Iphone Alarm Glitch - Again? Phone call 'END' freezing

I set my iphone 4 alarm every night before i go to sleep (so not reoccurring ) and I am certain that occasionally it does not go off. For instance, today i set an alarm at 7.20 and then one for 7.30 and neither went off! ( yes the setting was 'on' ). this has happened a couple of times ,perhaps once or twice a month. What is wrong with my phone?
Also sometimes at the end of phonecalls when i press end the phone freezes and i cant quite hang up immediately What can i do about this?

Both may be happening for the same reason - memory management errors or corrupt data/settings. When was the last time you shut down and restarted the phone?
Do the basic troubleshooting steps described in Appendix B of the iPhone User Guide as needed:
Restart
Reset
Restore with backup
Restore as new

Upgraded my 3Gs iphone to the last version software last week. Started to eperience problems with phone calls after the upgrade. A major problem is When incoming phone calls end, the screen freezes and does not let me do anything even cannot turn the phone off. anybody has a soloution?

I too am experiencing this problem. It's only been a few days now, ever since I upgraded the OS and installed the latest version of iTunes last week.
I don't know what the problem is, but I'm sick of it.
Whenever I MAKE or RECEIVE a call, my screen freezes up and I can't do anything, not even a hard reboot.
I dropped out of a call to someone and when they rang back I couldn't answer it. So very frustrating.
As I write this I've just taken a call from my husband, hung up the call, and now the phone is as useful as a paperweight because I can't get any function to work on it, not even the hard reboot.
If anyone from Apple is listening...What the **** is going on here?????

Iphone 4S buggy with phone calls-is it Apple or the carrier?

I have a carrier that has bad signal, and will be switching carriers later this week. However, this issue is new-I'm not sure if it's connected to the iphone or if it's somehow tied in with the carrier's lack of signal strength. It has only been occuring since the last update, so I am thinking that it's apple
When trying to make a call, my phone freezes to the point where the contact id photo is blurry, but no call time or end call option come up. I can't end the call from the screen. I switched my settings so that I can end a call with the lock screen button, but when I try to do that, it pulls me to the home screen (extremely delayed), and if I try to click on the green bar at the top of the screen to go back to the current call, nothing happens.
Sometimes there is no audio, I can't hear the person I'm calling or the person who has called me. That could be just the carrier, but the freezing up is abnormal. I can't make any phone calls or send/receive texts right now. When my signal is great, the phone is buggy, freezing, closing, etc, so I think it's a mix of both my carrier and the update.
Any advice is welcome,

My iPhone got hacked + potential Phone Call hijacking

Hi everyone, I have a disconcerting issue that I would like to discuss.
My iPhone 3GS just sent out email spam to all contacts by itself. It appears only in the sent mail folder on the iPhone but not on Hotmail in Safari on my Macbook or on an iPod Touch 4G through Exchange (same setup as my iPhone 3GS). How did this happen, anyone? A rogue app? The last app I downloaded 2 nights ago was TalkboxxFx, which is a voice AutoTune app which has access to iPod music which looked quite dodgy on first open. A few adult-looking adverts built in (I didn't click them but suspect so). I've just deleted the app. I've also turned off all data access to confine any leak until the source of this issue is identified.
The other issue is a potential phone call hijacking that occured soon after. I made an international call to party B. I could here Party B but Party B couldn't hear me, they only could hear an UNKNOWN Party C with an Australian accent talking about bank balances. A second call to Party B had two-way conversation with no hint of Party C. This could be crosstalk but I called my provider (Telstra) who said that crosstalk is very unlikely (Faults Department). Also this incident occured about 10 minutes after the first rogue email was sent from my phone.
This could happen to any of us - any help is much appreciated! Thank you.

I don't know how your accounts are set up, but the webmail Hotmail may not be exchange linked and the Sent folder may be local. There are NO local folders on an Exchange account on an iPhone. If the sent email isn't appearing in other Exchange clients, that's where the problem is...
The only way to determine where the sent email are originating is from the server end. You need to contact a Hotmail administrator.

What happens when I'm on FaceTime on my iphone 4s and a phone call comes through?

I've been on FaceTime a few different times when another phone call (not FaceTime call) comes through. I've never tried to answer it. Does the caller hear anything different on their end? Will my voicemail still answer the regualr phone call? Does it notify the caller I'm on FaceTime? Will texts and/or iMessages come through while on FaceTime?

When you receive a phone call during a FaceTime you are prompted to End FaceTime and answer the call or Ignor the call.
If you Ignore the call the caller will be directed to voicemail. They will not know you are on FaceTime, and no messages will be sent unless you explicitly send one yourself.
If you choose to Answer the call FaceTime will end and the call will connect. The person on FaceTime will not know that your on a call now, again unless you explicity tell them. They may call back and you have the option to Ignore them. If you ignore them they get the "Mr. Smith i snot available for FaceTime" message.

Music starts when phone call ends

Everytime I end a phone call music starts to play from my phone. Even if I had no music playing to begin with. How do I get this to stop?

If you are using a headset, it's possible you are ending the call and delivering a single click to the headset "call" button at the same time. That single, short click starts the music.
If that is not the case, try rebooting the phone: Hold the power home buttons down at the same time until you see the apple logo. Ignore the "slide to shut down" message.

Iphone couldn't made phone calls

hi, I'm really need your help with this. I have my iphone for a month and everything was okay since yesterday when i used the Safari. suddenly, the iphone was stuck and it didn't react for some minutes. so, i restarted it, and then for my surprise everything worked fine but the "phone" button. when i pushed on it, the interface of the keyboard opened but it didn't response when i pushed on the numbers or any other application of this interface. since then, i can't make phone calls from the "phone" button, but i can make phone calls from the contact list without the ability to disconnect .I restarted the iphone many times but it didn't change it. I don't want to rush for restore. please help me because in my country there isn't a "genius bar" yet and i don't know what to do.

i know you don't want to do a restore, but i'm sure that theres anything left to try. hopefully it's not a defected touch screen, does that area of the screen work when your in any other menus?
i'd just back up your phone and do a restore personally.

Iphone turn off during phone call

Hi, my iPhone 3GS (with iOS 5.0.1) turn off automatically during normal phone calls (i.e. without hands-free talking) after approx. 5 minutes. After a couple of minutes the iPhone come back to the normal "standby" situation, i.e. I can press the home button and unlock the iPhone to do everthing like normal (without any long phone calls). When I am using hands-free talking (like in the car) the iPhone is working as expected without any malfunction.
This effect was shown up at each call (> 5 min.) since the update to iOS 5. By using of iOS 4 the iPhone has worked as expected.
Who knows about this effect and possible solutions to fix it?

Connect iPhone to Wall Charger for 10 minutes, it may turn ON itself. If still nothing, keep on charger and Reset, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until the iPhone begins to respond.

IPhone 4, unusable as phone because screen freezes

My iPhone4 dropped a call this afternoon and the screen locked on me. Now when I receive or make a call I cannot use the phone because the screen is frozen. I came home and did a restore with the newest operating system, but it did not fix the problem.

Since I last wrote about my phone, I have gone twice to the Genius Bar.
I was asked if I had done a complete restore to factory settings. I went home and did that, but the problem remained. My phone would make and receive calls, but there was no sound and when I tried to answer a call or end a call the screen would freeze.
My second trip to the Genius Bar, I described this problem and they gave me a new phone on the spot saying that since I had done the recommended software fixes, it was a hardware problem. My phone is about three months old so it was under warranty.

Any suggestions on how to keep a call going successfully? During the course of my conversations, my phone calls end..My cheek touches the screen or my chin dials another number. I am very frustrated. I hold the phone in all directions, but still?

The iphone is designed to lock the screen when it is next to your face.
If it is not locking when it is against your ear, then try basic troubleshooting: Restart,reset, restore
Unless you have a case on it. If you have a case, then remove the case and see if that solves it. Otherwise, try basic troubleshooting.
If all fails then make an appointment at the local genius bar or call Apple support to arrange from a replacement.

Look on the bright side, at least your phone starts again! Mine dies and doesnt start again until i plug it in!!!

During call do not touch the black antenna band of the case on the lower left side (when you look at front of iPhone). Death Grip position. In Settings App turn ON 3G, tap Settings App > General > Network > Enable 3G > ON.
