IPhone turns off at 25-30% battery left.

My iPhone turns off with 25% battery left and it wont turn back on until I plug it in! I have no idea what's causing this!

^^IGNORE THAT^^
same problem but mine turns off when using camera with 10-45% of battery remaining
shows flat battery animation
will NOT turn back on until i plug charger in, then it turns on immediately showing 10-45% of battery
seen far too many people/posts here about this with NO solution
i had a new battery fitted 10 days ago and its still happening
so its NOT the battery and NOT the firmware
care to explain apple?
or refund me the £300 upfront payment for the device + £38 per month for 2 years!!!!
+ battery replacement fee?
i know its OUTRAGEOUS that im paying this much for a faulty device but my pointless 1 year warranty is no longer valid

  • Phone turns off with lots of battery left

My iPhone 4S has taken to turning off with as much as 30% power left. When I plug it in again and it comes back up, it will indicate the same power percentage. I have made it a habit of draining the battery at least once a month and then fully charging it (probably that happens more than once a month), so I feel like I've been properly maintaining the battery. I got this when the 4S came out, so it's as old as the 4S model is. Oddly, if I'm on the phone this does not happen. It will run down to 1%. Maybe that's coincedence, maybe not.
It's quite irritating - isn't this supposed to be the software/hardware that "just works"? - when you're doing something important and this happens. Today two armadillos appeared in our back yard and I was shooting some video of them. I got a low battery warning - I'm not sure if it was the 10% or 20% warning - but then right after clearing it, the phone shut down. I had some good video, but instead of using the remaining power to save the video, the video was just lost. I had never seen armadillos up close like that and was wanting that video to show my son and some other people, but now due to this problem that video is gone. Thanks a lot, Apple!

Sounds like there is a hardware problem - likely with the battery.

  • Power/sleep button broken... iPhone turned off with still some battery, how do i get it to turn back on?

my power button on my iphone 4 is broken/stuck. phone turned off but not because of empty battery so charging does not help to turn in back on. i cannot get the phone to come on. what can i do?

Does the iPhone charge at all or does it stay on the low battery display?

  • IPhone turns off with half of battery

My phone has been acting weird for some time. When the phone's battery reaches half it will turn off and if I turn it on again it wont stay on. But what I noticed is that if I turn on airplane mode this random turning off wont happen. In airplane mode I even turn on wi-fi and I dont get any problems. It's just when the "phone" (or network or whatever) is turned on that it turns off with half of the battery. I already restored it and it didn't help.

If restoring your iPhone with iTunes has not resolved it and you are in the U.S., you can call AppleCare at (800) 694-7466, or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

How do you know this works ?
Thnx for the answer, trying it right now
sounds like the battery meter might be off...i noticed that on mine at first as well...
iphones just wont do anything when they are below a certain level of charge... letting it charge for 10 - 15 mins will let the screen pop on showing its charging.
i would let it charge up to full since it did this... perhaps that will let the os "calibrate" its meter to the battery.

  • If my iphone turns off it might be the battery

my iphone turns off and when turn it back on, it tells me that needs to be connect it to power oulet it shows that it doesnt have battery and my iphone only works when its connect to power oulet

Mine is the same way.  7.1 didn't fix it. Sometimes turns off above 60% and requires power to turn on and stay on. Once power is connected and it turns on, it operates as normal and the power is back to whatever it was before it shutdown.

  • My iphone 4S Black 16 GB with IOS 7.0.4 turns off randomly in low battery less than 15% and also when I am taking pictures from my front camera in low battery of 30%. This is happening very often. Can someone help here with advise?

Either your battery is failing or your battery gauge needs to be recalibrated. Start by recalibrating:
When it shuts off charge for just a minute or two, then restart (hold HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears). Deliberately run the battery down until the phone shuts off at 1%. If it shuts off above 1% repeat the above until you get to 1%. Then charge for 4 hours with the wall charger without using the phone. This process will recalibrate the battery gauge.
To prevent this from happening again about once a month run the battery all the way down to 1%, then continue until the phone shuts off. Apple recommends this in their battery help article, but they don't say why you should do it. The have some hokum about "keeping the electrons moving." Honestly! The iPad battery tip gives the correct reason.
If this does not resolve the problem you most likely need a new battery. If you are near an Apple store take the phone in and they can test the battery for you.

  • IPhone turns off, thinking it has run out of battery

From time to time (every second or third day) my iPhone turns off thinking it has run out of battery. This is despite the battery % stating it still has a significant amount of power remaining. I have seen it turn off at 17%, 25% and today 38%. When I try to turn it back on by holding down the on/off butting, the screen displays the out of battery screen, telling me to plug it into a charger. When I plug it into a charger, the phone comes back on, and already has the same amount of charge as it did before it turned off. So in today's case when I plugged it back it, and it powered up, the phone had 38% of battery immediately.
What can I do to fix this so the phone uses all its battery life?
    Thanks

For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).

    Hey bbkae
Continue you troubleshooting with the article below to check the health of your battery. I would try to run hardware diagnostics on it to see if it passes the test.

  • My iPhone turns off whenever it goes into standby mode and has to be turned back on to work

My iPhone turns off whenever it goes into standby mode and has to be turned back on to work

That's normal behavior. It turns off automatically in order to preserve the battery. Pushing the On/Off button turns it on immediately. This also requires entering the passcode and prevents the phone from being accessed by anyone but you.

My iphone turns off and on repeatedly and wont charge?

Do you place the ipod in the dock during the night? I did this once and the other day the battery was almost empty because it kept on playing after it rested in the dock.

  • My iphone turned off by itself and it doesn't turn on

My iphone turned off by itself and it doesn't turn on, What should i do????

IIf the battery was completely drained it might take some time before the phone will respond. Wait at least 30 minutes with the phone connected to the charger. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. If the phone starts up let it continue to charge until it's 100%.
if the broken button will not let you do the reset Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

  • DxO v8 vs. Lr4

Just tried DxO v8 (first time since v6) Results: * v8 seems a little better than v6 (I didn't do a rigorous comparison, to say the least), but overall I still much prefer Lr4. Still, DxO's lens vignette correction is close to perfect, whereas Lightro
