Ipod freezes over and over

My ipod will freeze either immediately after trying to play a song or after it plays a few. I reset it, and then try again. Sometimes, when I reset it, it prompts me to select a language and there is no info on it. I reset it again and everything is back. What the heck is wrong with this thing? I never dropped it or anything. I have Apple Care, but I cannot be without my ipod...I'll never get through my work day.

Sorry to say this, but if you want it fixed I think you'll have to send it in. I've been having problems with my 20 GB 4th Gen rebooting during audiobooks and podcasts, as well as intermittent pausing during playback. I called Apple and they told me that it would need to be sent in for repair. I also have a personalized message on mine, so it will be 2 or 3 weeks before I get it back if they have to replace it.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

but it will not shuffle the music, it will play the same song over and over, until I hit the

Sounds like the repeat setting has been enabled.  See your iPod's User Guide for information on how to turn it off.

  • My 5th ten iPod is basically doing nothing but trying over and over again to start up. I've tried to restore it, but when the logo apple appears, it simply shut down.

my 5th ten iPod is basically doing nothing but trying over and over again to start up. I've tried to restore it, but when the logo apple appears, it simply shut down. Then I've connected it to my macbook pro, and I've seen the script "Please Wait - Very Low Battery", but, after some time, the iPod tries to start up again, and nothing happens. It's a kind of noise, I'm thinking about the hard disk, (it's a 80Gb version), and I'm listening to it; every 30 seconds seems to try to open and then shut down again. I can't see the iPod in iTunes too. Don't know what to do. Can someone help me? Thanks a lot, it's my first forum

It sounds like the battery could be going bad as well as the iPod's Hard drive.  You'll want to have the iPod serviced either by Apple or a third party repair company. Here is Apple's pricing:

Google for "iPod repair" and you should get a ton of results to work with.

  • IPod Nano - Shuffle plays same songs over and over

I have several playlists on my iPod Nano with varying numbers of songs.  But it seems that every time I use my iPod, no matter which playlist I'm using, I get some songs over and over.  I'll hear the same couple songs multiple times in a day/week.   I turn it off when we aren't using it.  So it seems like it's resetting the shuffle every time I turn it on.  Is there some setting I need to change to make it shuffle the songs more?  I don't remember having this problem with my iPod Shuffle.   I'm considering making multiple playlists (like a several workout ones with different songs in each so I get more variety) but wondering if there's a simpler fix
    Thanks

That is probably the Repeat setting.  It can be set to repeat ONE (repeats current song), ALL (repeats current list), or OFF (does not repeat).
Which iPod nano model do you have?  Does it have a touch screen interface, or the (older) click wheel interface?

Right click on a movie(in iTunes), and click "get info" then go to album artwork and add the artwork that you want...

  • Help. My iPod nano is stuck on repeat. it will only repeat the same song over and over. How can I change the settings

Help. My ipod nano is stuck on repeat. It repeats the same song over and over and wont play songs on the same album consecutively. How do I fix this

    Hey cemccarty,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
The option to turn off repeat will depend on your iPod nano model. Here is the information for the latest model, the iPod nano (7th generation):

  • My ipod touch will only play the same song over and over unless you manually fast forward?

My ipod touch will not shuffle through the songs. It just plays the same song over and over.  All that shows at the top is the info picture.  How do I fix this?

    Do this:
    Play a song.
Tap the screen once so you see the scrubber.
To the left of the scrubber, there's a set of two arrows going in a circle - if it's blue, it's set to repeat.
Click on it once to make it white - no repeat.

  • How do I get my ipod to quit repeating the same song over and over?

How do I get my ipod nano to quit repeating the same song over and over again?

The control for repeating a selection is available when the Music app is open and the iPhone is in the portrait position. There are three settings Off, repeat one song and repeat album or playlist. You change the setting by tapping the icon.
    OFF
    Repeat one song (current selection)
    Repeat album or playlist

  • My iPod touch 4th generation suddenly started restarted over and over for no apparent reason...

So, last night while I was asleep, my iPod Touch started to restart over and over. It loads with the Apple symbol, but with a little settings cog at the bottom of it, and when it get's to the password screen, it stays there for about one second, and the process starts over again. It wont respond to being turned off or on, and the password numbers are unresponsive.
I tried pressing and holding the off button and the home button, and it turns off briefly before starting up again. It turns on without the little settings cog, but as usual, it stays at the password screen for a second, then the loop continues.
I've tried plugging it into my computer, but all that does is make it do it's little 'I'M CONNECTED TO THE COMPUTER' beep every time it turns on! I don't fancy taking it to Apple to repair, as I use it every day and I don't really fancy spending the money and having to wait. If any one has had any success with this issue, I would be extremely grateful.
Any suggestions would be completely welcome - even if they're not things that have proved to work. I'm pretty desperate.

Use RecBoot to kick it into recovery mode and restore it.

    Hello
Tap the screen when playing a song and you should see playback options and tap the repeat until it is white. When it is blue it on repeat and if it has a 1 on it then it is repeating the same song over and over again.

  • Why do the apps on my 4th Generation iPod Touch continuously crash over and over?

I first turned on my 8GB white iPod touch, 4th generation, on 12/25/2011. For the most part, my ipod has worked flawlessly. I have never had a problem with it. But, in the past couple of days since christmas, the apps have started to crash over and over. For example, my games like Jetpack Joyride, Doodle Jump, Bike Race TFG, and Plague Inc. have not opened. I try to open them, it shows the opening wallpaper, then crashes. I tried turning off location services, closing all open apps, deleting some apps, clearing up space, nothing has worked. what could be going wrong and how can i fix this?
    Thanks!
