IPad and iPhones both getting Messages
My daughter has an iPad mini she just got for Christmas. My husband, my son, and I all have iPhones. Recently my daughter tried to log into Messages which came with the iPad. Those of us with iPhones all got a message saying that someone just tried logging in. My son got annoyed and is concerned that my daughter can now see all his messages. Well, that doesn't seem right. Do we all need separate accounts or something? How would I do that?

Hi Guys - for a few days I have been having problems downloading and updating apps on my iPad and iPhone. The message cycles between waiting and downloading then eventually says unable to download app. Sometimes after many attempts it wil eventually work. I tested it on an old iPhone 3G and got the same problem so it is not an iOS 5 issue. My WI-FI connection is working fine. I was wondering if this is an App Store problem? Hi I am having trouble with iMessage on the mac book pro, it doesnt sync with the ipad and iPhone, both the ipad and iPhone do but not on the mac book pro , has anyone any suggestions, thanks in advance
First, make sure that all your devices are using the same Apple ID in iMessages including your Mac. Second, your messages that you've already started on your devices will not show up on your Mac - only ones that you start from now on will show up. Third, if you're still not syncing accross all devices, make sure you read the directions on the first page of this thread. It should work after performing those steps. Good luck!

I have set up all the iCloud on my iPad and iPhone both are the latest version but they don't seem to sinc with each other does this take some time? I am connected to the Internet via wifi do I need to turn the mobile data to on on both maybe??

You need to turn the services you want to sync (calendars, contacts etc) on on both devices from settings > iCloud. -
my MacBook Air keeps asking me for my YAHOO password; which when correctly entered will not allow me into the account. iPad and iPhone both working on the same password.
I've got automatic downloads turned off and I tried signing out and in via the settings and still keeps asking me for an apple id.
It doesn't do it continuously, it'll just pop up randomly ... if the phone is just sitting there it may ask for my apple id and regardless of whether I press cancel or enter my password nothing happens .. it may be another 2mins, 5mins, 15mins but eventually it'll just randomly pop up and ask me again. It does accept my password though because I tried entering an incorrect password to see what happens and it gives me the error saying it's incorrect, so when I enter the correct one in the box disappears and it accepts it as I say, but only for so long before it pops up again. -
My iPad and iPhone screens suddenly began toggling back and forth between the Home screen and the apple icon. I can't even get into the system to reboot and iTunes won't recognize it. I've heard there is a Device Recovery Mode for over-coming this. But how do you do it?

How to get pages docs created on a macpro to show up on iPad and iPhone both with ios5
Yesterday (October 19, 2011) I updated to the latest OS's and pages app on my macpro and ipad2 and iphone3gs. When I create a pages doc on the macpro and save it I do not see it appear on the ipad2 and iphone3gs at all including within the pages docs window. Yet my iCalendar updates beautifully across all three devices. My question is what are the steps to get a pages doc created on a macpro to "automatically" become available and thereon update automatically in pages on my ipad and iphone?
on Mac OS X there is no icloud enabled apps at this time. iWork09 for Mac wont sync your data to iCloud.
To get documents to the cloud and thus to your IOS5 devices you need to visit www.icloud.com/iwork and manually upload your files ( or use drag and drop from Mac Desktop to the browser ).
This is no joke. Spreaded all over this support forums you find people that wondered how to do it until it was found out that iwork syncing is only enabled on iOS but not on OSX. -
My iPad and iphone both can't connect to my network. why?
both iPad and iPhone fail to connect to my n etwork. they both 'see' it and ask for password but when i put this in they say they cant connect.Why?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

These last few days I found difficulties to open website on my ipad through safari. It was started when I tried to open facebook. There was a pop up message asking me to update my flash player. As per my understanding there is no flash player installed or used on my ipad. Please help to explain what is happening with my browser and what should I do since I can't use my browser right now. Thanks.
Use the Facebook app instead of trying to open Facebook in Safari.
Adobe has not made a version of Flash for the iPad.

My Ipad and Iphone are both in a mixture of english and german. I have tried changing settings by going to international and setting the language to english and the region to the US. It did not change. I then turned the phone off completely and then resetting. It did not change. Can someone please help?
Where are you seeing German ? If it's the two stores (iTunes and the App Store) then as far as I know they can't be changed - they will be in the language of the country where your account is based (if they aren't correct then try logging out of your account by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in).

How do I sync iPad and iPhone without getting all the iPad apps on the phone
iPhone 4 tried to download all the iPad apps when syncing today. But of course overloaded the phones capacity.
After deleting from the phone and syncing they were all reaload to the phone again.
After disconnecting, went into iTunes, selected iPhone and when I selected one app to delete I got the message that this app would then be deleted off all devices. I would have thought that the iPad and iPhone options at the top of itunes window would highlight apps for each device especially as the two lists are not the same.How do I keep iPads apps on the iPad And iPhone apps on the iPhone?

Select what is desired to sync and sync.
Eject the device.
Connect second device to iTunes.
Select what is desired to sync and sync.
iTunes will remember what to sync to each device based on the device name/id.
Be certain to uncheck the option to automatically sync new apps with each device connected. -
Does anyone have the same problem? I want to get text notifications on my iPad like I do my iPhone but I do not. I have both iMessages turned on and have tried restarting both apps and resyncing to my computer
To get them on your iPad the sender will have to direct the message to your Apple ID and not your phone number.

Your post says you have an iPhone 3G. Is it running iOS 4.2.1, which is the latest iOS it can run? Even if so, it's now quite old (nearly five years). That could be part of the problem.
Anyway, maybe you should delete your mail account (Settings >> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -- if it was still called that back in the iOS 4.2.1 days), and start over.
