Iphoto sending photo per email with entourage

dear all, since when I updated online the mac applications (all of them), I can't choose anymore Entourage for sending photos per email from iphoto: the only choice I get is Mail (that I do not use). I have already disselected Mail as preferred application, but the Entourage name on Iphoto preferences always appear in a grey colour and I can not select it.
can anybody help me to get back to my previous situation? thank you very much to the angel who will help me

Since you installed all those updates, I suggest you try these procedures to get things back to normal:
1. Restart your computer to repair the directory if needed.
2. Run "Repair Permissions" from Disk Utility located in your Applications>Utilties Folder.
3. Try iPhoto again. If it doesn't work then QUIT iPhoto.
4. Your iPhoto preferences file may be corrupted.
(MAKE SURE you QUIT iPhoto first)
You will find it in your Home directory:
(Home/your account) >Library>Preferences>com.apple.iPhoto.plist
Remove or trash the preference (.plist file) and restart iPhoto.

  • IPhoto - sending photos via email

I am attempting to email photos directly from iPhoto via email.  I selected the photos and my yahoo email account, but for some reason the email will not complete sending.  Do I need to do something to activate my yahoo email account in iPhoto?

What version of iPhoto and system are you running?  Put those 15 photos in an album for easy grouping.  Select all 15 and click on the Share ➙ Email button:

Are you using Yosemite and not apple's Mail app? Then you may need to set up an app-specific password: See the post below:

This solution is for those of you using 2-step verification for your Apple ID and are using iCloud as the mail server that you are trying to mail photos with.
I too had this issue. The problem in my case occurred because I had setup 2-step authentication for my Apple ID. If you have done this then you will get the error message "the mail server did not recognize your email/password...". To solve the problem go to:
    https://appleid.apple.com
    Click "Manage Your Apple ID"
Verify your identity with the device you selected (if this step does not show up then you have not likely set up 2-step authentication and this is not your solution)
Click Password and Security in the left column
    Click Generate an app-specific password
Enter iPhoto as the name of the app
Copy the password and paste this into the password box in iPhoto where you would normally enter your apple ID (in the mail account section in iPhoto preferences).
    And...voila' (I hope)

The problem is with the new operating system  and sending photo via email when used in my iPad.
From photo I selected 3 photos to send via email. I choose the upload key and choose to send by email. Typing text on the email is very slow. This is solved by saving the email as a draft and opening the email again from mail.
Can you amend he system to allow emails to be sent from photo as previously.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"

  • Trouble sending photos in email from iPhoto

says my email username/password combination are wrong and won't send photos in email.  My username and password combination are correct.  So, not sure what to do next.  All parameters are configured the same as I have in Mail app, which works

    Or
IMHO the better  course is to set Mail as the iPhoto email client in the iPhoto preferences

  • Sudden Problem Sending Photos by Email

    Hi,
After being able to successfully send photos from my iPhone by email ever since I got it, I suddenly have a problem. The recipient does not receive the photo - only a small blue box with a question mark in it. The copy of the email in my Sent folder looks the same.
I've tried a reset and, for info, I use BT Yahoo for email.
Have hunted high and low for reference to this and only found one post but there was no real explanation or resolution.
Any help or advice gratefully received. Cheers!

Which MacOS X version are you using and which iPhoto version?
If you are using Yosemite and have enabled up two-step verification for iCloud?  Then you may need to create an application specific password for iPhoto.  See this discussion:  Re: Unable to send photo through email using iphoto theme (designs)Re: Unable to send photo through email using iphoto theme (designs)Re: Unable to send photo through email using iphoto theme (designs)  Unable to send photo through email using iphoto theme (designs)

  • Problem sending photos by Email.  Received a response from T. Devlin.  Did not solve problem.  I had already done what he suggested.

I had already entered my Email info under preferences.
The screen comes up with the photos I want to send.
I type my message and hit Send.  The blue bar appears "Sending".
However,  don't know where the photos go, they don't reach destination.
I tried sending to myself at another Email address - they didn't arrive, and they are not shown under Sent Emails either.
    How to resolve?
Tried to respond to T. Devlin - but that didn't happen either.  Just a Like symbol was there (as in Facebook).

  • How to send photos as email attachments???

This is a ridiculously easy and simple question but I'm a mac newbie and can't figure out how to send photos as email attachments, not embed them in the body of the email. Every time I go to send a picture or group of pictures from i-photo an email message opens....the pictures are embedded in the body of the email and that's how they appear to receipients. In a test, I've sent them to a PC...the message comes through just fine but the photos don't have separate attachments that I can click on and "save as." they come through as bitmap files. Any ideas? THANK YOU.

It will not ALWAYS fix the problem that this topic is about; I had my Mail preferences set to send as Plain Text and it did not fix the problem. Additionally, since there is NOT an option in Iphoto as you previously noted, it might be confusing to some people.
However, for those of you who have the same problem, there seems to be a solution that worked for me. I also had the problem that Mail was overriding my sizing preference when I selected them in Iphoto (share > email) and always sending them as small instead of medium as I preferred.
Since it seems that sometimes Mail does not deploy the plain text default so you need to kick start it to remember. This is how I did it....
    - Select the photos you want and hit SHARE > EMAIL in Iphoto
    - Now, in Mail click on the photo browser button
    - Find another photo in Iphoto via the browser and drag and drop it into the email that you're composing
    - You'll see a size option appear in the bottom right hand corner
    - Playing around with the sizing option a few times kicked it into gear and it seems to be working better since then
I hope that helps anyone who has had the same problem.

  • Am unable to send photos by email or message

Unable to send photos by email or message

    Hi,
Ok, adding your email address to my contact list didn't change anything.
The good news is that your email from your gmail account did get through. It was marked as junk mail but when I declared it safe, the photo appeared.
I looked into the message content for the ones that didn't work and I think the photo is actually still part of the data. It is as though the message header has been corrupted somehow. Since it happens with your service provider but not mine, it suggests that your service provider is perhaps corrupting the header.
I'm not sure how we can get this resolved as the fault could be with Adobe, your service provider or other service providers.
I think the workaround of using your gmail account is probably the best way to go.
You do get a lot of snow there. I live in the UK on the south coast near Southampton. All I have seen is a very light dusting of snow and that quickly disappeared. There were a few local accidents due to the icy conditions. I supposed that the snow is part of your life there - for us it is an exception and so we are not prepared for it.

  • Trouble attaching photos to email  with iMac

When I try to attach photos to emails with my iMac, it always puts them in the email instead of attaching them. I'm clicking on the paper lip and selecting the photos, but it then inserts the photos into the email.
    Thanks

Either control+click or right click on the attachment within the body of the email and select 'View as icon'. You may also want to check that 'Always send Windows-friendly attachments' is selected in Mail>Edit>Attachments.

I just downloaded Photos and I have lost the ability to easily send photos by email via Outlook.  Any suggestions?

If you use Mac Mail and Microsoft Outlook mail like I do, you could switch from one to the other mail program for send photos.
    iPhoto  >>  Preferences  >>  General tab  >>  E-mail foto's via  >>  select Microsoft Outlook.
Click a photo  in iPhoto  >>  Share  >>  select E-mail …   >>  Microsoft Outlook will be launch.
