IPod Touch apps won't install.

So I updated my iPod Touch to the new OS 3.0 thing. & ever since then, I can't install any new apps. It loads & everything but once it says "Installing...", it just stays there. It never fully installs.
WHAT THE ****.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Going to Settings>iTunes and App stores and sign out and sign back in.

  • Ipod Touch Apps Won't Finish Downloading

I started to download a few game apps on my ipod touch, and it was going fine, but then the it stopped and the status said 'waiting', and didn't change for a while and then the rest changed to 'waiting' also, so i tried to download another app to see if it works, but this time its just stays 'loading', with the black bar still all black.i can connect to the internet with no problems, but the apps won't continue to download.
i was wondering if anyone knows what happened and more importantly how to fix this. if you need any other information just tell me, and i will try to answer to the best of my ability.
    Ipod Touch 2.2.1

try this....go to your settings and get to your wi fi - turn it off.....then wait a minute and turn it back on...try it then ...I waited 15mins on the phone for a support agent to tell me that. How frustrating! Hope it helps! but my problem is that is gave me internet access (which I was having problems with) and my app downloaded successfully, however, it wont pull up now. It just sits as a pretty icon and we cant use it! So what, now another 15minute wait to find out ***???

  • Iphone/ipod touch apps won't load on ipod touch

I have tried to download apps that indicate that they can be used on iphone or ipod touch with 2.2. My ipod touch is updated but the apps won't load. Any ideas?

i also have the same problem, i came across this topic hoping to find an answer. luckily i had just solved my problem. this happened to me twice... i resolved the first problem by restoring to factory setting which is not a good solution cause all my FREE downloaded apps were erased too. so i have to download again.... lately it happened again.. same problem.. but i have resolved it by updating my ups in app store... HOPE this wont happen again.... cause its really bothersome since there arent so many wifi spots here... programs i had are mostly free so maybe its one reason for this problem.... the last app i used b4 the problem was a pdf viewing app... hope this helps...

  • IPod Touch apps won't open if they use WiFi

Ok, so my iPod touch is about a year old and yes, I do have the new software. Every time I try to use any application that requires Wifi (Words With Friends, even Safari) it will drop my wireless connection and the app will crash. Apps that don't require WiFi are unaffected. I rebooted my iPod touch and they began to work, but now, they do not work any more. Any ideas?

    Second Gen iPod Touch?
And have you restored your device from iTunes or just rebooted it from the device?

Troubleshooting applications purchased from the App Store
I went there before coming here and none of those things helped. (I tried every one.) The Dragon Dictation app, which I tried to update, is still stuck in the "waiting" mode. I'm still waiting for the restore from backup to complete.
ETA: The restore worked! However, I'm still unable to update from my iPod or from iTunes. I'll try later.

  • Ipod Touch Apps Won't work now.

So I re formatted my computer and reinstalled Itunes. I wanted to ad some music to my Ipod so I had to re sync ALL my music since it had no recolation of my apps.
Now my applications work, they'll boot up and then shut down. It did this before and I had to re download them all.
I know I can go back and download all the apps one by one but just curious if there is a faster way to get all the apps I paid for back without having to go one by one?
    thank you

    hang on!
crashing apps is fairly common, two usual solutions:
    1. do a reset (hold home and power button at the same time until the silver apple comes up)
    2. download another app

  • Ipod Touch 2nd gen not installing any apps from the app store

My iPod touch isnt letting me install any new apps or any updates. It is letting me get to the stage where it is on the pages, but thenstopps at the Waiting stage and going no further. Can anybody help me to get rid of this problem?

Go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings. You'll have to reenter your network login info, but it should work after that.

  • 2.0 upgrade won't let me restore ipod touch app pack

I can't add back the iPod touch app pack after upgrading to 2.0. Is the app pack now incompatible with 2.0? When I try to open my backed up ipa file, it says "The application 'iPod touch App Pack 4A93.ipa' could not be added to your iTunes library because it is not a valid application." I also thought that maybe the free apps in the App Store has the same applications as what was in the app pack, but I couldn't find them. It would suck if I have to re-purchase!

Okay, it looks like the apps from the pack are part of the 2.0 update. So it makes sense that I don't need to install the app pack. It just threw me off for a minute since I was expecting to see the apps listed in the Applications section of iTunes.

  • Can I copy & install "ipod touch App Pack 4A93" in vista ultimate 64bit

I am to do a clean install of vista ultimate 64bit. This is a move from my present vista Home Premium 32 bit.
All my purchase for for the ipod touch have taken under vista 32bit and details are stored in App Data->Roaming->Apple Computer->iTunes->Mobile Applications->ipod touch App Pack 4A93.
Now when I do a clean install of my latest OS vista ultimate 64bit I will have to wipe clean of the drive and it will erase my "ipod touch App Pack 4A93" aswell. I have saved that in a usb key to copy that back in the correct folder. Now my question is can I copy that back in VISTA 64bit and will it recognise my previous purchases for my ipod touch?
Has anybody know it for sure?
Thanking you in advance for your help and assistance.

    Hello.
I am not sure if the Vista 64 bit will know the folder and App pack or not. But some of the other methods of backing up and getting Apps back you purchased are below. I am not sure about the UK but I know in the USA when you purchase an App you can download it again for free without having to buy it again.

  • IPod Touch 3 won't update apps

iPod Touch 3 won't update apps. When I respond to the notice of an available update, the icon dims and a "waiting" message appears under it. It will hang like that until I delete it and reinstall the new app. I had another problem that has been resolved when I tried to get more episodes of a podcast, I ended up with 11 of them in the queue that wouldn't ever finish. They too would just hang there. I had to delete them all and get them through iTunes. I don't know how to upgrade the apps from iTunes though. Why is this happening just since I upgraded to ios 5.0.1?

If We Update 2nd Gen Ipod Touch From 3.1.3 To Higher Level WilL It Slow my iPod  :/
    I suppose that's debatable.
My iPod does ocassionaly take a few seconds to carry out a command, but since it is such a powerful device, capable of so much, I'm prepared to wait two extra seconds.
(I have 2nd generation iPod Touch with iOS 4.2.1 on it.)
By the way, since your question has no connection to the one asked by the original poster, it would have been far wiser for you to create your own thread. That way, you are actually more likely to get responsess to your question.

  • Apps won't install/update. Low memory.

For ipod touch 4g...using iOS 5.1--can someone tell me why my apps won't install all of a sudden? I thought it might be a memory problem since the diagnostic says my mem is low, but closing all apps in the dock didn't help. Neither did restarting or resetting the ipod.

It shows that I have 14.3GB free. What happens is that whenever I try to install an app it stays at the 'waiting' stage for a really long time. Then when I erase the app and try to reinstall it tells me that the app has already been downloaded and that I should check for available downloads. Installing the app from the computer works fine, but I don't understand why I can't do it from the ipod anymore.
