Iphoto won't let me create a new album

Iphoto won't let me create a new album, every time I press the "plus" button it just makes a little pinging sound. I may have accidentally deleted the album section and I'm not sure how to get it back.

I've created a fillable PDF document in XI Pro. I need to change the body of the document and create a new fillable PDF document. When I do that it won't let me create a new PDF. It keeps saying "no new fields recognized. What can I do to redo my document with the changes in the text, but no changes in the fillable fields?

You start with a source / authoring file for the "static" content (e.g., Name, Last:). Say this is an MS Word file.
You master the "static" content..
You keep this authoring file and have a backup of this file.
You output a PDF and use Acrobat to build and fine tune the "form" (form = the form fields, not the "static" content).
The authoring file and output PDF (with form fields) gives you "rev 00".
Now, you must change something in the "static" content.
Open the authoring file and save as to a new version (e.g., "wordfile_v00" becomes "wordfile_v01).
Output this to "pdffile_v01".
Use Acrobat to open the PDF form file "pdffile_v00". Save As to a new file name ("pdffile_v00update").
Using Acrobat XI Pro the click-path Tools - Pages - Replace lets you replace a page or pages of "pdffile_v00update" with a page or pages from "pdffile_v01".
This replaces the "static" PDF page content and does not affect the form fields on the page.
(you may have to adjust position of form fields)
Save "pdffile_v00update" to "pdffile_v01" to reflect the revised status of the PDF form file.

Garageband won't let me create a new podcast episode

I loaded Garageband tonight to start a new podcast episode and found it won't let me create a new podcast episode. After launching, I am presented with the four options of New Music Project; New Podcast Episode; New Movie Score; Open Existing Project. If I choose New Podcast Episode, I get a new choice of Saving As: and I can type in a file name, but I soon as I click on Create, it takes me back to the opening choices window. I can choose New Music Project or New Movie Score, but not New Podcast Episode. (I don't have any old episodes to Open Existing Project).
I have created a podcast episode in the past just tinkering around, but deleted those episodes a couple of weeks ago.
Any suggestions?

Ha! You said so the first time. A'ight. Now... a series of questions to help folks in this discussion forum help YOU:
What are the full specs of your computer? (Your profile doesn't have those details.) Particulary... FCPX version, Mac type, RAM, CPU, GPU and number, types and size of HD's. (A memory problem might reveal itself if you're particularly low on RAM or you don't have enough headroom on your hard drives.)
More importantly, how are your media managed across the drives? Are your projects / events on a SEPARATE drive than your OS and the FCPX app? (This is advised to reduce strain on your CPU.)
What does the "Activity Monitor" show when you launch FCPX? (high RAM usage, etc.)
Are you trying to create a new project WITHIN the FCPX interface? (Either by: File > New Project or... mouse-clicking the "+" at the extreme lower left of the FCPX app window.)
You may have to "repair permissions" on your drives. (Easy thing to do.) Also, if you're using an external drive, is it Mac OS-journaled?
To be honest, this error has me stumped. But, if you provide this info, someone in this discussion group might be able to steer you through these waters. Just type out a quick laundry list and someone should be by to help.

Used Verizon iPad 2 won't let me create a new account need help ASAP...

I bought it used from craigslist and it asks me for a login I never had service with Verizon. Instead of giving me a form to fill out it gives me a email and a password login. I'm on iOS 4.3.3 if I upgrade to 5.0.1 will it solve the issue? What can I do?? Thanks

When you got the iPad, were you able to immediately turn it on and use the device? If you were, you really need to start all over, by going into Settings > General then scroll to the bottom of right hand side and tap Reset > Erase all Content and Settings. This will wipe all data off the iPad. You'll then need to have the most current version of iTunes on your computer and you'll connect the iPad to it via USB and you'll set up the iPad as a new device. This will let you create your own Apple ID and you can start adding apps, music, pictures, etc., and then create a new data account with Verizon.

IMovie won't let me create a new movie

When i try to create a new movie, i input a title and no event title comes up below. When i press "create" it tells me that the operation can not be completed and no information is available about the problem. I haven't had this problem before and I use iMovie regularly. The current iMovie is version 10.0.4. the computer is an iMac 21.5, though I'm not sure if that is relevant.

As I see it - this can be due to that iMovie can not find the material - either:
it is Photos or material from iPhoto and iPhoto library has problems - in need of repair
material was stored on Memory-card or external hard disk not connected just now
iMovie got some information wrong in it's preference file - trash this pref file and see if iMovie behaves
preferences got it wrong - use Disk Util program to repair preferences
The most obvious and common things that can go wrong.

Ical won't let me create a new calendar, unless it is left "untitled."

When I create a new calendar in iCal, I can't name the calendar what I want (unless I leave it as "untitled"). However, color coding still works.

Phone won't let me create a new contact

When I try to create a contact by hitting the "create a contact" icon I get one of two errors; "There was an error saving this contact. Please try again." or "This contact could not be saved." Any ideas on what is going on? Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the forums;
What is the default account for your contacts? Do you use an online account such as EAS or Gmail? If you do, try setting the default account back to Palm Profile. Even if you only use the palm profile, tap sync now and next restart your device. If using another online account, make sure the account is listed in the accounts list, then reset your default to that online account (ie. Gmail) and try to add a contact again.
Please try creating a contact with no special characters (,.*/@#$%^ etc.). If you're able to create one without any special characters, then try with whatever characters you were originally trying to use.

IPhoto won't let me delete my facebook albums

I have recently deleted both of my facebook user accounts, but the "facebook albums" I created in iPhoto are still there. How do I delete them? I have tried selecting them and pressing the delete key on my laptop, and I have tried selecting them while depressing Option, or Command, or Control or Shift. If the delete option pops up at all, its grayed out/not selectable. I am using a MacBook Pro. Can anyone help me?

Won't let me create a podcast or movie soundtrack! :(

When I open GarageBand, it will let me create a new music project, but WON'T let me create a new podcast episode, or new movie score.
This is what happens:
When I click either podcast or movie score, it opens a "save project" window to create a new project. Once I select a name, location, and click okay, it just goes back to the "GarageBand splash" where I can choose what type of project I want to create. The file that I have just created, did not actually get saved, either. (All iLife/Mac OS updates have been installed).
Help would be appreciated.

I'm having the same problem, but none of the typical solutions worked. Trashing prefs, rebuilding permissions... I even downloaded the 3.0.2 updater directly from the Apple site and re-applied it.
I will try re-installing it... but I was hoping not to have that setback today, as this problem did not exist for me as recently as a few days ago. So I am also sure there are no odd codecs or anything hosing it up, as this is a 100% brand new OS install, clean hard drive, clean everything... and I haven't added anything (except the iWeb 1.1.1 update from Software Update) since it was working fine. (This is in the G5 dual 2.3, 1.5 g of ram - not my laptop, the specs for which are associated witt my profile on the boards)
Any other ideas? Help! and THANKS!

Imovie won't let me create an event or import videos

I am trying to create a new event with imovie and when I do I get this box that says,
"The operation could not be completed.
No other information is available about the problem."
When I try to import videos (MOV or MP$A) it doesn't do anything. I select the video, click import selected, and nothing. It just stays where its at.
I am running the Mavericks version of imovie that was updated when I installed Mavericks.
Any solutions?

Sorry, I misread your post - it won't even let you create a new event when you select File - New Event
Have you been able to update any old events and projects from iMovie 9?
Can you create a new project?
Do you have MacKeeper installed? (It is known to interfere with the Share menu but I have not heard of it affecting event creation)
