IPhoto original path

Hi,
I wrote an Applescript that uses iPhoto to identify photos taken by a particular camera and then moves them to another directory. The script generally works well except that it fails for pictures that seem to get back an alias of some sort from iPhoto when requesting “original path”. For example, I might get back "Macintosh HD:Users:jack:Pictures:iPhoto Library:Masters:2011:04:03:20110403-023330:img_0503.jpg”, which Applescript is unable to resolve. I noticed the pictures in question resolve correctly within iPhoto when you use the show original item under “File”. I also noticed these pictures have the option to show modified items grayed out under “File”. I am not sure why. Anyone have any ideas?

It is the same with Movie files. I have been playing around with this for a few months, and it works to return the path to the actual movie file. I have it set right now (for testing purposes) to the first "image" in the Movies album. Just change the name of the album to an album of yours that is full of DNG files, and see if it works for you:
