/28 means 4 bits host part a maximum of 14 hosts in the subnet
the broadcast is 1 less the next /28 subnet
the base address is made of all zeros
the addresses in the middle are for the hosts
base address 192.168.136.192

The video may be a Flash video. Adobe has not made, and will not make, Flash for mobile devices including the iPad. So you may not ever be able to view the video.

Sorry to here, i have my 4th Shuffle in a year time so best in that situation is to go to serveice and let them send you a new one. I must say that's the best part of the IPOD, the service

New printer Apple AirPrint - I'm lost, can someone help please, thanks!

Hi, I've just bought an Laser Printer HP1606pn, specifically so that I can print from an ipad, iphone and Mac. I believe that eprint is a new function for this printer but I can't work out what to do as there don't seem to be any specific instructions.
At the moment, I have it set up to work on Windows 7 with a USB cable; however, I haven't a clue what to do to get the Apple products working with it. Can someone help please?

Hi there Liz2,
Here are the steps you'll need.
1. Airprint works on wireless or networked printers. Your printer is network capable - meaning, you can plug in a cat-5 ethernet cable from the printer to your home router, and then Apple devices will be to wirelessly connect to it.
2. Once you have it connect to the router, you'll need to update the firmware inside the printer, to enable it's eprint and airprint features.

Xbox 360 and apple airport ip address HELP PLEASE!

hey i just got an xbox 360 and i got the wireless internet adapter than microsoft makes to pick up my wireless internet. I have an ADSL ethernet modem that is plugged into my Airport, which is streaming in my house. So on my xbox i got the test for the wireless connection to work. then the test for the IP address failed. I have looked online to find the IP address, but i dont know which one i need (of the computer? the airport? the modem box?) and the subnet mask, and gateway, and the DNS numbers. can anyone help please? i have mac os X if that helps

i think that's what i mean. sorry im so confusing. i have a mac laptop, which is connected to my wireless network at home, which is an apple airport (you know the little white box that plugs into the electrical outlet) which is also plugged into an ADSL ethernet modem box from US Robotics (which is my cable internet). so then i will be able to find the IP of the airport where? network settings? and last thing, if that is the gateway for the xbox, what is the subnet mask, and the actual ip address of the xbox?
also, if this helps, when i look at Network, under System preferences, Airport is the network, and under TCP/IP it says that the IP Address is 10.0.1.2, the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, and the Router is 10.0.1.1

In the article Resolve iOS update and restore errors this is what it says about error 14:
Check your USB connections
Related errors: 13, 14, 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, 1604, 1611, 1643-1650, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009, 4005, 4013, 4014, or “invalid response."
If the USB connection between your device and computer is interrupted, you may be unable to update or restore.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use the USB cable that came with your device, or a different Apple USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port directly on your computer. Don't plug it into your keyboard.
Try a different computer.
If necessary, resolve any further issues with the USB connection, then with your security software.
If you're still seeing the error message, check for hardware issues by following the next section.

Did you check the outgoing mail server setting? Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

N8 Help please - Thank You

Help required please. I have configured my N8 to my AOL internet at home. When I received any emails on my laptop my N8 mobile gave me an alert tone and I could go into mail and access them immediately and read them, perfect.
Now last night I had a text either from Nokia or vodafone saying to stop receiving messages to text "stop" to 66060 which I did, ( I thought this was just to stop advetising emails) but now email messages are not coming through onto my mobile. Can any kind person tell me how to reinstate this facility so emails also come automatically to my N8 when they are sent to my laptop which they did do up until I sent that blinking text.

I had to rebuild the file from scratch in order to export the pdf, and the hotspots line up accurately to their originally location drawn on fireworks.
This may have occurred because I began the document with a canvas size of portrait letter, but changed the canvas size later to landscape letter, and although everything looked well and fine, the export was still triggering the old referential data in the file.

The option to start in 32-bit mode is available in Safari. But Firefox 12.0 doesn't seem to even have it. Is it possible to upload an earlier version of Firefox? I need to be able to do this, the inability is actually interfering with work that I do to earn my living, so time is of the essence. Thanks for any help/guidance the community can offer.

for some reason when i type in the URL without using the www (just youcaptured.com) I get directed to my site however the video content in player wont play.
But when I go directly to www.youcaptured.com the video content plays perfectly.
Please please and suggestions

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. The video biographies play for me when I just put in youcaptured.com. I'm using the ClickToFlash.plugin with Safari 4b so I have to click on any flash item twice to get it to play. But they all play for me.
