  • IPod Touch (4th generation) won't connect to wifi! Please help!

My iPod Touch (4th generation) won't connect to my house wifi that it's always connected to. I tried forgetting the network, and putting the password in again, several times. I've tried restarting my iPod, turning the wifi on & off, and also turning the router off and back on but none of this has helped. After I forgot the network and typed the password back in it just kept saying 'loading' and eventually it stops loading but still doesn't connect. It also shows other peoples wifi's but I haven't tried to connect to theres to see if it works. It just started doing this yesterday at this other place I was at but i just figured it was their wifi because when I got home that night it worked just fine but today it started doing it again at my house and I don't know what to do. Please Help!

  • My Ipod touch 4th generation won't let me drag the songs from my Itunes to the Ipod itself or how do you sync checkmarked songs?

I'm confused, my ipod touch 4th generation won't let me drag my songs from my itunes library to the ipod? So i tried checkmarking the songs I want and I don't know how to sync those? Also, I try to sync apps to my ipod and it says my computer doesn't have the liscense for it?

You should really read the manual.
If you want to drag and drop, then you must check the manually manage music box.
    Read the manual:

    Try:

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

  • IPod Touch 4th Generation Won't Charge

Hi, I got my iPod touch 4th generation in January of 2011 and it has been working fine until now.
    Let me explain ...
The other day my battery ran out on my iPod, so just as usual I went to plug it into the USB port on my computer. Nothing happened. I then tryed switching USB ports (I have 4). Nothing happened. I then tryed using my wall charger. Nothing happened. I tryed switching outlets. Yet again, nothing happened.
Frustrated I asked my friend if I could borrow her charger. I then proceeded to plug it in to my 4 USB ports, and my many plug outlets. Yet again, nothing happened. When I plug it into my computer, it does not reconize my iPod (Although, I believe it shouldn't since my iPod is dead.). I even tried leaving it plugged in for a few hours, and it still did absolutley nothing.
Now normally when my iPod dies, when I attempt to turn it on it shows a flashing low battery sign (http://ihackmyi.com/files/upload/b/2140-112810133913.jpg) and when I plug it in it shows a low battery sign, except with a symbol notifying me that it's charging (http://www.best-ipod-online.com/images/ipod-touch-troubleshooting-01.jpg). Except now when I attempt to turn it on, it does nothing. It just shows a pure, plain, black screen.
I am completely disapointed with my iPod, and any help at all would be appreciated. I do not wish to ship it away, I will only do that as a last resort.
    Thank you,
    J.L.K & J.M.K

    - Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • My iPod nano 4th generation won't download newer podcasts from iTunes

my ipod nano 4th generation won't download newer podcasts from itunes

If you use automatic syncing, select the iPod in iTunes.  There is a row of "tabs" (starting with Summary).  Click on Podcasts there.  This is the Podcasts tab, where you tell iTunes how to sync podcasts.
Sync Podcasts is checkmarked for automatic syncing.  Below that, set up the Podcasts tab to sync podcasts as desired.  For example, you can set it to Automatically include all unplayed episodes of selected podcasts.  The "all unplayed" option gets new podcasts episodes to sync automatically. Select the podcasts below.
When you click Apply, your selection on the Podcasts tab (and the other tabs...  Music, Books, etc.) sync to the iPod.  If the iPod was NOT previously set to use automatic syncing, its existing content is replaced.

  • IPod touch 4th generation, won't update to 5.0.1

iPod touch 4th gen, just over a year old, I've been trying to update the new software for what seems like months now, and every time it downloads the software and then at the last minute-quite literally, tells me that the network connection has timed out. I've checked the diagnostics test and everything is fine apparently, and my internet has always been fine with everything else. Anyone have any ideas? I have also updated the iTunes to ITunes 10.5

1- Download The Firmware you need for your device from Here : http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/
2- After you've dowwnloaded it go to itunes and press Shift while holing Shift button click Update (for windows only i dont know bout the Mac) and select the Firmware you downloaded it in step 1
3- And youre done it will verify the software and then it will update.

  • My iPod Touch 4th generation won't charge?

I haven't dropped it or anything. It just randomly stopped charging. I have tried 3 different cords and I plugged it into my computer but it is not showing up on iTunes and it won't charge. It's also dead. I have tried holding the power button and home button together but it does nothing, the apple symbol doesn't show up. I don't think there's anything wrong with the cords. I have not jailbroken it or anything. But I have a lot of data on there and I don't want to lose it. Please help me ASAP!!!!!

  • My iPod touch 4th generation won't backup to my computer?

When I connect with iTunes or try to manually backup my iPod touch with iTunes onto my computer I get a message pop up saying 'iTunes could not back up the iPod "Anastasia's" because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPod. Delete the back up for this iPod, then try again'
However I don't know how to delete the backup or why I'm getting this message. The last time it backed up automatically was the 25/02/2013 at 20:06 and my iPod software is up to date with iOS 6.1.2.
Moreover on the 13th of January this year I connected to my iTunes and my iPod wiped all my songs off my iPod and reset my bookmarks, Internet history, notes, apps, pictures everything back to the beginning of August 2012. What is happening to my iPod?
If it helps I can still bookmark, go on the Internet, save pictures and notes and put photos music and videos onto my iPod but I just cannot back it up.

To delete the backup go to iTunes>Preferences>Device and highlight the backup and thnat click on Delete.

  • Ipod Touch 4th Generation won't sync- Help?

    Hi,
I have an iPod 4th Generation.
I understand that the iOS 6.1.3 software update is the most 'updated' this generation of iPod can be, but I have noticed that I am unable to sync with the itunes currently on my PC.
I have been using Pandora for music (being as I have no music on my iPod) but I would like to be able to get music on my ipod as to use it outside of my home.
I have not yet synced this iPod to the itunes on this PC, it would've been the first time had I not run into issues.
    Thank you for your help

What happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
If the iPod was synced with another computer/iTunes library then yo can:
    - Sync only music and vidoe susing the manual method specified in the link above.
    - Make this copmuter/iTunes library your syncing computer in order you to sync al media to the iPod.
