Iphone 5 locked by apple?

HI everyone!!!
three months ago I went to apple store to change my iphone 5 unlock factory with the quality program for the On/Off button, so apple change the device and give a "new brand" iphone unlock factory, everything went ok until this last week, the new device was loosing the signal, I went to the apple webpage where there is an instructions to solve this issue, I did all the steps but didn't work, the last resource was restore the iphone so I did.
After restore the iphone get the error " sim not valid"!!!, went to apple store and said to me the "the new device" has only 90 days of warranty and finish 2 days before the device has the issue, so they can't helpme.
I tried with very different sim cards but nothing works.
I Don't know what else can I do to recover mi iphone.
IS there anyone can helpme????

Wow unbelieveable this just happened to me!!! Before the replacement program even began I returned my phone all was fine I had it for 5 months or so until this Tuesday when I restored it ! it locked it and said SIM NOT VALID, didn't let me do anything I called apple they told me to contact my carrier which I did all was fine I even bought a new Sim but still didn't work I went to Apple on Wednesday and said when I got my replacment phone it wasn't properly activated so when I restored, it couldn't find my phone in they're servers they actually didn't even have records I got it from them until I showed the proof from the emails of the replacement. I waited until Friday as they said it'll take 2 or 3 days to reactivate which it didn't I made a appointment at Apple and they said they'll send the activation info and it'll take about 24 hours I refused for being told that earlier and they replaced me with a new phone and I was out of warranty. Don't take this from them demand them to reactivate it or give you a replacement! I can't bare for someone else to be going through this problem absolutely 100% their end so don't let them tell you they can't do anything about it please message me back with info and I'll be glad to help !

    Only the provider the device is locked to can authorize the unlock. If they do not provide the service, then it cannot be officially unlocked. Also, if you have a SIM slot, you have a 4S, not a 4 if it is CDMA. The iPhone 4 CDMA version was CDMA only and did not have a SIM slot. Also, the GSM version that did have the SIM slot would not have CDMA capability. The way cellular providers work in other countries all differ. A phone that is locked to Bell, a Canadian network has nothing to do with Indian telecoms.

    About the locking : I don't know. But downgrade seems impossible. We had to buy another iPhone just because of that.

    You can buy an unlocked iPhone at any of the 5 Apple stores in NYC. All are open on Sunday. Note a couple of things, however:
    US iPhone 5's will work on 3G in the rest of the world, but not on LTE because the US phones use different channels than other countries
    Be sure you say "unlocked", not "no contract"
    If it breaks it must be returned to a US store for repair, and if shipped to Apple it must be from and to a US address

    A no-contract sales price does not mean unlocked.
    Apple is now selling an officially unlocked iPhone in the U.S. which has nothing whatsoever to do with AT&T unlocking iPhones. It is up to the carrier and the carrier only to officially unlock an iPhone that was sold as carrier locked with the carrier - in this case sold as carrier locked with AT&T. This may change one day, but at the present time AT&T does not unlock an iPhone for any reason or under any circumstances.

    I guess you mean unlock the device. To lock it would mean to be possible to se it only with one carrier.
    So no, unlocking the device must be done by the original carrier, you should contact them to do that.

    when i was visiting for purchasing this device the sales team told me that the phone is unlocked and can use all around the world with any other network when i'm trying to use it other network it showed that NO SERVICE(at network issue) and then i made a call 2 apple customer support so the executive told me that this device has been locked with VODAFONE UK network. this was the FAKE commitment of sales team also its a CHEATING i must say that.
    i'm very much disapointed and dissatiesfied with the APPLE STORE sales team...

    I had read that thanks but many happy owners of locked iPhones
    claim to have bought from an Apple store they do not actually mean
    Apple Retail
    Arndale Centre is one of the largest Malls in Europe and every vendor of iPhones is there
    Apple retail in UK ONLY sell unlocked iPhones unless you opt for a contract at a reduced price
    not something you can do accidently as in sim free in US

    iPhones do not have an international warranty.  Warranty is valid only for the country of purchase.  This is most likely because different countries require different iPhone models.  Not reasonable to expect all countries to maintain stock for all models.

    Apple doesn't unlock phones. You will need to contact the original cellular provider to determine if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.

    Why would you not be able to use your existing Apple ID and iTunes account on a new laptop? If you authorized the computer - you should be able to use your existing account - unless you already had 5 computers authorized with the existing ID - and that was why iTunes would not accept the ID. However, I'm sure that you would have received a popup message from iTunes telling you that you had reached the limit.
    I just received a new MBP and my daughter did as well. My entire family shares an Apple ID and we had no issues at all with my Apple ID and iTunes on our new computers and I did not have to sign up for a new account. Did you even try the old ID?

    You need the original owner to remove the device from his or her account. There is no workaround.
