    Merci d'avance.

  • IPhone and Exchange 2007 anyone?

Does anyone use their iPhone with exchange 2007?
    Thanks
    Marc

I am trying to but am running into the following problem:
    1. If you create "contacts" within Outlook 2007 or on the iphone, they will auto sync but...
    2. If you use "Business Contacts" they will NOT sync...why I dont know.
    3. One can not upload contacts via a spreadsheet (.xls) into "contacts" but you can into "Business Contacts". Go figure! I have 12,000 contacts to upload into my iphone and can not get them to sync. I do not want to enter them into "contacts" by hand...
Any help to me and others would be appreciated.

  • IPhone 3GS / Exchange 2007 - One Contact Not Synching

    Hi there,
We have a 3GS phone that is not synchronizing 1 contact (only the one we know of about 250+) when the contact is definitely in the users Outlook 2007 / Exchange 2007 system. As best we can tell, all of the users other contacts our showing up fine on the iPhone.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

The wrong contact Group was selected. Once we selected the Exchange accounts "Contacts" all the accounts were there.

  • Iphone3g, Exchange 2007, pf firewall

Scenario: Iphone 3G, Exchange 2007 update 7-sp1, no front-end server, no ISA server. I have setup the firewall (packet-filter, openbsd) to allow 443 to our internal Exchange 2007 server. I have also setup a verisign certificate for the external public dns name being contacted by the iphone. I am able to access the owa link through the firewall with the iphone, but the Exchange mail cannot verify the account.

You need to install the cert on the phone.

  • Exchange 2007 email on Iphone 4 doesn't render html.

I have two accounts on my iphone 4 one gmail, one exchange 2007. The problem with email coming from our exchange server 2007 show the html code and hyperlinks vs the actually embedded page. But the same email on my gmail account works fine. It seems to be a exchange issue. Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks

Well, try restarting your phone, if that doesn't help, restore it with iTunes.

  • IPhone 4S connected to Exchange 2007 losing appointments

Hey all, my General Manager is having a problem maintaining appointments on his iPhone 4S. He can make an appointment, and he can see it on his iPhone, but when he goes to check his appointment history about half of the appointments are gone. If he opens Outlook and goes to the same date he can see all of his appointments. Googling this gives me a plethora of problems people are having with iPhones and Exchange but nothing matching my situation. He has an iPhone 4S running IOS v5.0.1 (9A406). My Exchange server is a Windows 2003R2 server running Exchange 2007 Server SP 3 Rollup 6. Has anyone found a cure for this particular problem?
    Thanks,
    Joe B

  • Intermittent trouble deleting, moving & sending (Exchange 2007 & iPhone 3G)

    Here's my setup:
I have a Microsoft Server 2008 with Exchange 2007 SP1 running at the office. Firewall forwards the following ports to the server:
    25 (SMTP)
    587 (SMTP Secure)
    110 (POP3)
    995 (POP3 Secured)
    143 (IMAP)
    993 (IMAP Secured)
    80 (Ahsay Backup Software)
8080 (Alternate HTTP for IIS 7)
    443 (HTTPS)
6001-6004 (RPC over HTTP, for Outlook)
Exchange Server is running fine and has a self-signed certificate. I've installed this certificated to client PCs and they all connect to Outlook just fine. OWA is working fine as well. I even went as far as installing the certificate on the iPhone.
The iPhone fails at auto discovery, but that's probably because I never set it up correctly in the server. It then asks for the server, and I give it and specify SSL set to "ON" and the connection seems to be fine. Running 2.2 firmware on all of our iPhones and PUSH email via the Exchange server works great.
The problem comes when users try to delete emails, move emails to another folder, or send emails. I believe deleting a message is the same as moving a message to another folder, so I guess I only have 2 problems. Moving messages and sending messages. I can receive messages just fine. I've tried multiple things, from reconfiguring the mail settings, hard reboots, and even factory restores. But, the problem remains. Sometimes I'll have to delete a message or a group of messages 3 or 4 times before it will actually delete. The message that appears says it's unable to move the message. This had been happening for a few months now, but I just now got time to look into it.
I've hooked one of the iPhones up to Apple's iPhone configuration utility. I put the device into airplane mode and turned on WiFi, that way I would be on the internal LAN in order to rule out the firewall and a bad signal or faulty internet connection. With the iPhone connected to a wireless router and that same router wired directly to our server, I get the same results I get from remote location's WiFi network or the 3G network. Sometimes messages will send or delete immediately and other times it will take 3, 4, 5 or more tries. While in airplane mode, and the device attached to the same LAN as the server, I tell the iPhone to delete a message in the inbox, and this is what is output to the console:
Wed May 27 18:52:00 unknown MobileMail[52] <Warning>: ERROR: The message could not be moved to the mailbox Trash.
    Wed May 27 18:52:00 unknown MobileMail[52] <Warning>: connection died with error Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1005 UserInfo=0x43dc6b0 "lost network connection" 0x43d1410

Also, here is some more logs from earlier when I was messing around trying to delete and check for new mail. I would delete the message and then immediately hit the refresh button in the bottom left of the mail application:
    Wed May 27 18:41:03 unknown MobileMail[52] <Warning>: connection died with error Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1005 UserInfo=0x43a8420 "lost network connection" 0x436a000

You don't need to subscribe to experts exchange in order to read the solutions; only to post. If you scroll down all the way to the bottom, you should be able to see what was said... Either way, here's a copy of what I said:
    On Expert's Exchange, Andrew wrote:
So I just reconfigured our entire server. Ended up putting the domain controller on a separate computer than the Exchange 2007 install. Both computers are running Server 2008. Had lots of trouble getting it setup correctly however. In the end, the problem I was describing above has been fixed. Here are the things I did differently this time around:
    1) Instead of installing Exchange 2007 directly on the domain controller, I installed a second copy of Server 2008 on a second computer, ran the steps necessary to give Exchange access to the Active Directory on the domain controller, and installed Exchange 2007.
    2) Before, I was using a self-signed certificate. Other than the fact that it was much harder to setup email on client computers, it seemed to be working fine, except on Windows Mobile devices. This time around, I got a GoDaddy UC certificate and installed that on the exchange server.
    3) Another big problem I was running into was getting Outlook Anywhere to work. I finally narrowed it down to a Microsoft bug. The fix was to disable TCPIP v6 and also add a registry entry to disable it via the registry as well. After doing so, the website https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com no longer complained about not being able to ping port 6004. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with my original problem on the iPhone, but it is something I did differently this time around.
That's all I can remember for the time being... With my new setup, however, my issue has been resolved and I'm very relieved.
I have a collection of hyper-links I kept each time I found information on the web that either helped solve a problem during my new setup or ones which I thought might help me understand the way things work. If you've exhausted all other resources and just can't seem to get things working, I guess you could skim over these:

  • Exchange 2007 SP1 with GoDaddy Cert - iPhone cannot verify cert

    Hi Everyone,
My school has just moved to Exchange 2007 and I'm trying to connect my iPhone to it. We haven't changed any settings on the Exchange server really that relates to ActiveSync (at least as far as I can tell). We're using a GoDaddy wilcard SSL cert with the site for OWA and (I hope) ActiveSync.
From what I can see, Apple has included all of the GoDaddy Intermediate and Root certs in OS 3. I have manually installed these certs again on my iPhone (the one I'm testing with) by emailing them to myself. This hasn't helped with the issue...
When trying to add the Exchange account on the iPhone I'm getting an "Unable to Verify Certificate" error. The error makes no mention of autodiscovery (which it should be using), so I'm not sure if it has anything to do with that. I'm really not sure what to do at this point since we're all new to Exchange, and I only have used my iPhone through Exchange with Google in the past.
    Thanks,
    -MRCUR

Ever hear anything back on this? I too have an iPhone (3G) and would like to connect it to a GoDaddy Exchange server. No luck so far.

  • Help with Exchange 2007, Active Sync and iPhone 3g - software 2.0.2

    Hello good evening and *******
Now that's said, is anyone else having 'issues' with this?
I'm on install number ten of Exchange 2007 and god knows how many different variations of trying to connect to it on the phone. I can get OWA working on the phone and via the web both on the phone and via my home pc, i've had Outlook at home working and i've had Outlook at work working. Honestly when it works, it's seamless and very very quick however i'd like it to work for longer than a day and have some faith that it will do so.
What I keep finding is that for some reason, despite nothing changing on the server or the phone is that Active Sync eventually fails and for no apparent reason. The longest i've had it working is just over a day ( yesterday) and last night it packed up again.
I think it's something to do with certificates / dns but that's purely guesswork as I thought i'd fixed it last time by setting up the FQDN to point at both internal and external network cards on our internal network.
I would also like to point out that Exchange2007 has been working perfectly throughout all of this, it's just the iPhone / ActiveSync part that dies - unsurprisingly this is the most important bit for me as that's the bit our sales force will be relying on when we transfer to exchange.
I'm no Mac 'fan' and i'm not that much in love with Windows but there seems to be something amiss between Apple and Microsoft and due to the iPhones complete lack of diagnostic logging further compounded by silent error messages i'm at a loss to find out where / why / when it's breaking.
Is there a 2.0.3 update due which will address this problem?
In the meantime i'm off to install Exchange ..... again, set up security certificates ... again ..... and see if it will fix what's broken .... again

    And now it's working!!!
I changed the following in IIS.
Default website - Microsoft Server ActiveSync Properties
virtual directory - read access enabled
directory security - integrated windows authentication, digest authentication, basic authentication enabled
    realm - set to mydomain.com
Changed the same things for OWA
That appears to have done the trick but i've been here before so i'll see if it stays working over the weekend.
As a phone ... i'm impressed, as a web enabled device, i'm impressed but as a Corporate Tool ..... i've yet to be impressed, largely due to the complexity of integration into exchange.

Assuming you are not manually managing your music, verify the following:
You are using the latest version of iTunes
On the summary tab of your iTunes sync settings you have checked "Sync only checked songs and videos"
In your music library you have checked all the songs you want to sync to your phone
There are no exclamation points next to any of the songs you want to sync to your phone
You have authorized your computer for all Apple IDs for purchased music you want to sync to your phone (in Store>Authorize this computer)
You have checked "Sync Music" on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings
When everything looks correct, sync your phone.
