IPhoto crashes, unable to view any images

iPhoto is consistently crashing when I start it up. As soon as I open the first image, the good old spinning beach ball appears & it just hangs up leaving me to force quit. It's not specific to the one image, it happens with any of them.
Has anybody seen a similar issue? Know of any fixes for this?
All the updates have been downloaded too by the way!

Backup the library and try the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select last three options.

Is this being georeferenced?

Unable to view any chart in OBIEE

i've installed OBIEE. I'm unable to view any chart in Dashboard. I see any other type of table (pivot, compound) but when i create a chart i see the red cross in the top left corner. It's possible i need a specific JVM?

while the .txt you have indicated me use the 2001. I've forgotten to said that the server is on a VM and works in local, so i don't have issue with the ports..

Lightroom 4 issues to where I could not view any images or import.

I was having major issues with lr 4 and not being able to view any images. All I would see is grey squares where the images should've been and they still had the image data when you hovered over them. I could view the images in every other program though. I finally got it to work after installing some windows updates but at the same time I did delete all of my lr 4 develop presets that I downloaded. I was just wondering if the presets could've been causing the issue before I try and re-download the presets again?

Possibly, download them again and install them in batches to see if the problem recurs.

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
You might also try signing out of itunes and back in (Settings App > itunes & App Store)

Hi. I'm not technically skilled, but based on the reply from the other guy re. AdBlock Plus being the common denominator to everyone's problems, I checked my Filter settings (ABP version 2.0.3) and deselected 'Fanboy's List (English)'. With this deselected and ABP still 'enabled' the messages work as usual.
I only had this problem using Virgin Mail, so must be the way they now present their mail that conflicts with 'Fanboy's List (English)' filter. I guess I'll need toi choose another filter.

NMH405 - Unable to view any files using the FIle Browser

Hello,
I logged in to the FIle Browser, hoping to delete some photos from my media hub. However, I am unable to view any music, photo, or video files on this page, nothing listed. All blank when I clicked on these 3 folders.
No problems accessing the actual files in their respective pages. I could play the music and video files, and view the photos. But I can't carry out any maintenance on them via the File Browser.
Checked the User Guide, but couldn't find any clues to this problem. Could someone please help me?

Hi there,
Files that were imported and stored on the Import Folder won't be detected on the NMH File Browser. You may only see them if you manually classify the files to it's corresponding folder.
It means, you need to move the files based on their file type. AVIs, WMV, etc. should be placed on your Videos folder .. Mp3s, Wavs, etc. should be moved to the Music folder .. Jpgs, Gifs, etc. should be moved to Pictures folder ..

I am unable to view thumbail images in google search results page

When performing a search on Google I am unable to view thumbnails on the main search page. If I click on the placeholder the image will open, I am also able to view thumbnails on the images / videos results page.
Firefox version 3.6.13
Running Windows 7, 32 bit professional.
Addons: Adblock Plus
Flashblock
Googlehancer (used to prevent autocomplete.)
Web of Trust (WOT)
All addons updated today.
Cleared cache, cleared history, cleared cookies.
Able to view results thumbnails on Bing and other search providers.
Tools > Content > Load Images checked, exceptions are cleared, so all sites should be available.
Tools > Content > Enable Javascript also checked.
I suspect, though cannot be sure, that something I did to disable the forced autocomplete function in Google searches also disabled the thumbnail view.

If you use extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extension) like Adblock Plus or NoScript or Flash Block that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Lately, I'm unable to paste any image into the body of any email I compose. I did not have this issue before today. Please help.

Could this issue with not being able to copy and paste any image within the email body, be virus or malware related?
Though I don't think I have any virus problems. Also I have all the latest updates for Thunderbird.

If you made the above changes to your Thunderbird settings and images still aren’t appearing in some of your messages, it may be that Thunderbird is blocking them because it thinks they are spam. To adjust your privacy settings and prevent the images from being stripped out, or not displaying at all (ie. being blocked), simply:
Click on the button to the above right of the email message asking you whether you would like to load images.
If the email message is from a trusted sender, you can click the link above the message specifying you would always like to load images in messages from this particular sender.
DID NOT WORK #4 :
If you’re still having troubles, or your changes aren’t being saved (ie. next time you open Thunderbird the images won’t display again) you can directly specify the default format Thunderbird should display email messages as in the config editor. To access it, simply:
Browse to Tools -> Options -> Advanced tab -> Config Editor
Search for mail.default_html_action and make sure it is set to 3 (allow original HTML). If you would like messages to open as text only (more secure, but you won’t see images, change the setting to 1).

After searching around for any pointers to my problem, the above fixes I listed were the things that came closest to maybe addressing the issue, that I was able to locate. But since none worked, and as you pointed out, it is now clear they will only help towards viewing sent images rather than helping with inserting any images in the body of the email, which is the problem I suddenly started facing today.
Coming to your suggestion, on opening the Write window, the Insert choice on the menu bar is indeed available. And I had already tried using that, by clicking on the '''Insert ----> Image''' option listed. That opens
up the "Image Properties" box but using that has not resolved the matter either. It results in an image box getting inserted within the email but without the actual image itself.
Plus, normally I am able to use the '''Paste''' function in the Edit menu or through right-click, but today the (Cut/Copy/Paste) functions have gone inactive, thereby disallowing me to use that to place an image within the email.

IPhoto shuts down on viewing any Photoshop edited pic

This is enough to make me toss this computer. I'm trying to make my christmas album book and everytime I view a picture that was edited in Photoshop elements, the whole application shuts down. I've read the notice about this and tried the color space fix, revert to original etc. All pictures open up fine in preview. The most irritation comes from the statement in the notice that reads "this problem only affects power pc's". Can anyone help as time is running out.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. First thing to try is deleting the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that's in your Library/Prefrerences folder. If that doesn't work then the following is your best change.
Photo 6.0.5 has a problem with files edited in PSE if PSE didn't manage color profiles and embed one. So with that in mind try:
1 - download the "Embed sRGB Profile" Automator application from Toad's Cellar.
2 - unzip it and place in the Dock
3 - open you Pictures/iPhoto Library/Originals folder.
4 - open a subfolder, select all of the files inside and drag onto the Embed sRGB Profile application in the Dock.
5 - repeat for each subfolder in the Originals folder.
NOTE: check iPhoto's Advanced preference pane and see if the Embed Color Profile checkbox is selected. If it is not then you'll need to run the embed profile application on the files inside the Modified folder. If it is checked then the edited versions do have a profile embedded.
Now see if iPhoto will open the library.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

OBIEE 11g : Unable to see any images while customizing styles and skins

I am trying to customize OBIEE 11g style and skin. I followed the steps mentioned at http://www.rittmanmead.com/2010/12/oracle-bi-ee-11g-styles-skins-custom-xml-messages/ and also in oracle white paper http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi/customizing-oracle-biee-11g-176387.pdf.
I am not able to see any images on any OBIEE screens. After login, I can see the name of skin which i have created as the default skin but login page images, header images (after login) are not coming up. Can you please provide solution?
P.S. I have not changed any images or any css files in the custom skin and style directory. I just wanted to know first whether the new skin/style works for me. If it works, then i will apply some sort of customization.
