IPod Touch 4th gen notifications coming in late.

Okay so I have an iPod Touch 4th gen 16gb with the latest iOS, and I have been receiving my notifications late since I
bought it. Whatever the notification, I will receive it 5 minutes late,5 hours late or even not at all(which is most-likely always the case)
Sometimes though, I will receive the notifications for all the opened apps on time,but that will just last a few minutes.No, I do not have Don't disturb on nor do I have my notifications off. Any tips?

No, that would seem to be a network problem. You can try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to rejoin all networks.

IPod Touch 4th gen notification center won't work

Ever since i bought my iPod, sometimes it just doesn't send any push notifications at all. I checked my settings, and all notifications are on but still it doesn't work. On top of that, I can't send or receive iMessages. It's really anoying. Even after rebooting my notifications don't appear. It sometimes takes two days, and then I get all notifications I didn't get over these two days. Does anyone know what's wrong? It's really annoying.

Other users of 1G iPod (or any iPod with iOS 3.x) have experienced the same problem within the last couple of days. It appears that Apple updated the App store website to cause this problem. For the time being you just have to download them to your computer and sync them to your iPod.

I know it's a little late but I recently updated my iPod touch 4th gen to iOS 6 and now it won't play my music. It will play spotify and YouTube music but not my music. Everything else works fine but when I go to play a song it just skips to the next. Why

i recently purchased an in app purchase which is showing up on my itunes account as a purchased but has not shown up on my ipod touch 4th gen. (think it was due to losing my wifi connection during download).
i went into problem solving on the itunes store to rectify the issue to discover that i needed to go via my app store on my ipod to purchase history, which on the ipod touch 4th gen is supposidly at the bottom of downloads... after trying this i discovered that i have no option to go into purchases as this does not exist on my downloads options nor does it exist anywhere on my ipod version of the app store?? can someone please help?? im miffed. :s

I just purchased this movie on Thursday, May 15, so just a few days ago. I have never had any trouble whatsoever since I have been in Vietnam. I have downloaded several movies and even music and they have all synced to my respected Apple products except for this purchase.
Sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean by studios and different versions. Could you please explain?
I checked my purchased list in my purchase history under my account and there are no hidden items.

IPod Touch 4th Gen isn't detected on Windows 7 Starter

iTunes Version: Latest Version
Operating System: Windows 7 Starter (A netbook computer)
My friend just started having this issue with his netbook where his iPod Touch will not be detected at all not even under My Computer. It will charge the device however it will not sync.
Before he had the iTunes Wifi Sync on, but it wasn't really working either for some odd reason.
On booting iTunes I noticed it kept coming up with the need to downgrade to be compatible for iTunes to run probably. I assume the latest version of iTunes cannot naturally run on Windows 7 Starter with downgrading to a lower compatiblity likely either it downgraded to Vista or XP compatibility.
I was wondering with it was an iTunes sync service was not turned on, but another friend had brought her iPhone and right away that device appeared in iTunes so it appears to be a issue with the iPod itself. We swapped usb cables in hopes that his older more worn cable may have been the issue, but still not luck.
We had used all of the following listed from this page: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538. As well as another which I can't seem to find that had about 15 items to try.
So basically it doesn't show up as even a usb device in the "Device and Printers" window or as a device under "My Computer".

I am having the same problem (lost in back-up purgatory) on both my iPhone 4 and my iPad2. I am running Windows XP.
I have tried everything I've seen suggested on various support communities, with no success.
I have gotten used to having to find a windows workaround everytime Apple updates iTunes, and this time it is especially frustrating.
I don't have any solutions, and I am responding to all of these types of messages in hopes of finding something that will work for me.
One person was able to work through it by deleting all of the previous iTunes backup files. I'm trying that now. 4 hours into it, and it does not seem to be working......

. As Apple said in June, iOS 7 is not compatible with the 4G iPod.
All the iOS devices compatible (iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, and 5G iPod touch) with iOS 7 have at least 512 MB of memory (RAM). The 4G iPod only has 256 MB

The home button on my iPod Touch 4th Gen. is not responding, any ideas?

The title kinda says it all, I have a iPod Touch 4th Gen., that I have had for almost 2 years. And it has worked wonderfully, up until a few day ago, when I noticed that the home button was getting harder and harder to push on. and then earlier today it just stopped working all together. To exit out of an app, I had to stut off the iPod and restart it again.
I have considered sending it to Apple, but at, $105 (estimated) I was wondering if there was any other ways to fix the problem. And I'm not even sure if it's a problem with the hardware, or the software.

Tried to restore my ipod touch 4th gen but it says "The ipod software update server could not be contacted" Please help!

Ok so I reset my ipod touch 4th gen and it got stuck on the apple logo screen and holding down the buttons just made it turn off for a few seconds and go straight back onto the logo screen, nothing was happening with it connecting to itunes either. But I held the home and the power button down at the same time while connected to my laptop and then when the logo reappeard I released the power button and it came up with with the itunes logo and the usb logo. Why Did My iPod Touch 4th Gen Stop Sync Entourage?

I just noticed that my items from Entourage 2008 are no longer syncing - Contacts, Calendar, but I don't know when that problem began or why. I've had no problems syncing my iPod Touch 4th Gen since I bought it many months ago.
Other programs such as Apple Mail are syncing my Notes just fine. I've upgraded the iPod software each time a new version came out, I'm syncing from a MacBook Pro. It doesn't appear that any items other than ones coming from Entourage 2008 are affected.
Perhaps something in one of the Apple iPod upgrades caused this, or a setting was changed accidentally - which I doubt, but anything is possible.
I'd appreciate any assistance since my contacts and calendar are of utmost importance to me and must be correct and up to date.

This sounds like the same problem I am having. The error I got was Ox E80000 24 that first O could have been a zero, not sure.

Contacts Icon - iPod Touch 4th Gen

OK, since the old man owns an iPad, I got picked to help my niece set up her new iPod Touch (4th gen). What planet is all this music coming from??
Anyway, we've done pretty well, but I cannot find the "Contacts" icon that I'm accustomed to seeing on my iPad. We were able to sync contacts from her PC's email address book, and I can find them by going into email or FaceTime, but that just seems awkward. Since it is new, she only has two pages of icons/apps, so I'm sure it's not there. I tried resetting the Home Pay layout from within Settings, but that didn't fix the problem. Am I missing something here? Thanks for your help.

It should be in the Utilities folder. You can also use the Spotlight search to find it.
