module (BBP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC_V2) to backend ECC.
It was working fine till a week ago and suddenly this problem is coming.
We had implemented few OSS notes suggested by SAP for the issue of 'shopping carts appearing in sourcing cockpit even after P.O creation' in both development and test system.
Now this issue is coming up in test system where as development system is working fine.
Please let us know where to look and how to resolve this issue.
A quick response would be highly appreciated.
Regards,
TejaI am facing the same issue with one PO in the Production system.
SRM 5.0 , R/3 4.6C Extended classic scenario.
I checked the status of other PO's created today. I see them in R/3. There is one PO which was created a week back which shows up as "ordered" in SRM but the PO is missing in R/3. When clicked on the details on the web, system throws the error
Error while reading the PO in the Backend system. Inform system admin.
Message no. BBP_CF010
I checked RZ20, SLG1 no errors were found. I checked RFC connection, it was working fine too.
I tried pushing the PO using the FM BBP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC, it did not solve the problem.
In SRM WEBGUI Process PO - Item data -->follow on documents --> PO status is shown as Archived.
Any inputs would be greatly appreciated. Please throw some light on this issue.
