Recently bought an ipad mini 16gb wifi only (white) after two days of use i've noticed when im about to unlock the device , the entire bottom of the screen shows this weird glitch , it only stays for a couple secounds and happens completely at random .. should i get it replaced or could it be software related

If you are seeing something weird at the bottom of the screen after you tap the sleep button or the home button - but before you slide the unlock slider bar - try rebooting the iPad and see if that makes it go away.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
But since the iPad is only two days old, I would only wait another day or two, before I would take it back to the store and show them what the iPad is doing, if this continues.

I have purchased a iPad mini online from the Apple store. Since day one I had 2 issues with it. First is that the battery life doesn't last more than 5-6h active usage, and the second one is with the wi-fi. It works properly but after I leave it for a while in sleep mode and try to reuse it, it doesn't want to open a web page or app store or mail (anything connected with the internet search) but it shows that is properly connected with my home network. So I have to turn off the wi-fi connection and turn it on again so it start to work properly. After couple off days this becomed very annoying so I contacted the support via phone and they gave me instructions for return it and that I'll receive a new one without aditional fee. I get the second device in the predicted time but again I have the same issues with the wi-fi and battery life. I will be pleased if someone from the Apple expert team explaine to me what should I do, because I dont find it for normal what is happening. On the Apple official site under the specifications for iPad mini it says that the battery lasts for at least 10h and the wi-fi problem isn't mentioned anywhere. Thanks in advance.

If you want someone from Apple to explain what you should do make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one near you and take your iPad there and talk to Apple. If apple announces a new version of a product you just purchased but won't actually release it for more than 14 days, how can you possibly exchange the one you just bought? Is my only option to return the one I bought on the 10th (so return by 10/24) and then not have an iPad until the new one is available for purchase? Or would it make any sense to return the one I bought, get a new one, which would presumably have another 14 day return window, and then exchange THAT one for the new ipad mini w/ retina when it comes out (hopefully within that second 14 day window)?

Call the apple store you got it from and ask them. Sometimes in the past they've extended the 'no questions asked return' but only Apple can tell you for sure.

Have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Hi..I've had a variant of this problem; my internet was accessible but my devices on wifi could not see the PC on Lan. That meant no iTunes syncing, Airplay from iTunes etc.
Dlink has a strange default setting that isolates Wifi & Wired connections into different subnets.I'm assuming you have DHCP setup on your router and you're PC or MAC has internet access via the same router. Try the following steps to see if this solves the problem for you-
1. Go to Setup -> Local Network and Uncheck the box that says 'Configure the second IP Address and Subnet Mask for LAN' - Hit Apply
2. Go to Wireless -> Wireless Basic and Uncheck 'Enable MultiAP Isolation' - Hit Apply
3. Restart your Router
Let me know if this solves your problem. I've been frustrated by my problem for months & had nearly given up.

I am very disappointed (yet I somewhat understand) Apple and how they completely have no interest in helping return lost items. I don't believe the person who traded me this was from around here so I don't even know where to begin. I seen on ebay you can sell them for parts but I don't really believe in doing that and would like to at least try my best to get it back to whom it belongs to. I will be contacting my local police department regarding this but I don't think they will be able to do much if it was stolen from somewhere else. However if nobody claims it in 90 days and I have a letter from my local police station saying I am the new owner, will that be enough for apple to unhold their policy of proving the item belongs to you?

My Ipad Mini Keeps Closing Apps and Returning back to the Home Screen?

Hi,
I bought an ipad mini at the beginning of December and i have had problems with it ever since.
For some reason i could be in the middle of doing something (doesnt matter what app or what i'm doing) and it will just shut down and return to the home screen so i then have to open the app again?
Its quite frustrating and i have searched the web high and low for other similar problems but i cannot find anything.
I am using the ios 6.0.2.

What TC do you have? Model number direct from the base is a big help, it will be A1 followed by 3 numbers.. eg
A1409 Gen 4.. The new AC is A1470
How is it setup?
I need the whole network setup. what modem/router, how is the TC connected etc??
I also need to know what IP the ipod gets, so I can see what mode the TC or network router is working in.
