My iPhone 5S has been crashing and freezing for quite some time whenever I'm using it on a daily basis. In addition, my home button occasionally freezes whenever I press down on it; it is not very responsive. Do I get a free replacement iPhone if this continues to happen to my phone

TThere are a lot of variables that are missing to answer your question, with that said backup your phone and take it to the Apple store. They will give you the answer you are seeking.

Are you sure that your calendar still contains entries from that long ago? Generally when you sync the iPhone through iTunes, it will only sync entries from a specific time frame. It may be there older entries have been archived and do not exist on the iPhone anymore. Other than that, I don't see any setting that allows modification to the time frame for Spotlight search.

IPhone Paste function big

iPhone Paste function does not refresh itself after restarting phone.
For example, I cut/copied "hello" sometime back in the past.
Now currently let's say I cut/copy "bye bye", then I paste it somewhere, it comes out "bye bye".
But once after iPhone restart or after a long while, when I use the Paste function without copy/cut anything, it will still paste "hello".

Disable iphone logging function

My IPhone currently having wifi grayed out problem, and along side with it, the logging function is driving me crazy. Because IPhone attemp to active wifi chip every second. It mean that every second, log will be written because of fail on ative wifi chip and it consume battery as well as storage. For a week it grow over 3GB. So is there anyway that I can disable this logging function on IPhone and/or stop IPhone from attemp to active wifi chip?

You can try turning WI-FI off all together by going to Settings>Wifi>swipe off. If the problem persists call Apple call 800-275-2273. Good Luck!!!

IPhone timer functionality lost with latest update

The latest iPhone update has seemingly eliminated the ability to set the timer for anything other than full minutes. I utilized the "seconds" feature very frequently, and this change is an annoyance. Sadly, thoughtless changes by Apple seem to be becoming SOP. I don't suppose anyone knows of a "fix" for this, do they? (I'm still very frustrated over the change to FaceTime on my laptop which mutes all other sounds, limiting the program's functionality; this seems to be a developing pattern.)

Why this function disappeared for awhile, I don't know, but the seconds option is now back. I don't get it...

Can't use iPhone phone function

I recently purchased an iPhone 2g from a friend and tried to use my o2 pay as you go sim in it. It comes up with NO SERVICE and a message comes up saying: Waiting for activation. I cant use any phone function. I took it to Apple they said the phone was fine so there must have been something wrong with the sim. So I went to o2 and they said the phone was unlocked. But when I put a vodafone sim in it there is no service but when I put a t mobile sim in there is signal but I had to connect to itunes. But itunes says it is an invalid sim. And the o2 sim has the same result as before. What can I do?

In most countries, the iphone is sold carrier locked to the authorized carrier in that country.
If the iphone has been unlocked in those countries, then the warranty is void, the phone may become bricked, an you cannot get help for hacked iphones here.

You are correct, the Search Function is very powerful. It even retrieves deleted information. If you really want to delete it, only way I know would be to Restore. But if you Restore from Back-Up, some of those unwantd messages and information may crop up again. You may have to Restotre and Set Up as New iPhone.

Standard iPhone Headset functionality issue

I purchased the 3G iPhone when it first came out and have been very pleased. The standard headphones that came with the phone were great because I could stop and start music and pick up phone calls all with the click of a button.
Well now after 3 months of hardcore use the button broke. I called Apple Support up and they said it was no problem to replace it...just send them the old ones back...no questions asked. But now with the new pair...I find that the headset plug does not fit flush with the phone and I lost the playback functionality of the standard headset.
Is this a hardware issue or a software issue at this point? What should I do now?
(Sidebar: I have the most current iPhone software update as well as the most recent Leopard update and am religious when it comes to syncing and backing up the content of my iPhone)

Called apple back...they're gonna send me another replacement....they have the best support. They said if it turns out this new headset doesn't work then they can set up an appointment for me with an Apple Genius and look at my phone.

Yo dude, iphone is awesome i dont know why you wouldn't want your service anymore but still I got an answer. If you don't have a sim card in or no service or anything, your phone would go along just as it is but the only difference is no phone calls and internet on the go. You can still use your apps and wifi and ipod and all of the phone's functions. The only thing you miss is the phone functions such as calls, sms, and the data.

I shut my phone off for a meeting at 4 today and an hour later when I turned it back on everything is working - except the actual phone function. Same goes at home. iPhone talks to home network for all aps but cannot make or recieve actual phone calls. I do not want to reset as I don't have a backup of my contacts from the contacts app. Phone is in endless seach mode, (Verizon Wireless) ???

Suggestions for improving iPhone 3G functionality.

Just made the move a couple of days agoBlackberry to iPhone because of the MobileMe functionality. Besides not having to sync anything, and the visual voicemail, I'm pretty disappointed.
A few suggestions for the next operating system.
-Copy and Paste functionality. Why they don't have this is RIDICULOUS!
-Ability to delete individual calls from call lists. It's already a function in the SMS app, why not have it in phone?.
-Calling from address book (as opposed to clicking into phone, and then contacts). If you create a new address book entry, you should be able to make a call right away.
-The ability to MUTE certain contacts when they call you. This is available on the Blackberry, and has come in very handy.
-Also, while this is not Apple's problem, a functional Facebook app. The blackberry FB app is flawless.
Any other suggestions?

You really did not offend me, it's just that there are a dozen people a day who post the same suggestions. This forum is designed to ask questions of functionality ar problems. Yes, everyone wants MMS, Apple know that. But your really not going to get a constructive response about it here

New iPhone search function totally lame!

I was really looking forward to the new "search" function in iPhone 2.0 update. It is totally lame. It will only look for first and last names. This was easy enough to find before. I need it to find phone numbers and information in my notes (just like the real address book search function does).
Hopefully, some other company will make it work properly with a new App.

How about a search function that can search your calendar? What good is a "datebook" application if you have to remember where you entered a specific event? iPhone is the biggest disappointments ever. HUGE downgrade from my Treo. Glad they had all of the problems launching 2.0 (which should have been considered 1.0beta)- serves them right for being so arrogant about a less-than-ready product (again).

Why dose Canada get left out of everything that makes iPhone fully functional

Why does starbuck in Canada not work with passbook for iPhone 5.. This company makes me sick. Every time we in Canada spend money on a new iPhone we get screwed with lacking software.. All iPhones in the USA work fine and are all fully functional. This is 2012 there's no excuse for bad advertising once again by apple. Your gonna pay for it one day.. Right now apple is big but it will fall if they don't smarten up.

If I change my Apple password as a security precaution because my phone has been lost and switched off, will Find My iPhone still function? That is, will it be able to connect to iCloud, as the password on the phone is still the old one.

My phone is lost – not stolen, and may still be returned. Not long after I lost it, it was switched off, or died (it was at about 6%), so I can't find it using Find My iPhone. I realized I should change all my important passwords, as the passcode can be compromised by various methods. One password I changed was for my Apple account.
Now I'm realizing that I shouldn't have done that. What if the phone comes back online – but my AppleID password has changed; will the phone still be able to connect to Apple with the old credentials so my message is sent?

when you change your Apple iD it's pretty much changing the visual email, i guess that doesn't really answer your question, yes you keep your purchases, it just changes the log-in email and email where newsletters , etc. go to.

I have a 3GS iphone. It was jailbroken and working alright.But I was not able to upgrade its IOS frrom 4.0.1 to higher versions and many applicatopns were not compatible with this version of the IOS. So I decided to do a factory unlocking. From an website, based in Mumbai, I unlocked it. When I check now in different websites from my IMEI number, my iphone is unlocked. So I became happy that I can now upgrade my iphone. But the events turned to be different.When I connected to iTunes, iTunes stopped working and my iphone did not appear in the iTunes. I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes after cleaning previous registry of all relatedd components like Quicktime, Bejour,Apple software updates and mobile softwares. I also used msconfig to troubleshoot conflicts in software of Windows 7 ultimate but still my iTunes is not working, when I connect the iphone. If I do not connect the iphone, iTunes is working alright. Can any friend give me some advice how to proceed. I do not like comments like Jailbreaking is illegal and should not have been done.
