IPod Classic stores about 6000 songs and when I try and add more from library it detects van iPod in recovery mode and needs to be restored every time.
How to fix an iPod that only takes 6000 songs and then goes into recovery mode and consistently asks for restore?
Can you play the song in iTunes?
If you can't the song file is probably corrupt and needs to be replaced.

This happened after I did a software update on my phone about a month and a half ago. My phone will randomly shut off by itself and wont come back on. I had spoke with an apple repair person over the phone who told me to hold in the home button and then plug it into my computer. When the iphone said that there was an error and gave him a code he suggested that I send it in. So I did and about a week and a half later I get it back and its on. Yet the problem still occurs. It shut off twice in the same day and for several hours would not come on. When it did I called apple again and they ran a diagnostic on my phone and said it was a software issue. So then why was it not fixed? They told me they could not duplicate the problem. And now it happens about once or twice a week now. And its happening right now. I have it plugged into my computer and the apple logo with a bar below it has been on for about 20 min now. And itunes is still saying "waiting for iphone."

The steps detailed below can help stabilize your iPhone.
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.

When i try to add music from itunes to my ipod, Itune tells me the music on my ipod came from a differnt libray and wants to erase my whole ipod. i just loaded my ipod two days ago. i don't want to replace everything every time i want to add two to songs. My MacBook Pro is the only autherized computer.
To prevent a sync when plugging in the iPod/iPhone - hold down the 'option' and the 'command' keys when plugging in the iPod/iPhone - key the keys down until the iPod/iPhone is listed under the Devices list in iTunes - this will prevent a sync from taking place and you will be able to change your settings.

When I try to add music from my itunes onto my imovie project, it says "Open iTunes to populate this list." When I open it nothing happens. Please help.

firefox keeps crashing when I try to launch it. I uninstalled the program, but now when I try to download it from your website the download freezes with 1 second left. This has happened several times.

Something fishy going on with those particular files. But without looking at them directly I couldn't say what. Usually in a case like this the problem is some of the metadata that is attached to the file. Where did these files come from? A camera, a scanner, the internet?
An explanation about the Watched Folder function: It looks for changes to a folder, not just automatically grabbing whatever files are in it. Generally, you want to select an empty folder as a Watch Folder. Once this has been set up, as you add files to this folder they will be imported into the Organizer. If you start with a folder full of images, those will be ignored, any new items will be added.

when I try to download an app I am asked to give additional security questions, but I am timed out every time. If I press the "not now" option , the app download resets. At the moment I can't download any apps because of this.
If you have a credit card on file on top of your gift card then it is asking you to confirm the security code for the card, which for a Visa or MasterCard is 3 digits located on the back, or AMEX has 4 digits on the front. This happens just to ensure that you are the account holder, and would happen from time to time whether it was a free or paid app, even if you have a credit through your gift card. This doesn't mean that your credit card will be charged.

How exacly are you trying to import from the Photo Stream? Dragging from the stream to the events? Ctrl-clicking or right clicking?
If "Show in Library" does not show the event, then your iPhoto Library may need repairing or rebuilding; try to run the iPhoto Library First Aid Tools, if you have not already done so. See this post by Old Toad on how to do it: Rebuild iPhoto Library Version 11:

I upgraded my iPad 2 to iOS6 following a prompt from the application icon.
Once that was complete, my iPad asked me to connect to iTunes which I did. iTunes then told me that it detected an iPad/iPod in recovery mode and I needed to have a newer version of iTunes to restore.
I've tried before to upgrade to a new version of iTunes but was advised my Mac was unable to support this due to the Mac's age and old operating system.
How, therefore, do I get back onto using my iPad 'cos at the moment, all I get when I switch it on is the 'connect to iTunes' symbols.
Help please, I'm getting withdrawal symptoms!During a normal install of iOS 7.0.6 this does not happen but something clearly went wrong in your installation.
To fix this, connect to iTunes and restore to Factory. Hopefully your iPad will be working again and you can restore your iCloud backup during Setup. -
Why does idvd quit when i try to add media from iphoto?
In iDVD, whenever I click Media & then click Photos, it looks like i should be able to select items from iPhoto: But if I click any of the top-level items listed like Events or Photos, iDVD quits/closes without any error messages. This happens in both new & existing iDVD projects (I've never actually used iDVD before today). Also, in iMovie I can ony see older Events & photos in iPhoto when I try to add photos to a project. This makes me think there might be something up with my iPhoto software or its data.
I'm pretty sure I'm using the latest versions of iDVD & iPhoto from the old iLife ('08) included with my MacBook Pro: iDVD version 7.1.2 (1158), iMovie version 8.0.6 (821), & iPhoto version 8.1.2 (424), running on Mac OS X version 10.6.8. I assume the Apple Software Update app automatically installed whatever updates I have over the versions that shipped with my computer.Try this basic troubleshooting fix :
1 - delete the IDVD preference file, com.apple.iDVD.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete IDVD'S cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iDVD folder.

I just purchased a new PC with windows 8.1 and downloaded new itunes, but when I try to "restore" my music library from the DVDS i made from my old pc it doesn't automatically restore my library as it used to. How do I restore my music library from DVDS?
Thanks but I already did read all of the help notes, which aren't very helpful for this. I did find out the problem- Apple.....they evidently changed one of the major upsides to their old software- being able to back up your entire library onto dvd's- so you can longer do that or restore from the dvds created from older versions of itunes. I suspect greed is at play in that Apple now wants you to pay $24.95 per year to use a "cloud" service where they back it up for you. I can buy a lifetime supply of back up dvds for one year's worth of cloud. So I am now looking into other music software as I am Appled-out. There is no reason for them to take away the back up portion of the software other than to sell you thrir cloud service. As we have already given them a ton of money for 5 Ipods and a bunch of music, I think we have contributed enough. Time to look to solutions outside of the Apple money tree. I have windows 8 enterprise OS and iTunes ver. 10.5.0.142. I was upgrading my iPad to IOS 6.1.3. After finishing the upgrade my iPad Reboot and currently stucked-up in a plug-in screen and iTunes Logo. When I try to connect it to the iTunes pop-up message appear saying " iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes." In short, I push the restore button then another pop-up message appear saying " The iPad software update server could not be contacted. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later." I tried many ways but still no luck. I repeatedly reboot the iPad and open the iTunes still the same problem. I try also to uninstall the iTunes and installed the lower version but still the same problem, I even check the firewall if the ITunes was block or My privileges is administrator to run the iTunes or even reset my winsock but the problem still remain. PLEASE HELP! Thank you in advance!!!

IPod needing to be restored every time plugged in
I have had my 120 gig iPod classic for a little under a year. I updated my iTunes and now, every time I plug it in, it needs to be restored. Once I restore it, it is fine, takes a million years to reload all of my music and is fine until the next time I plug it in. I have tried reinstalling iTunes and the same problem still happens. Can't figure it out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated because I don't live anywhere near an Apple store.
Doublechecking something known to cause those symptoms.

Changes made on firefox arent registered and need to change again every time firefox restarts.
Since I installed firefox on my new PC nothing seems to register. Every time I start it, it wants to give me a tour like the first time I installed it. Fond size on same pages change every time I open them. Change of the home page doesn't register, meaning after I change it on the options it will not remember it next time I restart the program.
On top of that, even though its shows that I am signed it for syncing, it actually does not sync anything from my older PC.It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or even add / mal-ware.

and what it does.
