IPhone SDK 3.1.3 XCode 3.2.1 Snow Leopard update (lcrt1.10.6.o not found)

Today I downloaded the iPhone SDK 3.1.3 XCode 3.2.1 Snow Leopard update.
After installing it, I looked in the Project Info. In the Deployyment section, the "Mac OS X Deployment Target" is set to "Max OS X 10.5".
Naturally, as fussy I am, I changed it to Mac OS X 10.6, which is what I want. After Building, it reports an ld error: i.e.
ld: library not found for -lcrt1.10.6.o
Why does this happen? Did others have the same experience?
Is this normal or how to fix? (Other than the obvious step to go to look for the missing library and try to install it myself).

I have an iMAC G5 PowerPC (not Intel) running10.5.8.  I sync my iphone to iTunes - but just learned I must have Snow Leopard to do so for my new iPhone 5S.     Yet I can't install Snow Leopard as the G5 is not Intel.   What do I do?  How do I move music and pics?  And keep them synced up as I purchase more?

Sorry, but that is correct. You need Snow Leopard to sync your phone and the latest version of iTunes and you old G5 cannot run that.

  • How do you create a "DEVELOPER PROFILE" in xcode (4.2 on Snow Leopard)?

How do you create a "DEVELOPER PROFILE" in xcode (4.2 on Snow Leopard)? I accidentally deleted it from Keychain Access.

I'm not sure what you mean by Developer Profile, but you can create a provisioning profile in Xcode 4 from the Organizer. Click the Organizer button in the project window toolbar. Click the Devices button at the top of the Organizer. Select Provisioning Profiles from the left side of the Organizer.
If you need to create something other than a provisioning profile, you may need to go to Apple's iOS developer center, sign in, and create what you need from there.

  • XCode 4.2 for Snow Leopard?

Where can I find XCode 4.2 for Snow Leopard?  Lots of sites assure me I can find it
at the Downloads for Apple Developers (and I'm pretty sure I found it there
for my other computer), but when I look now, there's only 4.2 for Lion and
    3.x.x for Snow Leopard.
Is there somewhere else I can find it?
    Thanks.

So it used to be free and now you have to pay for it?  I'm sure the fanboys will explain that that's really cool of Apple to do that, but it strikes me as pretty dickish.
I'm sure I can dig up an old copy at work somewhere on Monday.

  • Any new info about being able to sync my iphone 4 with the Palm Desktop on macs running snow leopard?

Any new info about being able to sync my iphone 4 with the Palm Desktop on macs running snow leopard? Why doesn't someone take a a few hours and write a workaround so I can sync all my info including my Palm notes to my iphone via Palm Desktop without putting it in the clouds or making it complicated?  : (

I feel your pain.  I am a long time user of Palm Desktop/Claris Organizer and have an iPhone that I really can't sync except by doing an export and import into iCal, etc.  You might try Missing Sync.  I have been working intermittently with writing a replacement for Palm Desktop, but I've only gotten as far as dumping out the information for everything (except repeating appointments) as an XML file.

  • Why can't I download Xcode 4.2 for Snow Leopard?

    Hi there,
I login to Apple Developer and click Download Xcode 4.2 (Snow Leopard) but I'm just presented with an Access Denied page... Do you know why this happens?
    Best Regards,
    Jens

    Thank you very much :-)
I just checked it again and here's what I've done:
    1) Browse to developer.apple.com
    2) Choose iOS Dev Center
    3) Log In
    4) Go down to the Downloads Section on http://developer.apple.com/devcenter/ios/index.action and click on Xcode 4.2 for Snow Leopard download link.
    5) The link is download.apple.com//Developer_Tools/xcode_4.2_with_ios_5_sdk/xcode_4.2_and_ios_ 5_sdk_for_snow_leopard.dmg but instead of downloading the file, I'm presented with an Access Denied page:

    /Developer/Applications/
Use the installer as intended and don't casually move things (any things) to other locations.
Otherwise, you'll have tons of these types of issues for a long, long, long, long...did I say 'long'? ...time.

Unless you are trying to Tether, you can't pair an iPhone with any computer, by Bluetooth. File transfer, by Bluetooth, has never been supported on an iOS device.

  • Uninstalling Xcode 3.0 in Snow Leopard

I recently installed Xcode 3.0, but I found out to upgrade to the latest version I had to uninstall the current version first. I read in the manual of Xcode that it could be done by typing the following command in terminal:
    sudo /Developer/Library/uninstall-devtools --mode=all
but it gives me the following error:
ERROR: Can't locate uninstaller script /Library/Developer/3.0/uninstall-devtools
    Can't determine system version.
    Can't determine system version.
The file /Library/Developer/3.0/uninstall-devtools seems to be missing. even when I copy this file from /Library/Developer/shared/ to this directory I again get the error:
    Can't determine system version.
    Can't determine system version.
    Any help is appreciated.

Reinstalling XCode 3.0 on 10.6 definitely doesn't fix this uninstall script - it's simply hard coded to not recognize 10.6. Also, installing XCode 3.2.1 does not "install over" XCode 3.0. I had at least 2 gigs less space than I previously had when I tried that, though 3.2.1 did work fine.
I'm not sure how safe it is, but on Snow Leopard I edited /Library/Developer/3.0/uninstall-devtools and just commented out (using the # symbol) the lines that check for system version, leaving the line that sets system version to 10.5 uncommented. Then I ran 'sudo /Library/Developer/3.0/uninstall-devtools' and it ran through the script without errors.
After that I dragged /Developer to the trash and emptied the trash. Rebooting showed no obvious errors. I installed XCode 3.2.1 and ended up with only a little less free hard drive space than when I had 3.0 installed. The new xcode installation seems to work fine.
I would recommend booting off the OSX install CD and using Disk Utility to make a disk image (.dmg) of your hard drive to an external drive that can be restored (also using Disk Utility from the boot disk) just in case all this breaks something on your system.

  • I need to transfer playlists from my old iphone into itunes so that I can then add them to my new iphone 6.  However, none of the playlists on my iphone appear when I connect to my macbook.  I have read other threads but have not found answer.  help!

I am a group exercise instructor and rely heavily on my playlists.  My old phone is an iphone 4s and I just bought an Iphone 6.  I also have a macbook where I keep my itunes account, but I create all my playlists on my phone.  I need to transfer those playlists from my old iphone into itunes in my computer so that I can then add them to my new iphone 6.  However, none of the playlists on my iphone appear when I connect to my macbook.  I have read other threads where the suggestion was to attach the old phone to itunes, find the phone in itunes and click the little arrow to the left to show the playlists.  Then right click on the playlist and export it, saving it to the desktop, to then import it into itunes.  However, in my case, the playlists do not show up when the phone is connected to itunes.  I have clicked on the little arrow and all I get is "music", "purchased", etc., but none of my playlists.   I'm sure some years back I probably deleted something in my itunes library and now none of my playlists show.  Please help me.  I would hate to have to recreate all of my playlists.  Thank you!

I know it sounds weird, and that is the reason I posted my question.  Because my case is not like all the ones I've found online and it's confusing.  I added a screen capture of my itunes with my old iphone (the one that houses my playlists) connected to it.
My playlists "ARE"  in my iphone 4s.  They are still there even though they do not show up when I plug in to itunes in my computer.
When connecting my phone to itunes on my macbook, the playlists do not appear anywhere in itunes.  I have found my connected iphone icon, I have clicked on the arrow next to it and it does pull up the standard lists that come with the iphone/itunes:  Music, Movies, TV shows, books.  That's it! below that is "Genius" and below "Geniuns" is "PLAYLISTS"  but the only playlist of mine that shows there is one that I created several years back titled "90's music" and that one I created it on my computer, not my phone.  Under "90's music" there are also other standard playlists that itunes automatically adds.
Does anyone else have this issue or know how to get around this.  I am starting to think that I am going to have to recreate these lists on my computer

  • My iTunes got deleted off a (no longer working) computer. Is there a way I can transfer all content from my iPhone onto iTunes on a new computer? I want to update my phone, but do not want to lose any music off it when syncing it.

My iTunes got deleted off a (no longer working) computer. I have lost all music & data that was on this original itunes. Is there a way I can transfer all content from my iPhone (music & photos) onto iTunes on a new computer? I want to update my iphone (3GS), but do not want to lose any music off it when syncing it. Help please!!

By design, the iphone will sync itunes content with one computer at a time. Any attempt to sync such content with a second computer will result in ALL itunes content being first erased from your phone & then replaced with the content from the second computer. This is a design feature and cannot be overridden. Because you are using a new computer, your phone will see this computer as a "new" computer. The itunes content sync is one way: computer to phone. If you have photos that were synced to your phone or music ripped on your own that were not backed up, you will first have to extract them from your phone using third party software, before you do anything else, as Apple makes no provision to do so:
    http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy/index.php
Once you've done that, do the following in the order specified:
    1. Disable auto sync when an iPod/iPhone is connected under iTunes>Preferences(under the edit menu if using Windows)>Devices in itunes.
    2. Make sure you have one contact & one event in the supported applications(Address Book & iCal or Outlook, Windows Address Book) on your computer. These entries can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs not be empty.
    3. Connect your phone, iTunes running, DO NOT SYNC at this point.
    4. Store>Authorize this computer.
    5. File>Transfer Purchases(To make sure all purchased content on your phone will be in your itunes library).
    6. Right click in the device pane & select reset warnings.
    7. Right click again and select backup.
    8. Right click again & select restore from backup, select the backup you just made. When prompted to create another backup, decline.
    9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore your itunes content, which you select from the various tabs, You'll get a popup regarding your contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select merge.
You should be good to go.
