IPhone6 edited pics not updating in Aperture iCloud

Got a problem:
I take a pic on my new iPhone6 which shows up on my iCloud in Aperture. I then edit said picture on my iPhone and it looks great, but the pic does not update on the iCloud. Is this a bug in here?

On your iPhone 6 you probably have iOS 8 installed, right? In the previous iOS versions you need simply to save a copy of the edited version to the Camera Roll and it would stream to your photo libraries on your Mac, but with the new Photos.app duplicating does no longer work this way. I have not yet found a way to create a second, edited version, so this version will stream back.

Photo stream not updating after Aperture update

I installed ML and after I did that saw there was an update for Aperture 3. So, I updated to 3.3.2. Now, when I open up Photo Stream, it does not update. My phone and iPad both update with the stream but not Aperture. I checked all my settings and that is enabled. Any clue as to the problem?

I have to wonder if this problem is somehow server related. I did had this problem, even over multiple restarts of Aperture. I fired up Aperture this morning and the sync worked.
A couple of things that may contribute:
1. This is a start of a new month. I wonder if that played into it.
2. I rename my Photo Stream Project so that they will display in order alphabetically. Can't say if I had renamed a project of an active month previously, but I know i did that for July. The funny thing is my renamed July Project still synced correctly. In the future, I think I'll wait until the month is over to rename the project.

Multiclip editing does not update Canvas window with active angle

Hi,
I am trying to do some multiclip editing but for some reason when cutting between angles the canvas viewer does not update with the video. Once I stop playback the cuts are all created properly and the video changes when playing back again. However, when editing the video does not change to the active angle. The audio changes but the video does not.
I have the multiclip playback setting in RT enabled and the canvas and viewer windows synced and matching each other when playing back, and video + audio is set in the sync menu.
I'm now stuck! and would greatly appreciate some help.

Welcome to the family.
I don't mean to brush you off because I understand your frustration. But what we know about mutliclip is that it really does work, if you follow the rules completely. We also know that most of the "multiclip doesn't work" posts are resolved by encouraging the user to be objective and to simply recheck the setup steps in the manual, one at a time. (Editorially speaking: There are too many of them, there are too many stupid gotchas in the multiclip setup. True. Hope springs eternal that FCP6 may fix many of these things. It should be a one-click solution.)
You can search for multiclip here and, after filtering out the nonsense from elitists like me, you should be able to detect something in your configuration that might be keeping you from getting the performance you are expecting.

Facebook Contacts Profile Pics not updating on Incredible

Just like the title says - after syncing everything with facebook to my current contacts (people) list, the current facebook display picture appears. However, if one of my contacts changes their facebook display picture - it won't change in the contacts (people) list to the new, current display pic. Even if you go into the online directories and update the facebook list you get the current display picture in that list but it doesn't transfer over to the linked phone contact display.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong or how to correct this?????

I am experiencing the same thing, and it's bugging the heck out of me as well. I have tried everything and it just doesn't add up. I know that People is syncing with FB as I am seeing status updates, but I have at least 5 friends/contacts whose photos are not updated. WEIRD if you ask me.
I have sync'd, unsync'd, downloaded lastest FB widget, signed out of Facebook, signed out of FB for HTCSense, shut-off, turned on..... YOU NAME IT!
Will sit tight until someone has a fix.

Edited photos not updating on AppleTV

I have a problem with photos that I have edited on iphoto08 not updating on my apple TV. The original un-edited photo remains!

Can not update from Aperture 3.1.2 to 3.1.3

Told to update this application to sign into account used to purchase it. Check with emails, and emails corresponde with normal mac account email.

Another user changed Aperture to read Aperture 3. Of course if did not update as the app needs to be named simply Aperture. BUT, when he changed it back to Aperture, he was able to update.
Maybe there is an invisible character in there like a space or something.
If that doesn't work I would contact the App Store Support.

Photo stream not updating in aperture

I import all my photos through the import tool in Aperture. I'm noticing that the photos are not uploading via wifi to my photo stream. Even if i select the photos once in Aperture and click the 'photo stream' button on the top toolbar, most of the pics never upload. I dont see them on my ipad, itouch or iphone. I've checked the user preferences in Aperture and have checked off the little box beside send to photo stream. But still, nothing. Incase it matters, i shoot everything on a canon 5D and Rebel XTI in RAW+Jpeg. I ingest both RAW and Jpeg when importing to aperture and have set RAW as the master file when importing. Can someone help out here?

I was able to force a download of my photostream by disabling Automatic Import and Automatic Upload in Preferences>Photostream.

Edited images not updating...

I went through every slide image and removed some errant marks, using the :Edit with..." function in Captivate and when I go back into Captivate, the image hasn't changed, so I close the file, reopen it, and it still doesn't update the image. I also noticed sometimes when I select a slide then right click and select "Find Background in the Library" and it selects totally the wrong image. Any ideas what might cause this? Below are my system specs...

Didn't work. Whats strange is if I have the background image selected in the Library palette, the preview shows the correct image. Now theres a new problem. When I breview the project, it's not even showing that slide, it's using the background from the previous slide!!!!! This is driving me crazy! Any other ideas?

Services not updating in Aperture

I have written a very simple Automator Service action to move images from a Project to a specified folder on my desktop; the trouble is it is not showing up in Aperture Services Menu. I am saving it to the same folder as 4 other services that are showing up, but they are the only 4 available.
Please note I am running Mavericks.
Any idea when I am going wrong?

I thought "Service 04.jpg" is the name of the screenshot of the service .
I am glad you dropped in, I was hoping for it.
If I remember correctly, services used to be able to receive selected images with "Service receives images in Aperture", even if the first action did not expect any arguments. Has that changed or is my memory faulty?

Pictures that are edited are not updated to iweb/web gallery..uses original

Need some help...when i edit a picture and save it to iphoto, the new picture will not upload to iweb or web gallery.. it uses the original picture. Any ideas how to solve this issue?!

Try delete the com.apple.iphoto.plist file from the home / library / preferences folder.
Also, Download BatchMod from

And apply it to the iPhoto Library using the settings found here:

Define Your filed type in currency.
Eg. vnumber TYPE CE1SAS1-KWABLK (kwablk is a currency field).
In FIELDCATALOG add currency.
Eg:
lw_fcat-fieldname = 'VNUMBER'.
lw_fcat-edit = 'X'.
lw_fcat-datatype = 'CURR'.

Birthday's not updating in iCloud calendar

When changing the a contact's birthday in Address Book on my mac the relevent change happens automatically in iCal on my mac. But when I look at my calendar in iCloud, there are duplicate birthdays for the same person. When I delete the contact altogether, the two birthdays are still in the iCloud calendar.
In summary: birthdays are not updating in the iCloud calendar (changes or deletes). Any ideas?

I too have this issue. I do not have the same orphan/duplicate entries on my iPhone, but dupes and orphan birthday entries on my iCloud calendar. Any way to remove these?

Aperture does not update a photo preview after editing in external editor

I have noticed this problem after installing the last Aperture (3.2.3) update. It appears to be common to my Mac Pro and Mac Book Pro. The updated preview is visible only in "viewer" mode (menu / view / viewer). It's interesting, that updated preview appears in "viewer" mode on both displays (I use two monitors). And when I switch into "split view" the preview switch also and is not updated.
After relaunching Aperture previews are updated.
The thumbnail looks to be good (updated). This problem makes my work really uncomfortable.
