Ios 6 update causing errors

After updating my ipad 3 on Friday my ipad is not working properly. I can not access iMessage, it will not verify my appleID at all, my facebook app will not allow me to make a status update or read messages and the app store will not load. Safai will not let me access masses of sites either. HELP

Then connect your iPad to your computer ,open iTunes ,click on your iPad's name in the left column ,hold the shift key and press restore , chose the file u downloaded , Wait for the restore to finish.
Then set up your iPad as a new iPad .
Here you go, Now your iPad will be perfectly fine.. And is now in iOS 5 legally.You do not void your warranty........

Ios 5 update causing Error 1602 on ipad 2 - Stuck in restore mode

Hi All,
Wondering if anyone experienced the same issue as me and has a fix.
Tried to update to ios 5 last night but got the 1602 error. ipad 2 is now in restore mode. For the remainder of last night I was unable to get the laptop (running XP) to detect the ipad. Finally got it to detect it this morning and it steps through the process but I keep getting the 1602 error.
I have disabled all anti-virus software and tried 2 different USB cables in different USB ports with no improvement. Have also moved the iPad2,2_5.0_9A334_Restore.ipsw to another folder to force it to redownload, which it did but got the same error again.
Any suggestions on next steps would be greatly appreciated.

Ios 5.0 update caused errors in all my ibooks

I updated my Ipad to the 5.0 and now all of my books purchased on ibook are missng half the pages and errors on a lot of the remaining pages. tried deleting and downloading again but no change. Anyone else having this prob?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the iPhone 3G does not support iOS 5. The iPhone 3GS is the oldest model that supports the iOS 5 operating system. The date keeps moving because you make it check for an update which there are none and the system keeps telling you it will check again in a few days. This is the normal operation of iTunes in terms of trying to keep your products up to date.

IOS 7 caused error code 21

During IOS 7 Update my phone went to recovery mode and then, would not restore, and update it gives me constantly error code 21, and also ive tried most fixes for it. New battery, Got all connections checked, even put the device into dfu mode.. Is there anyway i can go to apple corporate office, and get it fixed or even get a new one for replacement. Since it was caused by the IOS 7 Update.

I don't have an ethernet cable. After some googling found out how to force another factory reset and then redo the backup restore and this time it worked for some reason.

November updates cause error in IE group policy files

I reinstalled Windows 8.1 with Update today and noticed an error after installing either the IE 11 cumulative update or the optional November rollup update package. The error pops up only if either or both are installed. If they are uninstalled, the error
no longer appears.
The error pop up displays when group policy editor is opened,
"Resource '$(string.VerMgmtAuditModeEnable)' referenced in attribute displayName could not be found. File C:\windows\PolicyDefinitions\inetres.admx, line 1495, column 249."

This issue is related with the ADMX files of Internet Explorer. The error was often caused by mis-matched ADMX and ADML files.

Unzipping the download (THIS ONE
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40905), then copy the related language\inetres.adml file to the c:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\language directory, overwriting the existing one in the destination.

While attempting to update to IOS 8.02 iPad became unusable. Not able to restore nor restart. What is solution?

SOLVED: IOS 8 Issues on iPad 2:
I just returned home from a visit to the Genius Bar. Like you and many others, when I upgraded my iPad 2 to IOS 8, it became practically unusable. It was VERY slow, lagged whenever trying to to do anything. Lots of screen freezes and apps spontaneously crashing. I was convinced that the processor on the iPad 2 just couldn't handle the new IOS and I went in to see about restoring to IOS 7.
Thankfully, I was hooked up with a very sharp guy at the bar. The problem is not with the OS, it is with it being an *upgraded* OS. He used the analogy of when you had an older Windows computer and how over time (and over upgrades), they just tended to get slower and slower because of all of the garbage that was carried forward in the upgrades. At those times (and if you've ever had a Windows computer, you get this), the only thing that would speed it up would be to wipe the machine and do a fresh install of the current OS and then reload your apps, and the viola, everything would be fast again. Well, it turns out that IOS can suffer the same problems.
THE FIX: FIRST, be sure you have a current iCloud backup of your device. Connect your iPad to a computer that has a clean fresh copy of IOS 8 on iTunes (this is best done with a computer other than the one that you sync your device to because you DO NOT want to restore it from a back up just yet). Ideally, if you do this at an Apple store you'll be assured of the right version there and someone to answer any questions you might have along the way. You then hold the power and home button down to hard-reset the device and continue to hold them down until it reboots into recovery mode. You then follow the instructions on the computer to reinstall the OS on the device (which wipes everything from it and then reinstalls a clean copy of it). Once this is done (which only takes about 15 minutes), your device will reboot and ask you to set it up. Answer the questions about language, location, etc. and continue until it asks you to log into your iTunes account. Once you do that, it will ask if you want to either 1) Set it up as a new device, 2) Restore from iCloud, or 3) Restore from iTunes. Choose (2), restore from iCloud. This will ensure that it brings down "clean" copies of all of your apps and preferences rather than the potentially corrupted ones that might reside in your iTunes backup. That's it! It will take a few hours depending on how much data and apps you have, but I am happy to report that my iPad 2 is now running IOS 8 and it's running as fast as it ever did when it was brand new!
To sum it up, this process 1) Wipes your device and the garbage causing your problems, 2) Loads a clean and bug-free version of IOS 8 to your device, and 3) restores your apps and data so that it looks just like it did before the wipe, with the exception that it works now! :-)
Note also that by following this process you don't have to go through the painful and laborious process of reloading all of your apps, data and/or settings. iCloud takes care of all of that for you.

Jan 20th Muse update causing error: "ILG graphic null or not an InlineWrapperDisplayObject?"

I have been working with this file for months and have not encountered this error until after I ran updates today. The only edits I have made to the document today (before updates) are copy changes, so assuming something in the update is causing this error. Please advise.

ITunes update causing error messages

Hi all.
This is my first time posting, please forgive any faux pas.
I installed the new update from itunes.
It would not install and told me there was a problem, but i did not write down the problem. I restarted the computer in the hope i could fix it with a tweak.
However i then received the APSDaemon.exe System error. The programme can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from the computer. Try reinstalling the programme to fix this problem.
I uninstalled iTunes, tried reinstalling but keep getting a message to check my privileges.
I have done a sfc/scannow, in command prompt in safe mode and normal mode, which is not showing any problems.
Used the MS fixit tool to completely uninstall iTunes, tried reinstalling, still the same message.
i seem to have followed all the advice advertised under the APSDaemon.exe. error messages.
Restarted, 4 more attempts and installing with the admin message. I am using the admin account to do all of this in.
It has now been 3 days since it happened and i still cannot find a cure.
I have had suggestions to plug my phone into the pc in the hope it may resolve the issue, but i am worried in case it mucks up the phone as well.
There seem to be a lot of people who have suffered the problem but most of the recommended actions have not helped resolve my issue.
( it could be me i guess).

I have spent all day working on this problem.
I have finally fixed it by myself!!
As no one responded to my plight, and in case anyone else has the same problem, here is how (i think) i sorted it.
The only way that i could reinstall iTunes successfully was to go into the control panel and under publisher uninstall each and every item that had an Apple inc. name by it.
After reinstalling it, i had to then download quicktime etc and reinstall that too.
Hopefully when i restart the computer all will be ok.
If not i will be back.

Apple TV update causing error message.

I recently did an update on my Apple TV and after performing it I'm now getting an error message that my HDMI cable needs to be connected to a HDCP port (which I presume my TV doesn't have). I can no longer watch anything on iTunes or netflix. How do I fix this?

Check that the HDMI cable is correctly seated at both ends.
Try disconnecting the cable and connecting it again.
Try another cable.
Try restarting the Apple TV
Try the Apple TV with another TV

How to remove the installed JDeveloper Update causing error

I install some webcenter available updates this morning...after restarting the JDeveloper11gR1 I am experiening error.
Can someone tell me how to remove the newly installed update so that I do not experience this errors again?

As the last resort you can rename the systemxx.x.x.x.x. folder and restart jdev again. When you are asked if you like to migrate, answer no as the error is likely to be migrated too.
If this does not help you can uninstall jdev, remove the whole installation folder and reinstall jdev.

Automatic Update causing errors

I installed an automatic update to what I thought was Adobe reader and now Adobe Pro gives me an error "A serious error has been detected and Abodbe Acrobat 8.1.0 Professional cannot contineu. Please reainstall the application and try again" any time I touch a PDF file in Win Explorer. Abode pro still works, but as long as the error message window is open I cannot copy/cut/paste files which is a HUGE annoyance.

Open Acrobat and run Help>Repair. After completing the repair, run the updates.

10.4.5 Update Causing Error -36 with LaCie Firewire External Hard drives

I have two LaCie Firewire external drives, one for extra storage and one for backups. Since the 10.4.5 update, I've been unable to copy files consistently from my external drives to my hard drive or other external drives. The disks mount, and run like normal - I have my iTunes library on one drive, and all the tracks play normally. I am able to copy very small files, but anything over a couple mb gives me an error -36. I've run disk utilities etc on the external drives and they appear to be just fine. In order to see if it's an OS problem, I hooked the external drives (in a daisy chain) to my girlfriend's ibook. She's running Jaguar still, and had no problems. So it appears that it's an OS upgrade problem. One note, I didn't disconnect the drives when I ran the upgrade, but then, I never have for upgrades, only full OS installs. Is anyone else having this problem and know of any fixes?

Backup is unable to make a restorable by Disk Utility backup. You can restore pieces of the software as outlined in my FAQ about backing up user data:

But to be able to restore a backup with Disk Utility, you need a cloning utility to have made the backup.

Yosemite update causes error 'run out of application memory'

Hi, i use a
Mid 2011, 13 inch MacBook Air with i7, 4gb ram and 66gb left on my storage (out of 256gb). Currently running OS X Yosemite 10.10, updated via Appstore 2 days ago.
Ever since the update, while carrying out usual task such as 'mail' and 'safari' concurrently, i get error message stating 'run out of application memory', the situation is even worse when i have to run excel and word at the same time.
Not sure if the new OS is taking up memory because my tasks are routine and i never had problem prior to the update.

I use a mid 2011 iMac 27", 3.4 GHz, 16GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 with 457.08 GB free and a 4Tb Thunderbolt drive as my backup and media player total contents 1.2TB.
Since I installed Yosemite and its update 10.10 my iMac takes for ever to boot up and everything has slowed to a snails pace and now I am getting this annoying "You Have Run Out of Application Memory" and you must force quit all of these application. Luckily I now have a back up for what I am working on and don't lose most of my work on projects having to force quit all of the applications that I happen to have open.
I have been using a Mac since it was a small rectangular box with a B&W CRT and I have never encountered a problem like this before with a new OS release.
This reminds me of the days when we used to go to lunch waiting for our mac's to render a project and hope it didn't crash and now its when I boot up a screaming hot machine and do my work on it.
Is there anything I can do or is this a "your stuck with it until an update fixes this or these bugs".

Blackberry update causes Error codes 30222

Received notice of important update for my BB. After install, several payware apps updates will not work. One apps, Zombie Attack, which I downloaded from Apps World and paid for the upgrade gives error code 30222 according to the apps developer. I tried reboot and clearing cache at apps world. What to do?

Pull the source code from Info-Zip.org and have a look. (It's no small tool, and figuring out where this is percolating up lilkely won't be easy.) I'd guess that the 4608 value is some random "garbage" value that's being returned for some error path that's been triggered; that code is not a valid macerrors.h error value, either.
Philosophically, this is a losing battle. Errors get added, bugs get introduced, and bugs get slain, and every so often a lower-level error percolates up somewhere. Capture the specific errors you need to deal with, and get out for the rest. If it's a zero, you're good. Otherwise, I'd suggest "Leaving, what a good idea" – print appropriate diagnostics and exit the script.
FWIW, you might get some better control by adding the files to the zip archive one at a time. Dumping out the ls -ale@ output for each file might also help when debugging, if something goes sideways.

Updates causing errors?

Hi there, im using a MBP and recently used the software update feature (within about 2months) and since then I have had problems with my WiFi connection. Also using iTunes 7 and that has started to crash when attempting playback.
Any Suggestions would be appreciated.

Just noticed when made my last post i was running 10.4.6 so somewhere between there and 10.4.8 is where the trouble began.

You need to be more specific. What kind of problems are you having with your wi-fi connection? Does the console manager show any errors when you try to do wireless stuff and/or use iTunes? If so, what do those errors say? IS there a crash log for iTunes? If so, it would help to see the log, esp. the errors that are mentioned in it.
You can use the Console which is in the Utilities folder to get at these logs.
