Iphone 4s music starts intermittendly

Music begins playing without asking it to do so.  when I tell Siri to "stop music," it does, but it sometimes starts again immediatlely; sometimes it happens hour later.
It happened most recently when playing "Words with Friends."
Is there anyway to turn off iTunes once it starts?  I think that's one of the reasons the  battery drains; it's on all the time.  It shows "Now playing" when i click on the Music icon, but when i Pause it, it inevitably starts again.
Ist there an "app killer" that can turn it off like in Android?

Hello!
I had this problem a few mins ago, i try to find out a solution for this, well im unsucessful.
But, i've found the file that cause the problem. In telephone (use ifile, or ifunbox) Go to VAR>Mobile>Media>Itunes Control>iTunes and the file name is MediaLibrary.sqlitedb  if you delete this (make a safe copy) you have lost all of your file that you can not delete, but it does not seems any file in the Music... Maybe who have some information about these sqlitedb files knows the solution of our problem.
Let me know if you found the solution
Thanks.
P.S: We need a full Basic Itunes folder. It would delete all of these visual tracks, but does not give the problems that cause.

My music or audiobook starts on its own at times.  Can't figure out what is happening?  Is it a bluetooth issue?  Then I have to take it back to the beginning of book and lose my place.

    Hello Wildcat74
There are some steps to try out that I have highlighted for you in the article below for iPhone hardware troubleshooting.

    Camera is not functioning
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tapping Settings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Third-party cases can interfere with the autofocus/exposure feature and the flash (iPhone 4 only); try removing the case if you have image-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center. Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. After recording begins, you cannot readjust focus until you stop recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll. Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Regards,
    -Norm G.

  • How can I stop my iPhone 5 from starting the music player randomly on its own?

I have an iPhone 5 running the latest version of iOS.  Sometime last year (maybe shortly after I originally upgraded to iOS 7), the phone developed a nasty habit of starting up the music player during phone conversations when I connected to my Mazda's Bluetooth system.  Oddly enough, I can hear the music playing over the phone conversation but the person on the other end of the phone line can't.  To stop the music, I have to open the Music App and then close the App.  Note that the Music App did NOT have to be previously open for the music to start, and the Music App doesn't usually show as an open App even after the music starts on its own.  The problem has persisted through the last few iOS updates and it now happens in a broader range of circumstances (e.g., I have told the iPhone to forget the Mazda adapter, and it now does the same thing with my Plantronics Voyager Bluetooth headset).  I usually have to go through this sequence at least twice per Bluetooth pairing session before the phone stops trying to start the music player on its own during phone calls.
The problem went away temporarily when I did a full reset of the phone, but it came back after a few days (even when I added apps & music back without restoring from an iOS backup).
Has anyone found a way to fix this problem once and for all?  If I can find a fix, it's enough of an annoyance that it might convince me to go Android with my next phone.  Thanks in advance...

I've tried syncing with itunes and icloud.  The missing contacts are nowhere to be found.  I just re-enter them on my iphone and proceed on my not so merry way.  Next time I look for a contact, it might be there or it might not.  It is not necessarily the same contact.  It appears that my oldest contacts seem to be the ones disappearing

At night, as soon as I plug my iphone to be recharged, my iphone starts behaving anomaly.  It is like somebody has taken control of it.  I see the screens moving, music starts playing and then stopping, etc.  I have noticed that several nights.  What I do is in Settings is to change  into Plane Mode, thinking that, may be if I do that, somebody that has taking control of it will not be able to download data.  Yesterday night, I was awakened by an alarm, whose setting I did not changed. When I looked over, the alarm screen changed to Settings and the Plane Mode changed alone in front of my eyes, from on to off.
I have not observed such a situation during the day. Only when I plug the cable.
I suspected that may be there is no Trojan installed. May be the cable, which is a spare cable, has been modified by a hacker, and it has electronics installed in the connector.  But tested with the original cable, and the behavior was the same, as described above.

    Thanks Meg for your reply.
It could be that both cable are bad. But, anyway, you would not expect any of these manifestations, even with a bad cable. I had bad cable for my 4s, and never saw such a thing!
I contacted by chat the support of Apple.  They told me that this behavior could be a software problem and recommended me to do a full recover of my iphone. That meant, putting in at the factory conditions and recup all the data from the backup.  I did that, and the behavior did not change.  The backup was made with the data of my PC, not icloud.  Tomorrow will try with icloud and check if that will work.

  • Iphone plays music out the speakers when headset/aux cable unplug

Either when I'm listening to music in iphone from aux in the car, then I stop the music and unplug the phone... music starts playing from the speakers. This happens, even after I had not used the phone at all (no music, or calling). Usually just unplugging the headsets just starts playing music all of the sudden out the speakers!!! (this happens to both Apple headset, generic stereo headsets, and aux cable). I didn't even had the ipod player "ON".
Yes, this happen to me while I had a client in the car with me!!!! Do you know what is like to have a Japanese old men, all of the sudden get surprised by 50 CENT!!!
This is not cool APPLE!!! I busted my butt to get the iphone 3g (needed wife's permission and money)... so I'm really paying extra money for a broken iPod Touch! Really, my ipod touch doesn't even do this!
So please if anybody can help, or if you know any solutions for this. I really could use this, because I often unplug my phone with guest in the car. (I have it plugged in always while driving, safety first!)

I don`t know if it`s because an update, but its working pretty well now.

How to solve this problem that I have

i've had a few issues like this.
I've found that it is an issue with items that are already on your phone.
    several troubleshoots.
    1) uncheck everything from syncing (apps, music, tv shows, movies, podcasts, etc), try to perform a sync, it most likely will work.  Then, sync after checking each item individually (check the sync box for videos, then sync, check the sync box for podcasts, then sync, check the sync box for music, then sync, etc).  One of two things will happen, 1) you will fix the problem, or 2) you will identify exactly what part of the sync setup is the culprit.
    2) if the above doesn't work, I've found that it is likely an issue with files that are on your phone but your phone doesn't exaclty recognize (for example, I had copies of music on my phone that didn't show up in the music app, I went in on itunes and manually deleted those songs from my phone and that fixed the sync).  to do this, check the "manually manage music and videos" box at the bottom of "summary" while your phone is connected to itunes.  Then, go to the left hand pane in itunes and find your iphone device, click the drop-down arrow that shows all the categories for media on your iphone.  Go to the music category in your iphone on itunes and delete all the music that shows up.  Try to perform a sync - it likely will work.  After this, you can uncheck the manually manage music box and re-sync your phone as normal
let me know if either works

  • Anyone notice music playing pauses on IPhone during music sync from the cloud?

I downloaded a album from my Macbook Pro to test the new music auto sync feature on my IPhone.  While I was downloading the album on my MBP I started playing the first song that was synced to my IPhone.  I noticed that after every song that was synced to my IPhone the music playing would pause for a 1/2 second then continue.  I tested this out with WIFI and on 3G and got the same results.  I found it a bit annoying and I don't think this is "feature" to let me know a song has been synced onto my IPhone.  Now I do understand this feature is in BETA so I hope it gets fixed when its finally released.

I have had this exact same thing happen to me. It is really annoying to have those pauses. Some songs have multiple pauses. I hope this is resolved when the final product is released.

  • I just want to manage my pics & my apps only on my iphone, no music, no videos

I dont own an ipod.  I have never used itunes until just recently when I updraded my iphone IOS.  All I want to do is manage my apps and person pics and videos.  I have no plans or interest in using the iphone (3GS) for purchasing or playing music or video.  Is there some sort of setting on itunes to make it easier?  i.e. open the iphone in an Exporer type window?

To my knowledge, on the iPhone you can only manage photos/images on your Camera Roll and Photo Stream.  I have no intentions of using my iPhone for music or video either, but I do have an iPod so of course I have to have iTunes.
Unless you wish to connect your iPhone as a mass storage device and (carefully) pick through the folders that way to add and remove files, I find it more convenient, albeit slow to start it up on my computer, to use iTunes to manage my Photo Library.  I do not know of a way to otherwise manage content on the iPhone (or any other Apple device, for that matter).
Managing apps is easy on the iPhone itself (I don't know how long you've had your phone for so this might all be old news to you).  If I want to add one, I go to the App Store icon.  If I want to rearrange them, I hold my finger on one until they all jiggle and then I drag them around at will.  If I want to delete one, I hold it down until they jiggle and touch the black X at the top corner of the app and accept the prompt to delete it.
I hope this helped to answer your question, and if you find another way, let us know! =]

  • Music starts automatically

Music starts without prompting on my iPhone.  It's making the phone borderline unusable.  Phone calls drop and music starts playing.  Siri use to also start, but I was able to turn Siri off so that's no longer a problem, with the exception that the only reason that I upgraded to a 5 was so I had Siri.  These issues mostly occur when I am using apple ear buds with a mic, but the problems also occur when nothing is plugged into the phone, sometimes even when no one is touching the phone.

    I would restart the phone
Restart iPhone: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for phone to restart (no data will be lost).
If that doesnt do it then I would restore from a backup.
If that doesnt fix it then I would restore the phone as new (data and settings will be lost)
Finallly I would visit an apple store and see a genius if none of the above fixes the problem

  • Music starts automatically with Bluetooth enabled

Music on my iPhone starts up automatically when bluetooth is enabled in my car.  The music also starts playing on my iPhone unexpectedly, even when I am not in Bluetooth range.
Is there any way of preventing this?  Because my music is in iCloud, I want to be able to control when music starts streaming.  This seem s to be a bug, because I do not want streaming to happen over the cell network without requesting it.

  • On my iPhone I cannot start iTunes anymore, because the loginscreen (appleID) wil not dissapear

suddenly it's impossible to start iTunes on my iPhone. When starting iTunes on my iPhone the Apple-ID login-window appears. I compete this with my loginname and password but the login-window appears again. And again, again, again ..... Not untill I stop iTunes this login window hinders me to do anything else on my iPhone then to fill out my apple-ID and password.
Off course I've tried some things to fix this problem: in my iTunes-account (on my Macbook) first I deleted the matched devices and on my iPhone I refreshed all iCloud-logins. But nothing solved my problem, so still I'm unable to start iTunes on my iPhone (4S).
I hope someone can help me with this, I mis my music when driving my car....

    Hi vanmarly,
First I would try restarting and resetting the device:

If the issue persists, it might be worth trying to restore the device:

  • Ho installato nuovo iTunes cosa succede quando attacco iPhone con musica e app già installate?

Ho installato nuovo iTunes cosa succede quando attacco iPhone con musica e app già installate?

When I doublecheck for the first time the AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi the message is: "A later version of Apple Mobile device Support is already installed on this computer."
    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Mobile Device Support entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Music starts...

frequently on my iphone G4S after changing applications, it seems to turn back to the before used music application. So music starts playing uninvited when I quit the afterwards used application, or when I switch the phone off, without leaving the last used application. If this is not a bug it is some misconstruction, wasn't like that on my old iphone G3.
Has anybody the same problems and an idea what to do about it?

    No it didn't fix it...
I STILL have the issue, even after updating.
I use my FM transmitter in the car at times.  I get out the car, stopped the music and go away from the car, having turned off the FM transmitter.  I then get a call. Finish the call.  My music starts again.
It happened to me last week, and was REAL embarrassingly loud dose of "The Prodigy" to the entire office...OOPS!
    Any ideas?
