IPhone 4 - Problem flash photo

Hi i have a black iphone 4.
The photo that i shoot in the night with the flash are all too white.
I tried also to restore but with no solution.
What can i do?

You're not from Michigan are you? That's where the majority of those signal issues seem to originate. Anyway, get the phone swapped for different one if you've tried everything else. This will rule the hardware out. After that if the problem returns, keep bugging Verizon and good luck.

Thank you Pappy 5419 for your photo , I can't tell you what it has done to relax me as my husband has just sent me am alarming photo , he is away with my two youngest and miss 6yrs eyes are glowing like this whilst miss 11 yrs are not . Glowing / white spots in eyes in flash photography can be a sign of serious childhood eye disease and cancer and is not a sign /symptom to be taken lightly . I think iphone /apple need to be aware of the impact of this technical issue, as whilst I fully intend to follow up/check my daughters eye health with our Dr asap , from the forums & internet research I have done this evening ,this issue may be causing unnescesary alarm to others.Or alternatively 5-6 children in your photo need to be checked asap for significant eye disease that affects approx one in eighty children and iphone may have a new meaningful purpose in detecting kids eye issues ...........

Problems with flash photos on iPhone 4s

I have a black iPhone and my friend has a white iPhone, both 4s. I have no problem taking flash photos with mine, but on hers, when the light from the flash LED comes on and then fires at the moment of taking the picture, it is like the light is almost "bleeding" into the white back cover. When you look at it when this happens, the light source is no longer just the small LED, but is now an area of the back cover the size of your fingernail. This seems to be having the affect of causing all the flash photos to look like you have taken the photo in fog. There is a white "cloud" across the entire photo, making it totally unusable as a photo, you cannot see ANYTHING at all. I have made sure there is nothing in front of the lens or flash (fingerprints or scratches) and the camera takes perfectlly fine non-flash photos. My black iPhone 4s does NOT do this. Also tried with and without a case on the iPhone, to make sure it wasn't light catching the edge of the hole on the case and reflecting back to the lens. Does the same thing when the case is completely removed from the iPhone. Any suggestions ?

It is normal for it to get warm when it's being used, especially if it is hot outside. It can even get uncomfortably warm. As long as it is not causing you physical harm (as in giving you burns) or displaying a temperature warning, then it's normal behavior. It's like taking your laptop outside and using it. Except the laptop will probably burn you.

You have to install the iCloud control panel for windows, then sign in with you apple ID, and check what you want to sync.

When I restored my phone from icloud, half of my pics and videos have been deleted, the pics that were restored on my phone are very blurry, and the videos won't play. I get a message on my phone that says " the URL you are requesting is not found on this server". I have erased and reset my phone twice, but every time I do it, more pics and videos are deleted. I have backed up to icloud and iphoto, however, some of the pics are no longer on iphoto either. Is there someway to get the videos to play on my phone again? Make the photos not as blurry as they are now and to restore the pics and videos that have been lost? I really would love to have them back, this phone is supposed to be the best and right now it doesn't seem to be. Please help if you can.

I too have noticed that once i restored from iCloud. Pictures blurry and videos wont play!

Welcome to the Apple community.
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.

Problems sending photos from iPhone to iPhoto

My iPhone stopped sending photos to my iPhoto (Photo Stream). I thought it might be because I reached the maximum 1000 photos on the stream. So, I deleted the 1000 photos. But, then the rest of the photos still would't download. How can I manually tell my photo stream that I want to stream the rest of the photos to iPhoto? I tried selecting the photos that didn't go across and selecting a new photo stream, but that didn't work. Any ideas?

Hopefully this isn't going to make me look like a complete dummy. I thought it worth posting as I haven't seen anyone else mention this issue...
Since getting my iPhone 4 I have been very disappointed with the quality of all of my photos taken with the flash. Regardless of the distance of the subject all the photos have come out very washed-out. I don't have the protective plastic on the back of the phone, and I was getting the same results with and without my case on. Despite the overall improvements I saw in my photos with iOS 4.1, flash photos were still really bad.
The penny has just dropped! When I take landscape photos with my iPhone 4 (camera button to the right, lens and flash to the left) I hold the phone in both hands with my fingertips. Because the phone is so slim a fair amount of my left palm sits forward of the left-hand edge of the phone. It doesn't appear in the photos, however there is obviously enough there to reflect a substantial amount of the flash. Holding the phone in my right hand and using my left hand to tap the on-screen button has resulted in dramatically better results.
This is so obvious now I've realised what the problem was that I can't believe I haven't worked it out before now. I thought it worth posting here anyway - just in case anyone else is doing the same thing.
Now all I have to do is work out why I get so much noise in photos taken under artificial lighting...

As a Photographer the term "artificial lighting" means bad or poor lighting. While the human eye is quite capable of adjusting for almost any lighting condition, the "dumb" sensor in your phone camera is nowhere near as capable. While I am not sure that the iphone camera uses variable ISO for it's sensor, I would be surprised if it doesn't. ISO simply refers to the sensitivity of the camera sensor, which sensitivity is raised for low light shots. Prosumer cameras have the ability to take low light shots with a higher ISO to some extent, and professional digital cameras even moreso (professional in the Nikon world meaning $2500 US and above). Making the sensor more sensitive causes noise, and in a low end camera without flash, that noise will be more readily apparent.

Empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. If you use iPhoto, empty its internal Trash first:
iPhoto ▹ Empty Trash
Do the same in other applications, such as Aperture, that have an internal Trash feature. Then reboot. That will temporarily free up some space.
According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of the data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
When Time Machine backs up a portable Mac, some of the free space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of recently deleted files. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown asBackups. The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself. If you followed bad advice to disable local snapshots by running a shell command, you may have ended up with a lot of data in the Other category. Reboot and it should go away.
See this support article for some simple ways to free up storage space.
You can more effectively use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) to explore the volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can also delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one.
Deleting files inside an iPhoto or Aperture library will corrupt the library. Any changes to a photo library must be made from within the application that created it. The same goes for Mail files.
Proceed further only if the problem isn't solved by the above steps.
ODS can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
Back up all data now.
If you have more than one user account, make sure you're logged in as an administrator. The administrator account is the one that was created automatically when you first set up the computer.
Install ODS in the Applications folder as usual. Quit it if it's running.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The application window will open, eventually showing all files in all folders, sorted by size with the largest at the top. It may take a few minutes for ODS to finish scanning.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything while running ODS as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means. When in doubt, leave it alone or ask for guidance.
When you're done with ODS, quit it and also quit Terminal.

Self explanatory.
You could try creating an iPod version of the films.
Use CTRL and B to display the Menu bar shown above. Alternatively, use the ALT key, followed by the F key, the W key and finally the I (eye) key - that's (menu)/File/Create New Version/Create iPod or iPhone version.
