IOS 8.0.2 download that is taking too long?
I have an iPhone 4s and downloaded iOS 8.0.2 onto my iTunes and into my phone within 2 hours. My sister has an iPhone 5 and iOS 8.0.2 has already been downloaded onto her iTunes. The only process left is to have the download completed on her phone, but that is taking much longer than the actual iOS 8 download to iTunes. The download bar on the phone has almost reached the end, but has stuck at the same place for the last hour. (This did not happen with my phone.)
I have unplugged the phone from the computer, but the download bar is still visible with the same point that has not moved a bit. How can this be fixed? How can I increase the download speed? Or do I have to patiently wait? Please help!
If you unplugged the phone from the computer, you have already interrupted the download and install process. An update via iTunes is not a Wifi update, so once it's unplugged, it is not going to start up again.
Reset the device: Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the reset is complete, the "Slide to Unlock" screen will display. Go to Settings>General>About, and see what version number is showing. If it is 8.0.2, then you should be good to go. If it is not, hook the device back up to iTunes and start the update again.

Apple shows work differently to some streaming services and don't adjust quality for a slower connection, but I appreciate it's frustrating.

I understand that you are having a problem installing the software for your 5740.
I would like to help.
The install should not take that long. In my experience, setting up the printer for out of the box to finish, should be 20 minutes to half an hour.
So that I may better assist you i would like to clarify something.
What is taking a long time?
Is it the actual installation, or are you downloading the software from HP.com, and that is what is taking so long?

Software download for appletv taking too long!
How long should a software upgrade take for appletv. Currently saying 11hrs and my Internet broadband is ver good!.
But they don't pass through the computer.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. -

We started with Etbin's idea to create a table from the ext table so that we can index and reference easier than an external table, so we did the following:

Network event is taking too long (100%)
Hi everybody. We have a 10g DB on Windows. We're using OEM to manage the DB, and it has started to show an alert about database time spend waiting for "Network" event. It arises when we execute one module that updates several tables, that is taking too long. Before we had this app on 8i, also on Windows, and that operation was much more faster than now. The indexes on tables are valid, and I've gathered statistics for the CBO, so I suppose the problem is, as the OEM says, related with network, but I don't know why, because the connection speed is the same tan before, and the two machines are in the same LAN.
Any ideas??Here is the output requested:

MGP Tuning: MGP Processing taking too long
Hi All,
I have question here related to MGP Processing. MGP Processing is taking too long for us, close to 900 secs. Is there a way to tune and optimize this MGP Process. Right now we have only 3 users syncing and this kind of delay in Sync for users in testing Envt is not acceptable to the client. Is there a way to tune this MGP Process. I am aware of the Consperf process. Should I be running the Consperf for all the publication items to optimize their Sync process or should it be only for those publication items that are taking too long in the Compose/Apply process.

We have the mobile server on dedicated machine, which is quite old piece of HW. I presume that it should have just some amount of RAM available for caching of MGP data and that it shouldn't be CPU-power consuming much - is that right? At the monent the compose phase of MGP takes some 25-30 seconds per user when there's some new data to process... -

ive been trying to download for hours now and its taking too long, i have places to go but i dont want to leave the wifi area if it will harm my iphone and the ios7 software isn't finished downloading...
I think you can stop the download without any harm coming to your phone. But if it is actually installing and not just downloading, I would let it finish.

It should not take so long.
Try reset iPad and work from there.
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

Regarding iPhoto '11 9.5 (902.7 build running on an older Intel based MacBook Pro with iPhoto libraries on a USB2 External HD). I am dealing with iPhoto taking too long to download photos. Specifically, I rechecked and repaired HD permissions. I am running the most current software my five year old Intel MacBook Pro can run. What happens is that when I connect an external SD card, or my iPhone, the new version of iPhoto takes up to two full minutes to fully acknowledge the device. Then locate new photos and be ready to download them to my external HD. I am kind of concerned about this. This has never happened before.
I take 20,000 photos a year. I really don't want to lose any. Or is there something I am doing wrong? Or need to be aware of? Any experienced suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. Have a great day.

I thought I checked and repaired disk permissions on my main boot HD. That boot disk is Mac OS Extended (Journaled) Capacity 749.3 GB. Available 562.53 GB. BUT.... now that I think of it.... the Seagate external HD with USB2 interface is: Mac OS Extended (Journaled), Capacity 639.79 GB, Available 36.2 GB with my latest iPhoto Library 517.37 GB that was already scanned & updated to be read by the latest iPhoto version.
I'll try your suggestions tonight as far as double checking 'permissions' and setting up a tiny test library.
Or maybe it's time to fill up another External HD?
I appreciate your and anyone else's suggestions to try.

My iPod was updating to iOS 6 and i shut it off during the update because it was taking too long and now my screen in baby blue i've tried to drain the battery but when i plugged it in to charge the blue screen came back on.I dont know what to do
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
