IOS 7.0.4 update has ruined my phone

Problems the second I update ios7.0.4 to my iPhone 5. At the beginning the phone blinked out, freeze then shutting down and reset itself. Non stop. Every five minutes freeze, blank out, then a few seconds later apple pops up. Reset the phone on computer, erased and started fresh, did not help. Finally it just quit and everything worked as normal . Was excited when I notice my battery wouldn't die. Stayed 90% all day. Then I found that was a lie. The only time my phone tells the real amount of battery is if you hard reset. Then you will see the battery life and the phone will stay at that new percent. I can tell when I'm down to 10% because the phone start to reset over and over as I use it. Once it is fully charged it will begin the same process with constant shut down until the battery dies enough and it will run normal till I hit 10% again. Can not use USB when plugging into radio because it also charges the phone which again causes it to reset itself over and over. Anyone else having this problem? Is there a solution?

Try these coupe of steps see if those help you.
1. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Netowrk settings OR Settings>General>Reset>Reset All settings.
2. Insted of updating try doing a clean restore, this slove most of the problems people are facing. Always prefer to do a clean restore rather than updating the iOS.

I have also experienced issues with my iphone5 since updating to ios 7.1.2, prior to this update my phone was working perfectly fine and I know I didnt cause any damage to the phone because I baby my iphone as if it was my child. Ever since I updated to 7.1.2 my phone shutts itself down while I am using it, it can be while using whatsapp, browsing the internet or using apps, more than anything it fails while using the internet. The screen will either start to flicker or vertical lines will pop up and then the phone will fade to black, after this happens the phone will get really hot and to turn it back on I have to wait 5-10 minutes and hold down the power and home keys at the same time for about 15 seconds for it to turn back on, I have to wait 5-10 minutes because if I dont when I boot it back up it immediately shutts down again. This is a constant all day thing and for now i get by just making phone calls and sending regular text but I try to keep the action down to a minimum to prevent missing a phone call. I tried clearing the phone and rebooting it to original setting but this didnt fix it. After reading and speaking with several techs they tell me that ios 7.1.2 rolled out some performance adjustments one particular that affects the amp levels that the battery works at and supposedly the iphone 5 cant handle it, they explained that the phone for certain activities is asking for more or less power and the phone panics into safe mode and shutts itself down. My battery life is fine so I havent changed the battery like someone had suggested. In the diagnostic data it gives a panic.ips error. Id really like to know if there is any possible way to roll back to 7.1.1 through jailbreak or any other way, I was perfectly happy with this phone and didnt plan on buying another one for atleast 1-2 more years. If anyone can help me out this would be greatly appreciated, if not I hope apple is working to fix this.

Finally got round to buying an iPhone 4, really excellent to start with. The sharing of music from my Mac Mini was excellent. ios6 update has ruined all that! The artist view miss's out most of my music and the sharing sometimes doesn't work at all!

How do I get this feature working again? I am reluctant to move to iTunes 10.7 because I don't trust Apple at the moment.

My suggestion:
1) Always using MAC AIR with the power plug in.
2)Don' let the power level of battory fall under 30% percentage.
3)If the MAC can't be recharged now, just let it be with power plugged, WAIT...

IOS 8.1.3 update has caused my iPhone 4S to die.

Does anyone have a similar experience? After setting up my phone to install iOS 8.1.3, it crashed midway through the install and asked me to plug into iTunes for a restore. This worked after many failed attempts, however the phone did not work as well as it should. After about 20 hours of use, the phone gave up and the iPhone logo is displayed. I tried a hard reset and that didn't work; I tried holding down the home button whilst plugging in the charger cable whilst connected to iTunes/computer and that didn't work. So i think my phone is well and truly kaput.

I finally managed to restore the phone back to factory settings after 24 hours of hassle. I waited until the battery was flat, and held the home button whilst plugging it into iTunes and waiting until the computer recognised the phone. This did take five attempts, but it finally has restored my phone.

IMovie 10.0.3 update has ruined all my titles

So Im filming at least one thing a day for 2014. Each day has a title which is Line Lower Third. When you type content, it shrinks to fit (well used to)
Apple decide to install an update to iMovie (April 14) and since that update, my titles on EVERY scene have lost their formatting and are now too big for the window.
Are these knobs serious??
How can I
a) Update every title in one bulk go so I dont have to do into every single one individually (I have over 200 seperate clips)
b) If I cant do (a), what the **** can I do!!!

Also no answer but am having the same problem. All my catalogueing via folders is up in smoke and no external HDs (where I would normally directly store raw footage when importing) showing up on the iMovie interface. It is a pain the arse to go back to the earlier version - why APPLE, pray tell, do you continue to lower expectations user-friendly functions. Shall try the option+open for a library but this too is extremely inconvenient if it works like iPhoto because you have to log out to log in to a new library whereas I just want to be able to see my multiple HDs directly from the iMovie menu and then the folders within folders I have layered in there - to make it easy to FIND STUFF. Wake up Apple, you are NOT meeting your customer's needs or desires.
Thanks to the posters who are helping the rest of us lost in the dark with possible solutions - free fix-its for Apple which they don't deserve.

HT4061 IOS 7.0.2 update has locked me out of phone!

Updated to IOS 7.0.2 last night before I went to bed. Woke up this morning, grabbed my phone and it's as if the touch screen is completely disabled. It looks normal, the "Slide to Unlock" button is glowing as illuminated as normal, but nothing is working. I cannot get into my phone. I can't even slide across to my lock screen from the starting screen. I can slide the little control panel screen up from the bottom but even then nothing is responding from in there either. What on earth happened in that update last night??? How do I get my phone back?

OK. I just saw a few other post like mine and got inspired.... If you can get the power-off button to work, let it power down and then power it back on. The screen should respond again. In my case, to get the power button to work, I also held the home button at the same time. Not sure if that was truly necessary but that's what I was doing at the time it turned off. It then turned back on using the power button as usual. Phew!

Latest Itunes update has ruined itunes and rendered ipod unsupported.

itunes updated and after having to go through a mess to fix it (ie) I had to delete all my apple related programs and reinstall itunes (11.1.4.62) to get it to work at all, now my ipod says "unsupported accessory is not supported". How do I fix this so that my Ipod connects to Itunes again?

Please help! Security update has ruined my PowerBook!

I just did the latest security update, and now my Powerbook is dead. When it tries to boot up, I hear the Superdrive make a whirring noise and then nothing...no startup tone or anything else. It just sits there with a black screen and makes no noise. I have powered it down several times and then turned it back on...the same thing happens. What can I do? My whole life is on this computer, I can't afford to go a day without it.

ok, i ended up taking out the ram and trying to boot. with one piece of ram in it made the chime but wouldn't boot. then i put both back in and no chime. then i started swapping the positions out but no boot. finally, i put the ram back in the original locations and it booted up perfectly fine, recognizing the full 1GB of installed ram. i am so thankful that I was at least able to back up my files. any ideas on what is going on here?

Help. iTunes update has ruined me.

I updated to the new iTunes 7.1 and now, when i plug my iPod in, it simply shuts down. You plug it in and iTunes just closes without warning, and then osx ask's you if you want to reopen it.

Before uninstalling and re-installing iTunes (no, reinstalling iTunes won't delete your library, although it's always a good idea to have a back up available), try removing the "com.apple. itunes.plist" files from the Users> home> Library> Preferences folder, after quitting iTunes.
Start up iTunes again after removing these files and re-try the iPod.

IOS7 this update has ruined my 3 month old iPhone 5

A year ago I replaced the battery in my old iPhone 4 because the usage time had lowered to around 6.5 hours (that's usage time, not standby). The new battery brought the phone back up to 'new' spec and it gave me 8.5 hours of WiFi web browsing usage time again.
Anyway, I bought a brand new iPhone 5 three months ago and the usage time for WiFi web browsing was 8.5 hours. This was perfectly acceptable. I have now updated to iOS7 and my WiFi web browsing usage time is now 6 hours. That is worse than my old iPhone 4 with a two year old battery!
Two clean installs, setting up as a new phone and switching off parallax, location services, background app refresh, app store automatic updates etc have only permitted me to achieve 6 hours of WiFi web browsing before my battery is fully drained. Now call me a cynic but is this 'update' just designed to make all the old products obsolete so that everyone upgrades to an iPhone 5S?? My phone was the Apple flagship not one week ago!

If you are in the US ,some Apple genius bars are replacing screens at this time if your local store isn't offering that service or you are not in the US there will be an out of warranty exchange unit for $229
make sure you back up everything as if you exchange your iPhone will go and the Genius bar do not provide a backup service

I cannot use my safari because it is frozen, so when the IOS 7.0.5 update has come, I immediately update my iphone 5s. The problem now, is it is stuck on the apple logo. What do I need to do to fix this?

For the safari, it is just a blank white page everytime I open it.

HT4623 Updating has cuased my phone to freeze!! Feeling VERY frustrated!!

My phone froze this morning during an update. The screen shows an itunes icon and the cable with an arrow pointing up. Have turned it iff and on with no luck in clearing up the issue. Suggestions?

KitKat update has turned my phone into a brick. It won't turn on, and I can't get it to take a charge. HELP!!

My phone went through the Kitkat update about a week ago, and since I've ran out of battery with in 8 hours of taking it off a full charge, and now today It died, and I plugged it in, well it won't charge, and i can't get it to turn on at all. My phone is a brick right now and I really just don't understand what I can't do to fix it.

Don't do the update. My phone did the update and the droid laid on his back with an X and now all I get is the red logo. cant do a factory reboot or get into the ap menu just red logo. IT BRICKED MY PHONE I have had it since they came out and have been all over the world with it, and never had a problem until KITKAT BRICKED IT.
Verizon only response is to send me a refurbished phone that I will have to spend weeks to get it set back up to the way that I had it.
I am not happy with the response for their screw up. I don't want a refurbished phone I want my good phone to work and they don't know how to fix it just replace that is the support. I have seen the post on the net and I am not the only person that this has happened to in the android community.
If you want a good paper weight than do the update and take the chance.

Just got the iphone 5s went to sync it into itunes (that's up to date 11.1) asked to update to ios7.0.1. then I let it do it's thing then a unknown error came and put the iphone into recovery mode tryed to restore phone but it keeps giving unknown error (17)
