IPad GoDaddy email question

After the recent update, my boss' iPad popped all 8,000 emails to the device. Is there a reasonably quick fix or do I have to take it home and delete them while watching movies? Thanks! (I've already changed his GoDaddy setting to delete emails after a time certain...sigh...)

Also, what are Orange Freeserve settings on the mail server with regard to how many days to 'leave a copy of themessage on the server' and 'delete after xxxx days'? If it is not readily avilable on your Mac mail management pogramme You should be able to ascertain them by going into your account via the web.

Because the email account is a POP account. If a received message is not removed from the server after being downloaded by one email client regardless if deleted from the email client, the message will be downloaded as a new/unread message by another email client.
A POP account is from the early dark ages for email account access with an email client when the overwhelming majority had access to a single computer only. Although it is possible to access a POP account with more than one email client, a POP account is designed to be accessed with a single email client only.
No such problem with an IMAP account which is designed for this.

Ipad 3 email question

Hi, I bought a 3rd generation Ipad last week and set up an Orange Freeserve Pop Email account. All was well for a couple of days but then emails still downloaded but with the message 'This message has not been downloaded from the server'. I have the same account on my macbook pro and all is ok there.
Any ideas?

What is the best way to add my godaddy email to my ipad air? Imap and exchange don't seem to be working.

Contact your exchange account administrator, they should be able to fix this for you.

Godaddy email send problem

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but my godaddy email account cannot send emails from my iPad. I set it up the same way as my iphone and it think it worked initially but now, I've tried so many different variations of smtpout.secureserver.net. I called Godaddy's helpdesk and they told me to turn off SSL and use ports 80 or 25 or 3535. None of which has worked for me. Please help!

Update: Problem solved.
I'm not a techie by any means but I finally figured out the answer that somehow no one has posted before. I initially tried to setup my godaddy email on my ipad like the way it's setup on my iphone. I could receive emails but could not send. Because I have AT&T as my iphone provider, I have cwmx.com as my alternative outgoing mail server. That won't work with my ipad because emails from my ipad doesn't go through AT&T wireless. My home internet provider is Comcast. As an alternative SMPT server, I used Comcast's SMTP server: smtp.comcast.net. No user name, no password, SSL on, authentication password, server port 25.
I found my ISP provider SMTP server info on this page: http://www.host45.com/resources/ispsmtps.php
I think Apple can help future ipad users to better understand how email flows out of their devices and it really depends on your wifi/internet provider too.

I apologize! I should have added that I've already seen that solution on the GoDaddy Site, and it is completely unhelpfull!!!
I already know how to do that, but the emails i want to backup contain sensitive Client info, and I DO NOT want it stored on some other server. The Key words in my question were TO A HARD DRIVE. Thanks much anyway. :-)

If you are using different Apple IDs for each device, this implies that you have different accounts on each. Unfortunately you cannot merge accounts or transfer content between them.
If all you wish to do is to use the account that you use on your MacBook Pro for your iPad, then you need to delete or sign out of your iTunes & app stores App on your iPad and then login again with your other account details. Obviously you will then no longer be able to use the purchases you have made from the account you have logged out of.

Do you happen to have an Android? If so and depending on what version there is a great data usage analyse tool built-in. See if you can go to Settings -> Data Usage from there you can pick a current or previous billing cycle and then use the vertical sliders to select a date range and it will filter the usage data per app to show you exactly what app(s) were using data during that time frame.

Use iPad to Email digital recordings from SD Card

I would like to use my ipad to email digital recording from an SD Card. I have the Camera Kit SD card and USB connectors but there does not appear to be an app that is avilable to gain access to the audio files on the SD card.

I don't think there is one. The CCK and photos app is only programmed to 'see' photo and video files. ANd these files have to be in a DCIM folder and given a name of 8 characters only.

IPad weird email syncing issue

Hi guys,
On my iPad, my email shows up for a few seconds and in the upper corner you can see it connecting to the server. After it is done connecting, all the emails are removed from the screen.
This is an Exchange mail account and it's working fine in my iPhone 3GS.
Any clues?

One more thing, when the sync first failed, I got a message saying there wasn't enough memory by 4.8 GB, even though there should have been over 32 GB of free space. The same message appeard during this afternoon's sync failure as well.

Help! Godaddy email on Android smartphone

HELP please! Just replaced my Droid Razr with a Motorola MOTO phone. I have Godaddy email with POP server, and it's worked great for the two years I had the Razr. Now with the new phone I have a major problem. Even though the setup option about deleting from the server is set to Never, it is still deleting from the server. This can't happen - I need the email to stay on my computer but delete from my device. I've called Godaddy twice and they couldn't fix the problem - "It shouldn't do that." Any ideas? I've already deleted the account and re-created it twice. I've powered off and back on. Nothing has worked so far.

As long as your phone is set up to use the Internet via the 3g network it should do it automatically when you are outwith a wireless connection.
