According to Macworld it is a lowest common denominator situation. If any of the people on your list are not iMessage people then all the messages go out SMS and will count against your messages from your provider. Bummer IMHO, but that is the way it is.

If I go to icloud.com on Safari on the ipad, it takes me to a instruction page which only says to complete icloud in Settings.

to transfer audio to an airport express the device needs to support airplay unless your samsung tv's manual clearly state it does support it then it don't
appletv can't get audio input into it the optical connector is output only same with the hdmi port

I Have followed these steps, and tried others, such as resetting all my network settings. At best these only temporarily fix the problem - wifi still becomes slow or stops. I have other Apple devices connecting fine to my airport express. why is my iPad mini not working? Is it related to the fact it is 3G and I don't have a sim card installed? That's because you're using the same Apple ID on both devices. On your phone: Settings>FaceTime>You Can Be Reached at>Remove your Apple ID.
