Iphone4 unlock attempt backfired

as i was trying to unlock the phone it crashed now when i try to start it it asks for a sim from the service provider..... i know this is wrong but would like to rectify it if i ave to bare the charges.... is there a way to get the iphone4 up and running it starts asks for directions.... connects to wifi.... then it does not go ahead of that it gives an error tried connecting to i tunes but can not install it....

I was watchin a video on youtube followed everything installed sam but it did not get unlocked as it did not have a Immid or something then my brother went for a factory reset or so..... The phone rebooted.... First it asked for direction.... Then wifi..... Then says updating will take while.... After that where u shld recive the opt for language it says u.able to activate need sim from provider.... The phone is from canada.... All i want is to install the software.....

I've been trying to unlock my 6650 without success. So far I've tried 3 codes. Before I try any more, is there a way to rest the counter that counts the attempts back to zero? I don't want to hit the max # of attempts.
Does anyone know the precess of linking the phone to a computer with a cable and unlocking it that way, just in case I do get to the maximumof 5 attempts. I'm not interested in taking it to a "pro"
just to have it unlocked.

To unlock/derestrict your phone from AT&T, you first need to get the restriction code from AT&T. Once you have the code, follow the instructions described in this link to unlock your phone. It is not possible to reset the number of unlock attempts.

The online store is not yet accepting pre-orders for the unlocked iPhone 4S. Just says "coming in November" but you cannot add one to a shopping cart and complete a pre-order at this time.
I would also highly doubt they will allow an individual to pre-order 30 of them. Usually, for such limited items, the limit is 2 per order. I'm sure schools, business and other organizations are able to bulk order large lots, but I've never heard of Apple allowing individual consumers to do this sort of purchasing.

Can someone please explain and help me? I am unlocking an iphone4 from at&t to use it on the straight talk network. They've confirmed my request to do this and I am now a little confused as to what to do next. They want me to back up the phone using itunes on either a MAC or PC. Install iTunes on your Acer and you can back up the iPhone. Or back it up to iCloud. If you do not back it up you can get it unlocked, but you will lose all of your content.

Even after unlocking I'm not sure it will work on Straight Talk, because last time I checked ST used Verizon as its carrier, and an AT&T iPhone 4 is not compatible with Verizon's network. You can probably use it on Net 10 or T-Mobile once it is unlocked.

Verizon may or may not be able to unlock your phone anymore. It is a service provided to their customers. People may think they can buy an iphone at a deep discount and leave the country forever without paying any cancelation fee. Try Apple stores to see if they can help you.

Only one unlock attempt left - help

I have a BB 8900 which is locked to Orange in the UK and wish to change to Vodafone with whom I have an Internet access account. I do not have an account with Orange and therefore no Orange SIM card.
I have obtained one unlock number from a provider and that did not work. I went to another one who gave me four numbers to try, including the one I already had and none of them worked.
I have carefully checked the IMEI number and it is correct.
I now have only one attempt left and as I understand it, once that is used up, there are no further chances. If I get a new Orange SIM card will that restore the number of attempts to 10?.
What can I do please. Any ideas would be welcome.
Since my original posting I have done a factory reset using KB 18998 on the BB Technical Solution Centre, which entails connecting the Blackberry to the computer and using Command Prompt. The factory reset was carried out ok , but the number of attempts remains as one unfortunately. Is there any way in which the number of attempts can be restored to 10 please.

Managed to get it unlocked. A highly specialised procedure which had to be done very carefully because there was only one attempt left and there was no way back. Highly recommended and helpful unlocker.

The problem with the unlock codes I had been provided with did not work with the 2010 Security and MEP-07723-007 should have been used instead of MEP- 07723-003. (don't ask I don't know what it means).

Hi! I requested my iPhone4's unlock code from my carrier(Vodafone Portugal), about a day after they confirmed it with an sms code saying I should expect an update with Apple, but never received anything from Apple. Any ideas?

You will get nothing from Apple. Next step is to Restore your iPhone with current iTunes on your computer. At end iTunes will tell you congatulations your iPhone is unlocked. That is all, done.

I purchased an iphone4 last year and used it for about 6 months with AT&T. After that for certain reasons i re-located to Bangalore, India. I paid the contract termination fees and legally out of the contract now. Can i get my phone unlocked? I sent an email to AT&T with the IMEI number but the responded back stating - 'The unlock code for this device is unavailable due to security restrictions based on the device's history. You may want to return the device and/or provide feedback to the seller.'. Please advise if there is any way to get this sorted.

Guys...after couple of followups with AT&T, here is their latest reply - 'After futher review of your previous account with at&t the imei for the phone that was purchased for mobile ending in 4356 doesn’t match the imie you provided ending in 6074'. This is absolutely rubbish. I even have the original bill and the serial number also matches. How are they saying that the IMEI number is not matching as per their records?

Droid Bionic, Stuck on too many unlock attempts gmail login screen

My nephew was playing on my phone trying to get into it and it seems he locked me out pretty good. As far as I can figure, this is what happened. He tried to unlock it several times. He then tried the Forgot Password button. He must have tried to some incorrect emails and passwords. Then he turned it off and on, probably multiple times, and then gave it back to me.
I turned it on, and I tried to log in a few times, but it wouldn't work. I then noticed that for some reason, it was in Airplane Mode. Then I remembered the trouble I had when I was trying to register when I got the phone, because I had the 2-step authentication turned on, and couldn't get registered. So I finally got my backup code, and was able to login to my gmail account, and turned off the 2-step authentication.
The only problem is, now when I try to login, it still tells me Invalid Username or Password. I am wondering if that is because it is in Airplane Mode, and can't connect to Google's servers.
What is going to be the easiest solution here, just take it in to a Verizon Wireless store, or do a hard reset?

Power the device off.
Press and hold the Power button then select Power off
If the device isn't responding Remove / replace the battery
Press and hold Volume down and Volume Up, the press Power
Display shows Available boot modes
Normal powerup
Recovery
AP Fastboot
BP SBF Flash
BP Only
AP BP USB Bypass
BP Tools
Use volume down to scroll to "Recovery", press Volume up to select
Once display shows Android triage screen, press Volume up & Down at the same time
Display shows Android Recovery
Options are:
Reboot System now
Apply Update from SDCard
Wipe data / Factory Reset
Wipe Cache partition
Use volume down to scroll to Wipe Data/factory Reset, press power to select
Display shows Confirm Wipe of all user data - This can not be undone
Use volume down to scroll down to YES - Delete All data - Press Power to Select
Device will perform format wipe
Display then shows Android System Recovery
Ensure reboot system now is selected then press the Power button to select
