IPod touchm notes disappearing off iPod - found on email account. How do I get them back on the iPod touch?

My Notes (yellow notes app) disappeared from my iPod touch running iOS 6.1.3 and found out here they'd been "synced" to my email account. Sure enough there they were. As suggested, I went into settings for the email account on my iPod and removed "notes" as one of the things to track. I checked the settings for Notes and there is no option to make the iPod the place to keep things (apparently, this is an option on the iPhone version of Notes). Now my test note has stayed on the iPod. But how do I get the old notes that are sitting in an email account back to my iPod?
Also, I'm not sure who decided "sync" should mean "remove from one device and put it on the other device". This is not most people's definition of "sync". It isn't done with email syncing. When I send mail (yahoo or gmail), from either the iPod or some other device, the sent mail shows up on both devices, not on one or the other.

Are you sure they are not there? Check your later pages. Syncing often reloads the apps out of sequence. Also check in iTunes under Apps that Sync Apps is checked.

I was having this same issue. I went into Settings -> iCloud and turned the Notes sync ON (which when I tried to do previously, i was prompted to create an iCloud email address which I already had). Once I turned that on, I went to Settings ->Notes and I now see a "Default Account" selection which is set to iCloud. Now all of my new notes save on the phone and on the cloud. This doesn't fix the fact that I appear to have forever LOST all the notes I had before iOS6.1. Apple, we're still waiting for a response???

On your iPod Touch, open the iTunes app. There should be tab named "purchased", which shows all your purchase history. Choose the "Not on this iPod" tab and you'll get a list of purchased products that are not on your device. Hope this helped.

You didn't import all of your pics regularly? Particularly before an update?
They may very well be gone.
You can try restoring from backup.

Have you checked whether the emails are visible at http://icloud.com ? If they are, it's a problem between your Mac and the website; sign out in System Preferences>iCloud and sign back in again.
If they aren't, then it's a server problem and you need to contact Support. If you currently happen to have AppleCare, either because you recently bought Apple hardware or have paid to extend the inititial period, you can contact them here:

You will need the serial number of the covered hardware.
If you are not covered by AppleCare, then - in common with other free email services - there is no free support and you may be asked to pay a fee; if so you should argue that this is a problem they've caused (it's not the first time, by the way) and you shouldn't be charged.

Thanks for that babowa. If I add my Yahoo account it just goes straight to MacMail and says I already have an account. There seems to be no basic problem with mails going between Macmail and Yahoo. It is just the folders that have disappeared, while MacMail was out of action. I don't think those particular folders were ever on the Yahoo mail that I access through BT, they were just on the MacMail under "Yahoo" as opposed to "On my Mac". I am worried in case I lose what I already have if I press "Restore" from my back up. As you can see, I am not exactly good at this!

You may have blundered into "Full Screen" mode, an abomination ported from iOS, the iPhone Operating System, land of tiny screens and one-at-a-time Applications.
Try clicking the double-arrows in the extreme upper right of the MenuBar or Window.

There is no siri on my phone.... I went to search for it under the search thing and there is no Siri, and there is nothing about siri in my settings...
It won't show up under Search as there is no Siri 'app'. It's activated by pressing and holding the Home button. Check Settings > General > Siri > On. If not there, check Settings > General > Restrictions.

I believe I had leopard and I was having issues getting errors of system not being supported. I contacted Apple and was advised I needed to upgrade to snow leopard. My laptop is from 2009 and I haven't done anything to it till now. The apple rep also stated I should do a fresh install when putting snow leopard on so my laptop would run faster. Apple rep told me to get a external hard drive to put my info on it so the fresh install would reset everything to like it was brand new. I had someone help me with getting everything on the EHD.. doing the right format and such and then once that was done I put in the CD for snow leopard and hit install. Which brings me to now, with everything but my pictures. I have the EHD plugged in... now what? What do I do? I have looked in the EHD in iphoto and it was all standard images *not my pictures but images of a check mark or an arrow again not actual pictures. I don't see a folder pictures and i looked for images and found nothing. I have Applications, Included Free Designs, Library, System, User Guides and Information and Users, those are my options and non of those have a "pictures"

I purchased tv shows and ibooks on my ipad and then when I synced with my computer they all ended up on my computer in itunes. They aren't on my ipad anymore. How do I put some of them back on my ipad. Also, I tried to make another purchase on my ipad but it said I didn't have enough room. If the shows are in fact still on the pad, they will be found in the videos app, not the music or I tunes app. Look there and see if they are still there.
If you don't see them there, go to the searchlight screen ( farthest left home page) and type in the name of one of the shows. If it is on the pad, hiding somewhere, this will find it.
If they are not there, they should not be using up space.
To get them back onto your pad, plug in and sync again. Make sure you transfer purchases first. Before you sync, take a look at the video tab in your I tunes, and check what you want and don't want synced.
