IOS Still Sending ICMPs even with ACL on
I tried to stop Cisco IOS from sending any ICMP unreachables. With the following config, IOS still sends an ICMP "Destination Unreachable" Communication Administratively Filtered" When I try to ping the router from over the internet, or access a blocked port Here is my config:

The easiest way to prevent your router from sending ICMP unreachable would be to disable it on your interface:
router#conf trouter(config)#interface GigabitEthernet0router(config-if)#no ip unreachables router(config-if)#
The ACL you've pasted in your message should also block those messages but it is easier not to generate them at all.

Hi,
A friend bought an iPod in place of his CD player so he could shuffle lots of songs.
The song volumes are inconsistent from song to song... sometimes too soft, sometimes too loud... even with "sound check" on...
What is wrong? What should he try? It's worse than his CD player so he says...

Safari, Still accepts cookies even with setting set to NEVER
I cant understand, in Safari settings, I have set NEVER to accept cookies, and yet they still come in like clock work....tons of them...help anyone...
what up, anyone know.If you serach the forums for issues with Safari cookies, you will see thousands of threads for the same subject.
If you really want to control cookies, you'd be better off using another browser like Firefox
Good idea to have a backup browser installed regardless in case you have problems with Safari.

Can still hear sounds even with the headphones plugged in.
When I plug my earpiece in you can still hear it. Its not the earpiece cause I've tried a few.
First thing to consider is whether you have the plug all the way in. When new, it can be a little bit of a tight fit and fairly easy to not have it fully engaged.

this still didn't fix iPad connectivity after updating to iOS 6.0.1 !!! intermittent wi-fi connection, even with a direct line-of-sight to the router.Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I know Imessaging between IOS 5 devices is free, but when sending group texts to both IOS 5 phones and nonIOS 5 phones, is it still free to those with IOS 5? The text bubble is green.
According to Macworld it is a lowest common denominator situation. If any of the people on your list are not iMessage people then all the messages go out SMS and will count against your messages from your provider. Bummer IMHO, but that is the way it is.

Siri still not working in canada even with ios 5.1
It appears that Siri still does not give directions etc in canada even with the new 5.1 release. When can I expect the service to be working fully?
I paid a lot of money for this device to not function fully.

However what many of you don't realize when you chastize someone like this is... Sometimes we are lead down the garden path by mobile phone providers. We don't all buy our phones from the manufacturer and as such are sometimes told what we want to hear to get that sale.
I would expect SIRI likely to be out of beta when the iPhone 5 starts to ship however. Whenever that will be... -
I have 4 email accounts in apple Mail. My mail is sending from the wrong account. even on "reply" it sends from a different account. I have 3 gmail accounts and one exchange server account. I choose which account to send from and it still sends from the same gmail account. Help.
I HAD two accounts because of this problem. I completely removed the problem account from the Apple Mail client. Guess what is happening?? That's right - Mail is still sending from the other account that no longer exists on my computer, and I have absolutely no idea how this is happening. This is incredibly frustrating. When a recipient chooses to reply to my message, quite often I won't get it now because it is going to the other account that has now been deleted from my system. COME ON APPLE!!! WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THIS???

iPhone 5 with iOS 8.1.2 stopped receiving mail yesterday. Have yahoo email account. Can still send emails. Have turned device off/on. Have done the dual off/on thing using top button and menu button. Issue seems to be only with main inbox, as sub folders are receiving mail. Other Apple device is not having issues like this, just on iPhone.

Your issue is with the Yahoo email account which is notoriously bad.
you can try deleting and reinstalling the email account.
If that doesn't fix it try the yahoo email app. -
Why can I not attach a document to an email? Every time I want to send an email with a document attached to it, an error notice pops out. It tells me that the file is being used even when iall other programs are closed. How can I fix this issue?
Thanks Jeff, I was not aware that a template could be multi-page. (All the existing templates were 1 page)
But it worked, saving me some steps. When I was finished I renamed the document, and locked it.
Then tried to save it but could not because it was locked. I closed it, went to my Spread Sheet Folder ,
to find it, it was not there. The Finder could not find it either.
So I start over again.
I opened up Numbers and it showed my personal Numbers template folder, it contained both my new
original 4 page template and the vanished saved document!
I tried to delete the template containing these document data and could not - I had to go to the Library/Application Support/Numbers to physically remove it from this folder. Then I started over again. I Finally found out how to make it work: I can now "save as", and then lock, and it will go to place where I want it to be saved and locked.
The secret is: Click on the document title in the menu bar, and it opens up "Save as...", which works the same as in OS 10.4.11, and you can pick the place you want for saving. Once done that, you can then lock the document in the same pull down menu, and then close it.
I also found later that I can delete a template from its folder, by letting Numbers open the templates,
clicking on the one I want to remove, then go to the "Numbers Menu/File/Move to...", select "Desktop"
and from there the selected template can then be thrown into the Trash from there.
It appears now that the real fault of the Numbers software is that the "Save as" command is not available in the "Edit" or "File" pull-down menus, but hidden behind the title of the document. -
Even with 3 signal bars on a 11mb/s connection. It takes more then 3 mintues to load Google fully!
It works fine loading one page then goes back to being slow or no excitant. It seems to start working again after using speed test.
At first i thought it was the case but after removing it there was no difference
I have tried every thing i could think like:
1. Turing it off and on again
2. A complete restore and backup. (Done this about 3 times)
I'm not sure if the new iOS 6.0.1 up date has caused this as it seemed to work fine for about a week after.

I saw another topic on this but it was a couple of months old. Last month I purchased a ipod touch 5g. It runs great except the speedtest tops out at about .3 mbps down and 5 mbps up. I don't understand what is going on. All my other wifi: Macs, ipod touch 4, ipad 2 & 3, etc work fine and get great speed of 9-15 mbps down and 5 mbps up. I can barely watch an Amazon video. Sometimes it goes fast but that is few and far between. I have tried resetting the network on it. I adusted my router for all the recomendations by Apple.
It was suggested to remove the security on the router just to test it. I did that but it made no difference. This happens whether I'm close (10' or less) or farther away. Is there something I'm missing or do I need to return it?
I keep seeing something about iOS 6.0.2 but my iPod Touch says I'm up to date at 6.0.1

MacBook pro still won't back up, not even with a cable.
I backed up my G4 tower wirelessly. I backed up my G4 Powerbook using an ethernet cable to the Timecapsule LAN port. (Of course now that I've upgraded to 10.5.2 neither of their airport cards works anymore. No fix for that so far.)
But the MacBook Pro still won't back up. Not even with a cable. I've tried using the cable to the Timecapsule's LAN port. Nothing. I've tried connecting to the Timecapsule's ethernet port. Nothing.
In fact, when I go into network preferences....ethernet is not even an option for connecting to anything. My choices are: Airport, Bluetooth and Firewire.
Exactly how am I supposed to back up my MacBook Pro? It won't do it wirelessly and I can't do it with an ethernet cable either.
Timecapsule POS!Hmm...let me see if I can help you. In your Network preference pane, click on the '+'. Then select Ethernet from the drop down menu. After you click OK, you should be able to configure the ethernet interface to connect to your TC. After that, you should be able to connect to it with the your ethernet cable.
As far as your not being able to use your MBP's airport, I'm not certain what that particular problem is - I haven't had any problems with my TC and this MBP that I'm using (indeed, my problem is connecting wireless with my PB G4 (with WPA that is, it'll work using WEP)).

However, I could not get it to work with Apple loaded with Yosemite even with reader installed . Is there a way i can make it work for apple / Mac?
