IPCC Script to call my own VXML Server not a Cisco VXML Server
CVP Call Server 4.02
CVP VXML Server 4.02
ICM 7.2.3
Comprehensive Call Flow
I want to execute an ICM script to get a VXML document from my own web server (Microsoft IIS) instead of the Cisco VXML Server.
In other words, I need to execute a microapplication that call to:
http://10.10.0.242:8080/vxmlserver/default.aspx
I configure that as follow:
1)In the ICM Script, first Set the media_server ECC Variable to "http://MY-IIS-SERVER/vxmlserver"
2)Set the app_media_lib ECC Variable to ".."
3) Set user.microapp.ToExtVXML[0] ECC variable to "application=HelloWorld"
(in my case this is not neccesary, but I did it)
4)Set the UseVXMLParams ECC Variable to "N"
5) Create a VRU Script with VRU Script Name = "GS,default.aspx,V"
I run this VRU script in the ICM Script but I did not get the HTTP Request on my server and the script fail in the last step (Run External Script)
The documentation says:
"Finally, open the CVP Application Administrator on the Application Server and select the âAllow
External VXMLâ checkbox on the EngineConfiguration screen."
But I did not find that checkbox in my CVP Console Manager (probably my version is different)
Any clues?
thank you in advance
marcelo
Hi Chris:
Thank you for your response.
You are right the variable was truncated at 40 characters. But listen...
I want the Application Server reach the following URL:
http://10.10.0.242:8080/vxmlserver/default.aspx
In the ICM script, I set:
user.microapp.media_server="http://10.10.0.242:8080/vxmlserver"
user.microapp.app_media_lib = ".."
user.microapp.local="en-us" (I did not modify this ECC variable)
And finally set the RunScript Node to:
GS,default.aspx,V
Well, this would conform the URL as follow:
http://10.10.0.242:8080/vxmlserver/en-us/../default.aspx
But, the CVP log, give me the following error:
CVP_4_0_IVR-3-CALL_ERROR: RunScript Error from 192.168.31.10 [SEMANTIC(10)] CALLGUID: EA0C581B-85CB11DD-84CFBADF-12D5E68D DNIS=919944 {VRUScriptName: 'GS,default.aspx,V' ConfigParam: ''}
Now, if I set the RunScript Node to:
GS,Default.aspx,V
(all the same but the letter D of Default in uppercase)
IT WORKS!!!! The CVP Log says:
External VXML located at http://10.10.0.242:8080/vxmlserver/en-us/../Default.aspx
INCREDIBLE.
Now, I have another issue:
I want to pass a VXML variable to my vxml server.
I set:
user.microapp.ToExtVXML[0]="var=hello"
and
user.microapp.UseVXMLParams="N"
I suppose the variable "var=hello" is send as part of the URL query string i.e.
http://10.10.0.242:8080/vxmlserver/en-us/../Default.aspx?var=hello
But I have nothing in the query string.
I change the attribute variable to persistent but nothing happen.
What am I doing wrong?
thanks in advance.

Ipcc script - redirect calls from group on agents make busy
IPCC 7.01
- customer would like to have calls redirected out of the que if there are agents logged in, but are in make busy. [with no agents available to take calls]
I am redirecting calls when all agents are logged out - but wasn't sure how to accomplish this if the only logged in agent is in make busy.
I know they should be logging out - but they want this as a safe guard.the issue they have is not all agents are logging out at the end of the shift, and leaving the agent ID in manual make busy. So, what is happening is the que ends up with an agent logged in - that is left in make busy, and a call will que to a group when there isn't anyone there. [I realize this is really a management problem]
So, my question is - in scripting, can the ipcc redirect the call if there are only agents logged in that are in the agent make busy state?
If the script cannot determine the difference between agent make busy [done via softkey], and an agent actually on a call [therefoer they are busy] - then yes this would never work. -
Distributed transaction using linked server not working in SQL Server 2008 64 bit
Hi. I have had an issue trying to get distributed transactions to work in SQL Server 2008 using a linked server. The error message I get is
OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI10" for linked server "pod1" returned message "No transaction is active.".
Msg 7391, Level 16, State 2, Line 3
The operation could not be performed because OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI10" for linked server "pod1" was unable to begin a distributed transaction.
My Environment:
Windows Server 2008 Enterprise 64 bit, SQL Server 2008 Enterprise 64 bit
Problem occurs with multiple different builds of SQL Server 2008 - I have been able to reproduce the problem with 10.0.1600.0, 10.0.1779.0 (CU 2), as well as 10.0.2531 (SP1)
I am aware that other people have had this issue and have reviewed all existing posts. I have verified that the MSDTC is configured correctly on both machines. I have also used DTCTester to verify that DTC is working correctly on all machines in question.
None of the mentioned resolutions has solved this problem for me.
I am not seeing this problem occur on my 32 bit test machines - it is only occurring if at least one of the two machines is 64 bit.Hi All,
I realise that this topic may be a little bit out-of-date but if someone gets here from some search engine trying to find a solution for DTC problems, this MAY be useful.
So... I recently had the same issue, tried all the approaches described in KB and other articles, but it didn't help. Because my task to solve this was not of the highest priority I forgot about it for some time.
Today I was troubleshooting some other issue and, by accident discovered source of that first problem:
In the EventViewer I found Error entry logged by MSDTC saying:
"The local MS DTC detected that the MS DTC on vm-server1 (other machine name that also runs DTC - my comment) has the same unique identity as the local MS DTC. This means that the two MS DTC will not be able to communicate
with each other. This problem typically occurs if one of the systems were cloned using unsupported cloning tools. MS DTC requires that the systems be cloned using supported cloning tools such as SYSPREP. Running 'msdtc -uninstall' and then 'msdtc -install'
from the command prompt will fix the problem. Note: Running 'msdtc -uninstall' will result in the system losing all MS DTC configuration information."
So I followed suggestion and run:
msdtc -uninstall
msdtc -install
This solved my problems with DTC. Hope it will help someone.

Applescript script being called for new mail does not recognise MessageID
I have come across the same issue referred to in a previous message in this forum (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=926080) but it does not go the extra step that I need.
I need a script that will run on incoming mail messages and be able to create a text file with a completely unique name. I found that using the message subject and the receive date was not sufficient as I occasionally get messages that would create duplicates (and hence loose all but the last message). I tried to add in the MessageID value into the text file name but it would appear (based on the referenced previous posting) that the MessageID is not actually assigned at the time the script is triggered (but is if the script is run after the message is visible in the InBox).
Is there another unique value that I could use (such as MessageID) that IS available on an incoming message?
Thanks
SusanThank you for the suggestion. I actually did have the date/time down to the second, but the speed with which the web site that generates these mails works (I am looking for work and extracting the job listing for further processing), especially if there are only a few jobs, means I can get emails that have the same timestamp to the second. I thought that this would be enough but when I saw 2 emails in my inbox and then say only one file in the extract folder, I investigated further and found that the timestamp was not sufficient.
I also owe you all an apology in that I realised after I found the original message and posted this one, that it was the Tiger forum, whereas I'm running Leopard. Therefore I cross-posted my message and referenced this one form the other forum but not vice versa.
Anyway, the solution turns out to be to use
set UniqueName to do shell script "uuidgen"
as provided in http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=9512884.

AddressBook server not working in Lion Server
Clean install on Mac Mini, everything installed OK, all other services working OK. However, AddressBook isn't. Reading through Apple's online docs here it states that the log files should be at /var/log/carddavd (as one would expect)...except that I didn't have that folder. Hmmm....
In addition most of the settings to do with certificates and SSL were empty. Going through and manually setting them to what the good book says they should be, makes serveradmin's settings stick and look correct but still no good. I even created a carddavd directory in /var/log/ and pointed the log files to it but they are just full of errors and nothing but 'server started' in the access log.
serveradmin output below -if soemone could compare and let me know, that'd be really helpful (XXXXXXX is the server blanked) and extract of error log below that.

List server not finding group recipients (Server 4.0.3)
We cannot send emails to group members:
Group members themselves can receive email OK individually from the internet thank goodness. But ...in OS X Server
The Groups' "Mailing Lists" boxes are now empty. Even "Workgroup" lists all the users but no "Mailing List" now.
Newly re-adding a mailing list name to an existing (listless) Group does notget email to the Group's members, though. The List Server log says :no recipients for <mail list name>" when it receives a group email even though it's received if for the newly added mailing list name. And next:... list_server_agent[6025] <Error>: no recipients for message-id=1420584145.....
Creating a new group fills the "Mailing Lists" box with an assortment of crazy mailing list names ...
This is probably going to be yet another crazy error in the way that the List Server uses LDAP / OD I expect ... or LDAP getting corrupted possibly after upgrading to Server 4.0.3 when we first noticed this. Oh dear ... this is all we need right now ... just as we were beginning to restore our faith in the gradually improving OS X Server.
We don't have a very recent OD Archive (wouldn't be too much trouble to update from it, though) and if I had any faith that restoring from it would solve the problem I would do so.
Any advice gratefully considered! It's just seemingly broken.
(pardon the double-post)
I have a fresh install of OS X Server 4.1 with the former directory users imported. Facing the same issue as everyone else.
I noticed in /Library/Server/Mail/Config/MailServicesOther.plist, you can enable debug logging for the list server:
<key>list_server</key>
<dict>
<key>dest_domain</key>
<string>example.com</string>
<key>list_server_log_level</key>
<string>debug</string>
Bizarrely, when I now send a message, the list server even lists the members, and then says no members found:
May 3 13:01:06 server.example.com list_server_agent[12758] <Debug>: initalized recipient cache: marketing
May 3 13:01:06 server.example.com list_server_agent[12758] <Debug>: expanding group: marketing
May 3 13:01:06 server.example.com list_server_agent[12758] <Debug>: fetching nested groups within: marketing
May 3 13:01:06 server.example.com list_server_agent[12758] <Debug>: carlee is member of mail SACL
May 3 13:01:06 server.example.com list_server_agent[12758] <Debug>: sophie is member of mail SACL
May 3 13:01:06 server.example.com list_server_agent[12758] <Debug>: jaimee is member of mail SACL
May 3 13:01:06 server.example.com list_server_agent[12758] <Error>: no recipients for: marketing
This makes no sense at all. I have no SACL's set for Mail, or any other service in case anyone's curious. -
Windows 2012 Remote desktop session host server not detecting RD licensing server
Hi,
We have a customer server which is Windows 2012. We installed RDS session host server role and configured it to use RD licensing server as per the
https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2833839?wa=wsignin1.0
After configuring, when I open RD license diagonser tool, it says, RD license server is not available. Also shows, credential not available. When I enter the credential by clicking, provide credentials, it does not get applied. I see no event logs related
to RD service. However, I see the below event log which points to RD licensing server.
DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer <RD license server> using any of the configured protocols; requested by PID 273c (C:\Windows\system32\mmc.exe).
Please help in fixing the issue.
Thanks,
UmeshHi Umesh,
Thanks for your comment.
During your configuration, have you specified RD License server for RDSH to use?
You can also specify a license server for the RD Session Host server to use by applying the Group Policy under below path.
Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Licensing
Use the specified Remote Desktop license servers – Provide the FQDN of the license servers to use
Also this setting can be specified by below method.
To configure the license server on RDSH/RDVH:
$obj = gwmi -namespace "Root/CIMV2/TerminalServices" Win32_TerminalServiceSetting
$obj.SetSpecifiedLicenseServerList("License.contoso.com")
Note “License” is the name of the License Server in the environment
To verify the license server configuration on RDSH/RDVH:
$obj = gwmi -namespace "Root/CIMV2/TerminalServices" Win32_TerminalServiceSetting
$obj.GetSpecifiedLicenseServerList()
More information.

Server not working on Live server
So I just purchased the flash media server yesterday and
migrated the files and applications to the live site. And things
just wont work. I have encoded videos in the definst folder, but
nothing shows up. The site takes a really long time to load and
often crashes my firefox. I have verified that the server is
running and all the services are running. I am using a Red Hat
Linux server. has anyone had this problem or does anyone have a
suggestion to trouble shoot this problem.
Also i cannot log into the admin console i am using the
correct user and pwd. From what you describe, I suspect there might be firewall
getting in the way. Did you open port 1935 on your server firewall?
By default, the flashplayer will connecting to FMS on port
1935. If 1935 fails, the flashplayer will attempt to connect on
port 80. It takes a while for the second attempt to happen, so that
would explain the lag in the connecting being accepted.
I'm not sure why firefox is crashing, but that wouldn't be
caused by a server issue. Is there something in your actionscript
that might cause the flashplayer to crash if the netconnection
isn't accepted? Perhaps a conditional that results in an infinite
loop?
About the admin service... are you sure it's running and
there's no firewall blocking port 1111? Try entering this into your
browser:
http://[server ip or hostname]:1111
If the service responds with an XML file, it's running. -
Issues with outgoing server - not mac or me server
dear apple list
i am having issues with outgoing mail server for my domain dot com email account
there error message reads:
The sender address x was rejected by the server smtp.x.org.
I contacted the hosting provider and everything is alright on their end. This problem just suddenly sprouted up - any suggestions? I changed the outgoing mail server from port 25 to 587 but to no avail.
ThanksHello NgaireClare,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Take a look at the following article to help troubleshoot the issue with your outgoing mail server.

New mini server not showing upgrade to Server.app
We have a client that just upgraded to a new Mac mini server that shipped with OS X 10.8 and had Server.app 2.0.23 installed. The Software Update feature is not showing the option to update Server.app to 2.2.2. If I search in the App Store it shows as something that can be purchased. Any thoughts?
Actually though I've seen some big reviews discuss Server.app 2.2.2 being used in OS X 10.9, it is actually for OS X 10.8 which is what my client is running. Server.app 3.0 is what you purchase for OS X 10.9. I appreciate our input though. So my issue is that the machine shipped from Apple with OS X 10.8.1 and Server.app 2.0.23. I have successfully upgraded to the latest firmware updates, OS X 10.8.5 etc, but it does not offer Server.app 2.2.2 as an option which is strange and I have no idea how to rectify it. As long at it works fine for their needs I will not worry about it and hold off until they do go to OS X 10.9 and they can purchase Server.app 3.x at that time.

GSSAPI Error: Server not found in Kerberos database
Hi all
For about 3 days I'm now seeing this error message in system.log every 3 minutes:
DirectoryService: GSSAPI Error: Miscellaneous failure (Server not found in Kerberos database)
This happens on a fileserver which is connected to an OD server.
I did a search in this forum and found one thread about it. The advice there was to look in kdc.log to see which principal is failing - but I don't have a kdc.log. The other tip was to use kadmin to get a list of the principals by using
kadmin.local -q listprincs
but what I get instead of this list is:
Authenticating as principal xyz/[email protected] with password.
kadmin.local: No such file or directory while initializing kadmin.local interface
It seems that some file is missing, which would explain why DirectoryService can't find the server in the database... I have to confess that I have no idea as to how Kerberos works or how to configure it.
Authentication against the OD server is working fine, it's just that the errors in the log are getting on my nerves, and they make it difficult to find other, more important messages in system.log.
Thankas, TinaAh, I see, the kdc.log is on the OD server, not on
the file server where I was looking for it.
OK, in the kdc logfile I have a lot of entries like
these ones:
Kerberos is an auth system where the user authenticates to the kdc and is issued a TGT (Ticket Granting Ticket). The user then presents their TGT and a service principal (Kerberos name of a server) to the kdc to get a service ticket. The user then sends the service ticket to the server who lets the user in.
Some interpretation:
Mar 22 09:18:35 zool09.abc.xy krb5kdc[218](info):
TGS_REQ (7 etypes {18 17 16 23 1 3 2}) 130.60.23.23:
UNKNOWN_SERVER: authtime 1143003387,
[email protected] for krbtgt/[email protected],
Server not found in Kerberos database
This (TGS_REQ) is request for a service ticket from 130.60.23.23 using the
TGT owned by [email protected], to get a service ticket for
krbtgt/[email protected]. It looks like krbtgt/[email protected] is not in your kdc's database. This looks like a cross realm request.
If you are also connected to an active directory system you might see something like this.
Mar 22 09:19:20 zool09.abc.xy krb5kdc[218](info):
AS_REQ (7 etypes {18 17 16 23 1 3 2}) 130.60.23.11:
NEEDED_PREAUTH: [email protected] for
krbtgt/[email protected], Additional
pre-authentication required

AS_REQ (7 etypes {18 17 16 23 1 3 2}) 130.60.23.11:
ISSUE: authtime 1143015560, etypes {rep=16 tkt=16
ses=16}, [email protected] for
krbtgt/[email protected]
The AS_REQ's above are the two step authentication process for user [email protected] from 130.60.23.11.
Mar 22 09:19:20 zool09.abc.xy krb5kdc[218](info):
TGS_REQ (7 etypes {18 17 16 23 1 3 2}) 130.60.23.11:
UNKNOWN_SERVER: authtime 1143001370,
[email protected] for
krbtgt/[email protected], Server not
found in Kerberos database
This is another service ticket request. Though the requested service principal looks malformed, I would look for something misconfigured on 130.60.23.11.
Possibly watch what user zds01 is doing during login to get some idea of what's going on.
Mar 22 09:19:20 zool09.abc.xy krb5kdc[218](info):
TGS_REQ (7 etypes {18 17 16 23 1 3 2}) 130.60.23.11:
UNKNOWN_SERVER: authtime 1143001370,
[email protected] for
krbtgt/[email protected], Server not found
in Kerberos database
Same as above.
What do they mean? I didn't set up Kerberos
authentication, I think I don't need it, is there any
way to disable it? Or am I using it without knowing
it??
When you set up the OD Master, a kdc & the needed files were set up to allow single sign on to all the kerberized services in the system.
- see if you have an
/Library/Preferences/edu.mit.Kerberos file
- Also look for an /etc/krb5.keytab file
Yes, I have both of them.
kadmin.local -q listprincs on the OD server gives me
a long list of computers, users and services like
this:
I don't know what these all mean... could you give me
a brief explanation?
[email protected]
When you create a computer record in Workgroup Manager a generic principal name is added to the kdc for that computer. It is related to the host/computer_name@REALM service principal for servers.
[email protected]
This is a user principal (this is the account name for the user in the Kerberos system) Sometimes you will see user/admin@REALM.
afpserver/[email protected]
This is a service principal. They usually are in the form servicetype/server_dnsname@REALM
One of the things that Kerberos is very sensitive to is correct DNS configuration. You need to have both forward (name -> IP) and reverse (IP -> name) DNS set up for all the servers in your realm.
Hope this helps

QuickTime server not found? & Mediaportal plugin development.
HI!
I'am developping plugin top of Media portal (www.team-mediaportal.com). My plugin is called piipTV (http://piiptv.japo.fi/) this plugin is streaming using RTSP and it's working correctly with Nokia Video Center (S60 default application) and also with VLC and some other players. Now i tried it using QuickTime I installed latest 7.5 version to windows XP and Vista laptops and this version is not even connecting to my server it just say's "server not found" and in server logs i cannot see anything?? any idea for this?
Then I found old 7.0.4 QuickTime version and I tried this one, this version connects to my server but RTSP streaming is not started. RTSP server supports boths UDP and TCP streaming. I'am trying to stream using MPEG-4 and MPEG-4 AVC formats.
Can i get some kind of logs from QuickTime, or any idea what could be wrong in server side? or any tips how to debug furter?I tried all the suggestions that where given in the post and
I still continue to get those errors.maybe macromedia flash just
really doesnt want to cater to linux users or mac users.
