Iphone 3gs is broken and want to put the sim in my old iphone 3....how do i get the old phone to recognise the sim
can anyone help...my iphone 3 gs 16gb is knackered. i want to use the old iphone 3 we have but it wont recognise the sim. its on o2 the same as the old phone was, but the number / sim is different than it was when i was using the old phone.
It also asked if I wanted to update my software and it did that too

Copy the iTunes folder from the disk to the Mac, and the iPhone backup to the right place on the Mac (Google for "iphone backup location"). Then when you restore you can reload the last backup.

I originally synced my iPOD to my PC in April 2011. I purchased a new computer but my iPOD will not sync to it because it is synced to the old PC. I do not want to erase my iPOD to sync with the new PC because I have loaded alot of music from CD's to it. HELP!

Make sure your new computer is authorized in iTunes. Disable autosync in itunes, connect your ipod, right click on it in the device list and choose backup.

Transfer your purchases the same way to copy all apps and bought media from the Store to your computer.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer to be able the merge your calendars and contacts after your ipod got wiped during the first sync.

As mentioned by vazandrew, music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.

I have run into problems doing this. Itunes only wants to recognize the library on my hard drive or the music in the cloud. It will not use the externally stored library as active for downloads and for syncing. All these problems make me wonder if Apple is exerting pressure to give up on the classic and buy a touch which will connect to the cloud itself.

Hold down the mouse button when shutting down, If that doesn't work, try holding the Mac sideways and shaking gently, then if you see the edge of the disc, use tweezers to pull it out.

If your phone is locked because you entered passcode wrong too many times then you need to restore as new and data will be lost

You cannot get warranty or out of warranty service in India on a US purchased phone. The warranty on the iPhone is not international.

You will have to call AppleCare and give them the model and serial number so they can advise who it is locked with. Then you will have to contact that cell provider and find out what their unlock process is, if there is a fee, and if you qualify. If it is locked to a company that does not have an unlock policy then you will not be able to unlock it.

i purchased an album years ago on itunes and now iv bought a new laptop and want to put all my purchased music onto it, however it says iv only bought two songs off the one album. i know iv bought the whole album because ive got it on my iphone. how do i retrieve the rest of the songs without paying for them again?

It sounds like you are trying to download a purchased album, but not all the tracks are listed as being purchased. If you still have the receipt that was emailed to you when you bought it, you can use it to report a problem with the purchase to the iTunes Store directly with this article:

when i connect my iphone to my laptop and open itunes it shows my iphone has nothing on it(no music, no movies, etc...) then when i try to sync it says iphone is is full and can only put in a selected amount of songs. Take in mind this is my first time to sync with this laptop(HP 15 ENVY) and as well my laptop is just brand new. just got it a week ago. so how do i fix this prob. and also when i open my itunes store and then view my account it says error occurred either debug it through Microsoft visual studio or close program. I tired copying all the .dll files to the itunes folder didn't help
I cannot address the sync services error right now, but the error that you receive when you change from sync to manually manage music is what happens when you change. Once you change to manually manage music, it erases all of the music and will only put the music that you want on the phone, content that you manually drag over to it. Apple doesn't have anything to do with this other than enforcing the DRM protection. The developers of this content expect to be paid if someone wants to use their content. When you purchase content in the app store, you purchase a license to use the content. This license does not permit you or anyone else to resell or give this content away. The individual you purchased the phone from simply does not have the right to sell or give away any purchased content on the phone. You were deceived.
