IPhone 4 (iOS 6.1.3 currently) and iOS upgrade?
I have a 2+ year old iPhone 4, with about 9gb of space available. Should I be nervous about upgrading to iOS 7.0.3?
Some have reported issues with upgrading to iOS 7.0.3 on the iPhone 4. Sluggish performance is the main talking point, however there have been some links with help for that. This is one. http://osxdaily.com/2013/09/23/ios-7-slow-speed-it-up/
The only other comment I could make is to make sure you understand what iOS 7 looks like, as the only other comments I have read regarding iOS 7 is the look. If you have taken the time to review information on the Apple website about iOS 7, then go ahead and upgrade. I would also recommend doing this with the phone connected to the computer and iTunes rather than OTA. There have also been reports of it hanging up and not completing.

Just tried to upgrade iphone 4 with iOS 7 and stuck in endless loop. Phone screen wants me to select a wi-fi network (no problem), then restore from either iCloud or iTunes. I had to use iTunes for the upgrade due to the phone and previous OS version, so choose this option. However, nothing is getting me beyond this. The phone keeps going back to the same screen. Don't want to lose my contacts and pic's. Sorry I ever tried to upgrade. Any help much appreciated!

I have the same problem. All the latest updates as you also have. I´m wondering if it has something to do with merged events in iPhoto (9.1.5), but I´m not shure.... No solution yet...

I recd a msg saying I can upgrade my iPhone 3G to new iOS 4.2. I connected to the PC & it said the upgrade was easy. Just go to iTunes & follow the instructions. There are no instructions on how to upgrade on iTunes that I can find. This is my first time to download an upgrade. What am I doing wrong? Where do I go in iTunes to access the upgrade?

Mail on iPhone after iOS upgrade
Upgraded OS to 5.1 yesterday and sync'd iPhone. All email (from hotmail, not MobileMe) now being received twice into inbox. Any reason why? How to fix? Thanks.
Our entire company is hit by this and our IT department put a notice on our internal website saying that they have no intention of even trying to work on this issue as they see it as Apple´s responsability to fix. I hope Apple fix this soon as it ***** to be without company email access on the phone and ipad!

IPhone 3G - Iphone does not show up as Camera and Portable Devices in Windo
I have 2 iphones and both are 3g, I will name them A & B for the sake of this conversation. when I plug in A, windows 7 recognizes it as a camera and so does itunes. but when I plug in B, itunes recognizes it but windows 7 does not. I am not able to transfer the pictures from ipone B. Please suggest. Iphone B was on 3.1.2 and I upgraded it to 3.1.3 and still no luck. I am thinking of clean wiping iphone B, but need to know for sure that the pictures are backed up in the itunes backup.

Sameer JafferOccassionally if a picture is saved from an email, an MMS or copied from a website, it has had the tendency to create an error when trying to import the pictures from the camera roll. If that is the case on phone "B", then it is suggested that you email the offfending photos and then delete them from the camera roll. Once that is done, most will then appear in Windows. Not sure if this is the case for you, but that is generally the first fix.

I'm trying to update my iPhone 5 to IOS 7 through iTunes. I get a pop up saying I need to update my iTunes to 11.0.5 before I can update my iPhone. The problem is my iTunes is current, and no update for iTunes is found. Any one have any suggestions?
I had the same problem. My phone wasn't finding it so I tried plugging it into my laptop and it said I needed the latest iTunes which I already had.... I unplugged my phone from my laptop and did a soft reset to my phone (hold down the lock button and home button at the same time until your phone turns off) once it turns back on you should find the update... Click general... Software update. Worked for me!

Hello. I have an iphone 3gs 8gb factory unlocked. Currently its running on ios 5.0.1 and I am trying to update it ios 5.1.1 but its not updating. The itunes downloads the ios 5.1.1and gives back unknown error(3194). Please help.

Install the latest version of iTunes.

Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. FollowiTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service. -

It sounds as if you had a device that was jailbroken/hacked to operate on your carrier. Upon updating the iOS, it is now locked back to the original carrier the device was locked to.
Only the carrier the device is locked to can authorize an unlock. You will need to make contact with that carrier and see if they provide unlocking services, and if they do, if you qualify for an unlock. Otherwise, you are out of luck. One that carrier can take care of the unlocking. -

If you have iPhone 3G, the latest and greatest is IOS 4.2.1.
If you have iPhone 3GS or later, you can only update to IOS 6.0.1.
For iPhone 5 and iPad mini, you can update to IOS 6.0.2. -

Assuming you are using the current version of iTunes (11,2,2), open iTunes, click "Preferences" under the leftmost entry on iTunes' menu, then choose "Devices".
Find the iPhone's backup there, highlight it, and choose "Delete Backup".
