IPhone (not my iCloud account but still has my info and settings on it), able to transfer stuff to correct iCloud on my newer MBA?
This is how it is: Ive been using an iPhone (and cuz I didnt have a usable CC at the time) I used my gf's account and name, pw for this iCloud. CUrrently there is so much info on it I can;t lose - contacts, pix, apps etc.
Now I bought a MBA that I did set up with my own info, the iCloud with my name and pw. However it syncs to nothing. Is there a way to transfer the phone info so its universally shared on the cloud AND switching my phone account so it matches with the one I created so everythings tidy?

No, unfortunately you cannot just transfer everything of your data to a new account. It should work with contacts and some other data, but not with everything. You could try to delete your girlfriend's account from your phone (Settings > iCloud > Delete Account) and choose the option to keep the data for e.g. contacts on your phone. After you sign in using your new account, you will be asked, if you want to merge the data on your phone with your new account. Photos, the one that are stored locally, will be still on your phone.

Be sure you are checking the email account that you used to set up the Apple ID you used to create the iCloud account. Also, be sure to check your spam/junk folder as well as your inbox. The email you should receive looks like the image below. When you get it, click the Verify Now link.
If it still isn't there, try going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right look for a link to resend the verification email. -

OK, so you did turn on PhotoStream on your device. On iCloud.com there is no setting for PhotoStream - it is not needed. PhotoStream only get "turned on" on a device or a computer (in the computer settings - not on the website).
So, once it is turned on, you take a picture, and it may take a few minutes before you see it in the PhotoStream on your phone. If you take a couple of pics and they don't show up, say within a half an hour, then you might want to do a reset on your phone (press the Home and Power buttons at the same time, and hold them down until the silver Apple appears - you won't lose anything by doing this....) Once it comes back up, you could try a couple more pics, or check the PhotoStream to see if the ones you took previously are there.
Not sure about the option at the bottom of the Photo App - I think it is a permanent item (like Places - I don't use Places for my photos, but it is there all the same.
I agree with you that it is a great backup for your photos - especially if you don't regularly sync to a computer. PhotoStream will keep up to 1000 of your photos, so it's good insurance against losing them. Just as a major user of the camera on my iPhone, I would recommend that you do back up to your computer as well. Videos are not saved in PhotoStream, so those would be lost if anything ever happened to your phone and you had not backed up to a computer....
But don't give up on PhotoStream either - it's not only great for backing up those last 1000 photos, it is also great for sharing between devices (say, if you have an iPad).
So, give it another try, and if you have any questions, post back!

i bought iphone on donedeal.ie it had no icloud account on it. i erased content and settings as previous owner had photos on it.icloud appearing after erased content. Stuck on activation screen now

Theres no issue with the mother board. It's the activation lock look at the link I provided.
There is nothing you or Apple can do without the previous owners icloud information.

Two iPhones, Two iCloud accounts, but still sharing apps
Right now, my wife and I have an iPhone 4 (hers), an iPad, and an iPod Touch.
By the end of this week I am getting an iPhone 4S.
Right now, all of the devices have been hooked up to one Apple ID (mine). So we are able to sync and share all apps, music, photos, etc, between the iOS device and iTunes, then to the other iOS decies.
Once I get my own iPhone, I'd like to keep our contacts and photos separate, but still share our music and apps. Is this possible with iCloud/iTunes now?
I did some searching and couldn't get a clear answer. It seems like I may be able to do this by creating a new Apple ID for me to use on iCloud, but still using the old Apple ID for iTunes purchases. So the setup would look like:
Wife's iPhone: iCloud and iTunes both using same (old) Apple ID
My iPhone: iCloud using new Apple ID, iTunes using old Apple ID
Would this work? I think it might.. but I'm not sure if over-the-air updates would allow for this.
Essentially we want to just share music and apps, and keep contacts and photos separate.

That's up to you. You either sync contacts & calendars over the air with iCloud or with supported applications on your computer...do not do both at the same time...that will create a mess...one or the other. As for photos, Photo Stream is not the same as syncing photos...read here:

Hello, I have no idea if my question went out, so I'll post it again. I have two iPads (one 3rd gen and one 4th) that use the same iTunes/store account. I want the two devices to game with each other, but the apps recognize them as the same. I have created two different iCloud accounts in an attempt to differentiate between the two, but no luck. How can I continue to use the same iTunes/store account for music and movies, but also have the two devices recognize each other for games?
You can share your iTunes ID and still have separate iCloud accounts with separate IDs, they don't have to be the same. If you kids don't already have an iCloud account, have them set up separate accounts on their devices using separate IDs. If they are already sharing your account, migrate their devices to separate accounts. To do this, start by saving any photo stream photos they wish to keep to ther camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward pointing arrow), then tap Save to Camera Roll. If they are syncing notes with iCloud, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to them so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in their new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from thier device and won't effect your device), choose Keep on My iDevice and provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone (if using iOS 7). Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create their new account and choose Merge to upload the data. Once everyone is on a separate account you can go to icloud.com from your computer, sign into each account separately and delete your data from their account.

I updated my mac with os x Lion so that I could accomplish moving my address book from the mac to my new IPad 3G. I also set up an icloud account for this purpose, but I *still* cannot figure out how to move my address book from one computer to the other. When I'm on my mac and try to use bluetooth to export the address book, I'm able to find my ipad but I soon get a message that it does not support the necessary services. The address book syncs via iCloud, not Bluetooth or iTunes.
You upgraded to Lion so you could use iCoud.
On the computer. go to Apple menu > System prefs > iCloud.
Sign into your iCloud account.
Tick everything.
This enalbes the se items syncing to iCloud.
On the iPad, Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Create a new iCloud account.
Sign in with the same AppleID as your computer.
Settings > iCloud and turn everything on.
BAM!
That is all you need to do.
Your contacts (and all other checked items checked) will sync between computer and iPad.
No need to use iTunes -
How do I change my iCloud account so it has my name and not my husbands.
When I started my iCloud account it was my email with my husbands address. How do I correct the name.
On my imac when I go to System Preferences/icloud/account details a name comes up which is not linked to any account information originally entered onto the account. This name also appears on sirrus anwers on both mine and my partners iphones. How can I delete this name and re-enter an appropriate name? I have gone through System Preferences/ICloud/Manage Acoounts etc with no luck.
If it's a case of deleting the account and reinstalling a new account will that delete streamed photos from the existing icloud account?

I still want my kids to be able to download on each device the games or songs purchased by the other one....so I don't think I want to create separate iTunes and iCloud accounts for each.
Just use a different Apple ID for iMessage. You can continue to share the same ID for iTunes and use separate IDs for other services such as iMessage, FaceTime, iCloud, etc.
Have them go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with separate IDs. To prevent getting each other's FaceTime calls, do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime. -

No, that cant be reset. You won't be able to create a new account using that device. Your only options are to either re-use one of the accounts previously created on it, or create a new account using a different iOS device or Mac, if you have one.

Need to delete icloud account, but I changed my email and password
I changed my iCloud login information to my new email address, and now I can't change my iCloud account on my iPhone because it's still using the old email address. When prompted for the password it fails because the ID/email address is no longer tied to my account and is no longer even a valid email address.
How can I change my iCloud account without these credentials?If the old iCloud ID ("email address") is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I have had the same apple ID for years but I had to change my emails around including my iCloud, I wasn't entirely sure how to do this at first so I just set up a new apple ID with the new iCloud email address that I wanted. When I realised how difficult it was going to be to transfer my data onto the new account, I decided to stick with my old apple ID but change the email. The only issue is it is associated with the iCloud/Me email addresses that I no longer wish to use. Is there anyway to remove them from my current account and use my newest iCloud email address instead? Or at the very least create another one to link to my original apple ID? Sorry if this is a bit of a mess, I've been trying for hours and I'm so confused...

I do not have a MobileMe account. Yet, when trying to upload photos from iPhoto to FaceBook I get repeated messages, "Difficulty connecting to MobileMe." This is after the rainbow wheel spins for a while. Sometimes I have to force quit iPhoto because iPhoto locks up. This also happens on occasion while I'm working in iPhoto, such as moving between albums or editing features. I use iPhoto '11 with latest updates. How can I resolve this issue?

If you've resolved the issue by turning off syncing then no further troubleshooting is needed. Having syncing turned off will prevent you from syncing an iOS device over USB with calendars / contacts. The only time iPhoto talks to MobileMe is if you have a MobileMe account added (as far as I am aware).
If you wish to troubleshoot further:
I checked out my User>Library>Caches and >Preferences. Neither had a >com.apple.iphoto file.
These must exist otherwise iPhoto would not be working at all as they are required for it to launch. Lets try another route to get to the same location.
Click on the Finder icon in the dock (smiley face)
Go to "Go" > "Home" at the top of the computer screen
Double-click "Library"
Double-click "Caches"
Go to "View" > "As List" at the top of the computer screen
-- This list should now be alphabetical...if not click on the column called "Name" to alphabatize
-- Locate a blue folder called "com.apple.iphoto" and remove to the trash
